The hatred of the good for being the good. Joshua Trump should change his name to Barack Hussein Obama. Obama was the worst President in American history, but that name has cred. Little Barack would be a hero among his witless leftist classmates. But a boy named Trump? The President has defeated ISIS, turned the economy, lowered unemployment to record levels, opened up a path to peace with North Korea, gotten us out of the disastrous Iran deal, and the class feels free to bully this boy and call him stupid. This is what the left has done to our nation. And they aren’t finished.

Story continues below advertisementThe parents of Joshua Trump, a student at Talley Middle School in Wilmington, claim their son started getting teased by classmates when Donald Trump first announced plans to run for the White House in June 2015.
Even after a year of homeschooling, the bullying has risen to such aggressive and troubling levels since Joshua Trump’s return to the classroom that officials in the Brandywine School District have agreed to let him use his father’s surname instead, WPVI reports.
“He was getting ridiculed and bullied for the fact that his last name was Trump,” father Bobby Berto told the station. “I pulled him out of school and homeschooled him for a year.”
Joshua’s parents had assumed that the bullying would subside as their son moved into middle school, but those hopes were soon dashed, they said.
“They curse at him, they call him an idiot, they call him stupid,” the boy’s mother, Megan Trump, told WPVI.
Trump and Berto met with school officials to discuss their son’s previous issues with his name. Principal Mark Mayer acknowledged that the boy’s last name has become an issue at the 800-student school, with some educators taking steps to not even say it aloud.
“I do know the teachers were aware of the last name, and I know in speaking with the student that the teachers do their very best to try not to say his last name,” Mayer said….

This is TOO much. Isn’t “bullying” supposed to be a no-tolerance offense, such as nibbling a pop tart into a pistol shape? Seriously, if the act of eating a pop tart or sandwich is an offense worthy of being expelled, you’d think that this would be a more serious offense. The students should be expelled. The teachers that allow this should be fired “for cause” and the administrators barred from ANY public school positions for the rest of their life.

The school is negligent, the students should be suspended, and charges filed with the police. They should have gotten a lawyer way back. Hope the child doesn’t need therapy, I am sure I would.

Yes, we now see ads on billboards and all over tv denouncing bullying. How bullying must be stopped. How harmful it really is. On and on they go with it. And yet, here is a clear case of bullying and those who are so vociferous about it, are silent. How odd. The anti-bullying campaign is ONLY to protect the snowflakes. No one else.

I don’t get it? Are the students at that school ignorant? Why would they bully a person because of his name? I blame the school as well. they should hold a student body meeting in the auditorium and individually in the classes. They should ask the students what they think they are doing, and explain why their actions are wrong, and stupid. All students accused of bullying should be sent to the principal, their names jotted down, given to the parents attorney.
Why are people so complacent? File charges against the school, for their inability to protect this boy, and also against the students, for harassment, and for terrorizing this kid.
Get the male relatives involved, take kid to school, pick him up, make a stand. Get ones who look strong. My friend’s daughter was being harassed on the bus, her Father went to the bus corner, got on the bus, and went up to the kid harassing his daughter, and clearly discussed the matter with the bully. No more harassment.
I think this family should sue. If this kid was from a minority, or a different religion, I am sure this bullying would have made the international news.
Recall when L. Lynch warned the American people about any backlash after the San Bernardino massacre? No one had even done anything, and her warning came on the heels of the attack, I believe within 24 hours. She told people to call her.
So who does this kid call? ACLU? Where are they? What about this kid’s rights?
This kid is being traumatized. In addition, if he will go, send him to karate lessons. My brother was callously bullied, he went to karate, he went to boxing classes. Suffice to say, he was no longer bullied.

If this was a Muslim boy being bullied for his religion or his name, it’d be national news, the bullies would be in jail or expelled. Big name politicians would be decrying how we don’t allow discrimination in our country.
But because the teachers are probably Liberals also, they refuse to deal with the aggressive kids. However it’s a two-way street. There are Atheist kids in schools/towns dominated by Christians who get bullied and harassed by the Christians, so obviously such things shouldn’t be happening either.
The key here is education. If children were taught about both the Left and Right political perspectives, they’d be a lot more open-minded and tolerant towards each other.

So deeply embedded is the hatred of other students is — even if Joshua Trump’s name were changed to Barack Obama — would they not call him a “chicken” or “coward”? Ultimately, wouldn’t he go from a frying pan into the fire? Those students were taught by parents and/or society to hate no matter what.
