Jew-hatred. It’s all they do. BDS is the 21st-century version of Kristallnacht. Remember that the Nazis began their actions against the Jews by holding boycotts of Jewish businesses in Germany. BDS leads directly into the genocidal rhetoric of the “Palestinians,” and so it’s no surprise that terror-tied CAIR would be involved in this. Both the BDS movement and “Palestinian” jihad groups share the same Jew-hatred. And now that the Left is more emboldened and openly violent and disruptive than ever, we are going to see more and more BDS initiatives, and more attempts like this one to crush all opposition to this neo-Nazi effort. Kudos, therefore, to Greg Abbott and Texas for bucking the trend and standing firm against this neo-Nazi movement.
“Texas speech pathologist files federal lawsuit over anti-BDS law,” Times of Israel, December 17, 2018:

A speech pathologist, who reportedly lost her job at an Austin-area school district for refusing to sign a pledge not to boycott Israel, is suing the state of Texas in a bid to repeal a law targeting the anti-Israel Boycott Divestment and Sanctions movement.
According to a Monday report in The Intercept, Bahia Amawi filed the First Amendment suit in a Texas federal court, in a bid to have the state law struck down and the anti-BDS pledge removed from the school district’s employment contracts.
Amawi worked with the local Arabic-speaking community at the Pflugerville Independent School District since 2009, on a contract basis. She told the news site that the district renewed her contract each year without incident, but when she received the documents for the 2018-19 school year in August, Amawi said it included a new clause requiring that she “not boycott Israel during the term of the contract,” and refrain from any action “that is intended to penalize, inflict economic harm on, or limit commercial relations with Israel, or with a person or entity doing business in Israel, or in an Israel-controlled territory.”
Amawi, who is of Palestinian descent, told The Intercept that she could not sign the new contract “in good conscience.”
“If I did, I would not only be betraying Palestinians suffering under an occupation that I believe is unjust… but I’d also be betraying my fellow Americans by enabling violations of our constitutional rights to free speech and to protest peacefully,” she said.
As a result, the Pflugerville school district refused to renew her contract. Amawi called it “baffling” that a US law would “protect another country’s economy” over the constitutional free speech rights of US citizens….
“As CAIR Challenges Texas Ban on Boycotting Israel, Governor Retorts, ‘Texas Stands With Israel. Period,’” by Patrick Goodenough, CNS News, December 18, 2018:
(CNSNews.com) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) announced a lawsuit Monday challenging legislation in Texas which prohibits government agencies from contracting with or investing in companies that boycott Israel.
CAIR’s legal defense fund is supporting a speech therapist whose attempt to renew her contract with a school district in an Austin suburb hit a hurdle when she refused to sign a document affirming she does not boycott Israel.
According to documents filed in the U.S. District Court in the city on Monday, Bahia Amawi, who supports the so-called boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement, declined to sign an addendum to contract papers, and was told her contract could not be renewed as a result.
“Ms. Amawi advocates for boycotts of Israel due to Israel’s continuing violations of international law in its treatment of Palestinians,” the suit says. “Specifically, Ms. Amawi boycotts products created in Israel in support of the peaceful Palestinian Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement.’
“As an advocate for Palestinian rights and justice, she cannot in good faith certify or state that she does not boycott Israel, and will not engage in a boycott of Israel.”
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott last year signed into law legislation prohibiting state entities from entering into contracts for goods and services unless the entity concerned verifies in writing that it “does not boycott Israel” and “will not boycott Israel during the term of the contract.”
The Texas House of Representatives had earlier approved the bill by 131-0, and the Texas Senate by 27-4.
On Monday, Abbott sounded a defiant note on Twitter: “Texas stands with Israel. Period.”
CAIR, which calls itself the nation’s biggest Muslim civil rights and advocacy group, claims the BDS movement is “in support of Palestinian human rights.”…
