France: Father of Strasbourg jihad shooter says son supported the Islamic State (ISIS)

25

Meanwhile, look at the father. It’s clear what kind of household the killer grew up in. Cherif Chekatt, the Strasbourg jihad shooter, was born in Strasbourg and grew up there. But it’s clear just from one photograph of his father that Cherif wasn’t raised to have French values, or to consider himself a French citizen. Rather, Cherif Chekatt was almost certainly raised to despise France as an infidel country full of those whom he considered enemies because they were non-Muslims. So it is no surprise that he ultimately went jihad. How long can France tolerate these sharia no-go zones, and yes, that is exactly what they are, and survive?

“Father of Strasbourg shooter says son supported Islamic State,” AFP, December 16, 2018:

PARIS, France — The man described as the father of the 29-year-old suspect in this week’s deadly Christmas market attack in Strasbourg says his son subscribed to the beliefs of the Islamic State group.

Story continues below advertisement

The interview with Abdelkrim Chekatt by the state-run France 2 television channel was shown Saturday night, two days after the son was killed in a confrontation with three police officers in his childhood neighborhood in Strasbourg following a massive manhunt. Four people died in the Tuesday night attack. A dozen others were wounded….

Chekatt said he had seen his son, Cherif Chekatt, three days before the attack but couldn’t contact him while he was on the run.

He acknowledged that his son backed the IS group.

“He’d say, for example, that Daesh, fights for the just cause and all that,” the red-bearded father said, using the common term in France and elsewhere for the Islamic State group.

The interview, initially outdoors with the father, continued briefly inside with Cheriff Chekatt’s mother, Rouadja Rouag, who expressed shock and sorrow for the deaths. France 2 said the couple had been divorced for a long time.

Abdelkrim Chekatt, a French-Algerian, said he’d tried in the past to dissuade his son from backing the Islamic State, saying, “You don’t see the atrocities they commit.” The son would reply that “it’s not them,” the father said.

Shortly after Chekatt’s death, the Islamic State group’s Amaq news agency claimed he was a “soldier” of the group. French Interior Minister Christophe Castaner rejected the claim as “totally opportunistic.”…

The father said he went to police of his own accord and on a suspicion the night of the son’s rampage with a handgun and a knife.

He said he told police that “if ever you locate Cherif, tell me. I’ll go to him and try to reason with him to give up.”

He also said that if his son had told him about a project to kill “I would have denounced him, and he wouldn’t have killed or been killed.”

The murderer again believed in a “just” cause of the unjust Muhammadism.
The words truth & justice were indoctrination tools of unjust Muhammad.
The government doesn’t promote truth & justice & instead censors in the service of Muhammadization & Muhammadist tyranny.
We must realize that true ethical values are necessary tools to survive: truth, love, justice, ecology, freedom from religion & to atheism, English, healthy food (see DrAxe.com), cultivation of ecological best quality basics, support for self-realization & global imperialism.
Notes:
• Algeria had a surge of enslavement of Africans lately.
Unjust Muhammad said his unproven deity had turned Africans black so African’s descendants would be slaves to Arabs & Turks & today Africans are enslaved from Saudi Arabia to Mauritania.
• the red-colored beard is a reference to unjust Muhammad who also colored his beard red I think.

Why does everyone make a big deal about some moslem supporting isis? Their affiliations change nothing. Their raping, stealing, torturing, and murdering has nothing to do with their affiliations. It is due to them being moslems. A moslem is a moslem is a moslem. They are all the same, the vilest of ALL creatures.

Well said, it is the truth and the whole truth. One way or the other through ISIS or the Qur’an’s tenets Muslims justify their subhuman actions. All the same, indeed.

The biggest problem that I have with some conservative acquaintances, is when the subject of moslems arise. They’re always spouting terms such as “radical islam”, “isis”, etc. When I state that isis is not the problem and “radical islam” is not the problem … Rather, it is moslems that are the problem, ALL moslems … They simply get a blank stare and cannot seem to grasp that most basic fact.

