On the brighter side of the street, the United States will vote “No” on a U.N. resolution criticizing Israel’s control of the Golan Heights rather than abstain as it has in previous years.
Nikki Haley, the outgoing U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, announced her country’s decision in a statement Thursday about a General Assembly vote scheduled for Friday.
“In previous years, the United States has abstained from voting on this resolution,” she wrote about the annual passing of a draft resolution titled “The Occupied Syrian Golan.” However, “given the resolution’s anti-Israel bias, as well as the militarization of the Syrian Golan border, and a worsening humanitarian crisis, this year the United States has decided to vote no.
Business as Usual as UN Committee Passes Nine Resolutions Slamming Israel in Single Day
Algemeiner staff, November 14, 2017,A special committee of the United Nations General Assembly on Friday voted in favor of nine resolutions attacking the State of Israel — with the rest of the world left unmentioned.
The resolutions were passed in quick succession by the General Assembly’s “Fourth Committee,” which is also known as the “Special Political and Decolonization Committee.”
While the committee’s mandate covers a host of disconnected issues from peacekeeping to the uses of outer space, much of the focus of its work concerns the Palestinian question. In political terms, the committee is a significant source of support for UNRWA, the UN body dedicated solely to Palestinian refugees of the 1948 war and their descendants. It also operates the “The Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices Affecting the Human Rights of the Palestinian People and Other Arabs of the Occupied Territories” — which created in 1968 at the instigation of the Soviet Union and its Arab allies.
Friday’s resolutions saw Israel condemned for alleged human rights abuses, its “occupation” of eastern Jerusalem, and its “occupation” of the Golan Heights captured from Syria during the 1967 Six-Day War. The ongoing civil war in Syria itself, and the continuing abuse of human rights in the devastated Arab country, made no appearance in Friday’s deliberations.
One resolution completely ignored Palestinian violence as it emphasized “the responsibility of Israel, the occupying Power, to investigate all acts of settler violence against Palestinian civilians and their properties and to ensure accountability for these acts.”
Another resolution condemned Israel for refusing to cooperate with the Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices, claiming as well that the continued crisis in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip — which Israel withdrew from completely in 2005 — was the consequence of “unlawful Israeli practices and measures.”
The UN just voted to condemn Israel 9 times, and the rest of the world 0.

It is obvious that the United Nations is very biased against the nation of Israel. One could say that the United Nations is antisemitic. Also the United Nations is heavily influenced by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The United States should continue to reduce its funding of United Nations programs. In brief, the rapture is a sudden, unannounced catching away from the present world system the saints of God by a command from Jesus Christ. It is mentioned in Revelation chapter 4. Prior to this however, John the Apostle describes the condition of the various churches in chapters 2 and 3 throughout Church history beginning in Ephesus and ending in Laodicea. The Ephesian church is identical with the apostolic 1st Century church while the church in Laodicea is identified with the apostate condition of the church just prior to the faithful Church’s removed from the earth to heaven near the end of this age.
In Revelation 4 and expression of the rapture is found in verse 1:”Come up hither”, where John is immediately transferred from earth to heaven to reveal magnificent sights and happenings.
The first mention of a translation to heaven in Scripture is actually in Genesis 5 regarding Enoch, the seventh from Adam. He was translated without experiencing death because he walked with God for many years, so he was taken to heaven and never seen again on earth. Apparently no other translations occurred at this time because in chapter 6, it is said the earth was filled with violence and that man’s behavior was totally given over to evil.
This topic is interesting and intense, but the best source for obtaining understanding of the rapture is Scripture itself. Hope this introductory and indeed, brief answer helps your research into an event that even most attending Church today do not believe will happen.

Only 9 resolutions against Israel? That is not the world record. I can’t remember which year it was since I wrote that book long time ago (and I am losing it, too) but the world record was 11 resolutions against Israel (I guess in the 70-s or 80-s).
And naturally speaking there was not one single resolution against any of the barbaric idiots who lead various countries back then.
The UN has become a joke when they invited Arafat the first time (I think in 1970). I don’t think I could find just one normal human being who cares about what comes out of that mental institution.