You are right; I question some of the conservatives’ views, as well. I am not certain whether they fear the label Islamophobe or just don’t get. At least, you have acquaintances, Achmed; I am turning into a hermit of sorts.

My acquaintances are becoming fewer and fewer. Many shuffled off of this mortal coil. Many of the others were too left wing-nut regressive and I tired of their stupidity.

It sounds familiar; oh well, Achmed, we have this site and perhaps others.

It really wasn’t that long ago (or so it seems) that people were always popping into my office, or dropping by my home . I always had coffee at the ready and, at home, choice of beer, Scot’s whiskey, bourbon, a decent claret or a bottle of sparkling for poor thirsty souls. Times have changed. Do you know how many people that ask me why I have no fakebook account or twitter … to keep in contact with them. I simply shake my head and move on.

The few progressive I know, I see somewhat infrequently. My extended family are Liberals to an extreme. Facebook, me, too, it and other social media, I avoid like the plague as they are that, a contagion.

Thank God, my wife and I are politically and philosophically the same. Marriage, relationships are hard and trying enough with those commonalities; if my wife were a Progressive, the relationship would have died an ugly death. Like you, however, I count my blessings and try being a decent person but not by turning my cheek to leftist dunderheads and of course, Muslims. Take care.

I don’t see defiance, I see deep sorrow in the man’s face. He’s also quoted as saying he, ” … went to police of his own accord and on a suspicion the night of the son’s rampage with a handgun and a knife … and told police that ‘if ever you locate Cherif, tell me. I’ll go to him and try to reason with him to give up,’ and that if his son had told him about a project to kill ‘I would have denounced him, and he wouldn’t have killed or been killed.’” Maybe this is all a big act on the father’s part, and he’s only sad about losing his child. But a true fanatic would be celebrating his son as a martyr. I don’t agree with many of the comments that automatically condemn all Muslims as terrorists and I’m turned off by bigotry. IMO bigotry is counterproductive.

You are right, not all Muslims are terrorists, but all Muslims endorse, practice and belong to a criminal organization that masquerades as a religion that does, in fct, encourage, defend, practice the most horrible and beastly crimes humans are capable of causing. They have been murdering, raping, terrorizing for over 1500 years and I say, and I hope you will join me, “Enough is enough!” It is not “bigotry” to condemn Islam, it is common sense and decency that compels me and millions of others to demand this criminal organization be banned and its adherents deported, isolated, rendered incapable of spreading their crimes.

What about the people who are born into Muslim families and don’t even know what Islam is? Do they get deported too?

NO, only those who practice and adhere to Islam would IMHO be deported, but the rage in the West is increasing and I fear my moderate views may not prevail.

Why doesn’t our or any government get it.
The problem is islam, period.

1, Muslims consider mohamed to be the most perfect human being to have ever walked this earth.
2, Anything mohamed did, sanctioned in the koran is perfectly acceptable for muslims to do.
3, mohamed said what your right hand posseses. If an infadel female, you can do what you like to her because she does not believe in islam and allah.
4, mohamed went in to battle and in one afternoon beheaded over 600 jewish men and shared out and sold off the captured woman and children to his soldiers or sold for slavery in the market.
5, so everything mohamed did is perfectly acceptable and condoned under the banner of islam.
6,The pakistani rape gangs, sanctioned by mohameds behavioural example

Laws protect religious choice but can such a repugnant ideology be classed as a religion in the first place.

In simple this is why muslims cannot be allowed to remain in a society than holds high moral value and reasoning. They should not on any level be allowed to hold possitions of authority because they will use the power/control to impliment sharia, they will not use the power to make life better for the infidel or the country unless is benefits them directly.
Selling halal meat to infidels is illegal.
Lancashire County council has just banned halal meat from its 27 schools, the fight back has started

I hope this man realizes that he made a horrible mistake that has caused the death of his son and his’s sons victims, and that was to flee Morocco and come to France and to continue to practice Islam. He had an opportunity to embrace western civilization and become part of it. He refused and is now paying part of the price of that refusal.
