Of all of the issues to resist in Congress, Senator Paul chooses to resist military aid for America’s greatest ally. Senator Paul does not seem to understand that a powerful Israel is in the national security interest of the United States.
Paul has opposed financial aid to all countries in the region. Unfortunately, his stance on military aid to Israel is dead wrong. Israel is the only pro-America democracy in the region. Israel is also on the front line of the war against Islamic terrorism. By providing Israel with the means to defend itself, the U.S is helping to prevent Islamic terror from reaching New York, Washington, Dallas, Miami, and Los Angeles. Imagine what the Middle East would look like if Israel did not have the military it currently has. Imagine the terror that would be unleashed by Iran. U.S troops would need to be stationed there en masse to prevent the region from exploding. However, a strong and powerful Israel helps prevent the region from spiraling completely out of control.
Paul has also not taken into account the extensive intelligence that Israel provides to the U.S (as they should) free of charge. Israel also provides invaluable feedback on military equipment and fighter jets, since these weapons are used in live combat so frequently. In addition, Israel will take U.S weapons and make them even better by enhancing them for the purpose of fighting jihad armies, which Israel has unmatched experience and knowledge about. This is why both Boeing and Lockheed Martin have established extensive research centres in Israel.
Senator Paul needs to understand that a strong and powerful Israeli military helps save American lives. Given what Israel provides and helps to ensure, $38 billion over 10 years is a bargain.
“Sen. Paul places hold on US security assistance to Israel,” by Jackson Richman, JNS, November 21, 2018:
(November 21, 2018 / JNS) Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), who has a history of being skeptical about U.S. taxpayer funds going towards the Jewish state, has placed a hold on the U.S.-Israel Security Assistance Authorization Act of 2018, which provides Israel with $38 billion in military aid over the next decade.
This has caused backlash from organizations such as the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
“This bipartisan legislation authorizes full funding of security assistance to ensure Israel has the means to defend itself,” AIPAC posted on Facebook with a link to “urge Sen. Paul to stop blocking aid to Israel.”
“We are working hard to gain a final vote on this critical legislation,” AIPAC spokesperson Marshall Wittmann told JNS. “We believe that it will be enacted before Congress adjourns for the year.”
A hold is a procedure where a senator tells his or her floor leader that he or she does not want a specific measure to reach the floor for consideration, and therefore may filibuster any motion to proceed to debate the bill or other measure.
However, in this case, Majority Leader and fellow Kentucky Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell does not have to abide by Paul’s request….

I’m not sure Israel needs our money for this. The economy of Israel is doing VERY WELL!
Muslims countries sure don’t need our aid and remember we have at least 20 TRILLION in debt.
The majority of “aid” given to Israel is required to be spent with US companies. That translates to increased jobs and tax base in the USA. (Contrast that with monies given to Arabs, which ends up in private Swiss accounts)
Thanks for the clarification.
I don´t trust Mr Paul. He is like his father and like his father he is an antisemite, though not like the moslems or the Leftists.
The Senate and the House should not care about him at all.
Israel is our best ally and is in a dangerous situation, surrounded by enemy nazi states. Stop Paul´s proposition.
And don´t forget, Ron Paul was for Iran deal and his son is exactly like him
An antisemite is someone whom the Jews hate.
an·ti-Sem·ite
/ˌan(t)ēˈseˌmīt,ˌanˌtīˈseˌmīt/Submit
noun
noun: antisemite
a person who is hostile to or prejudiced against Jews.
“he was not just a bigot, but also an anti-Semite”
Arabs are Semites. Guess you don’t know that. It’s OK to hate Arabs.
No, an antisemite is someone who obsessive hates Jews and blames them for everything, including his/her hate of them. It is a form of derangement.
who else is an ally of the U.S.A.? It appears nobody else is.
iT WOULD BE JUST to take these nazi -islamists here in the USA OFF ALL FREE STUFF AND MAKE THEM MOVE -THEY are not nice to us now because the amount of moslems in the USA has grown too big and when they get over a certain persentage then they are evil and nasty as they push the agenda of SHARIAH LAW over our CONSTITUTION. They are to the point of terrorism and that it is right here in the USA . When will the push back against this evil of islam begin?
That isn’t entirely true, felix. We helped Israel build Iron Dome, which has protected them from thousands of missiles! We need to totally stop sending money to Muslim countries, for SURE, but Israel needs our support.
I don’t trust the US government anymore, I hope Israel doesn’t either — particularly WRT the F-35, which supposedly can be rendered inoperative remotely.
It’s not a question of need.
Here’s the thing…
America and Israel are forever linked under a Godly covenant.
Separate one from the other and spiritual (and subsequent physical) chaos ensues.
But aside from all that, if there’s a nation who’s actually deserving of American foreign aide and monetary assistance based on a mutual admiration for freedom and a healthy return investment of shared military support and intelligence, it’s Israel.
LOL, That was good.
Ah, love that!
Yeah, I’m gonna have to ask my conservative Jewish friend about that meme. Apparently, not all Jewish people share the same sense of humor! Yikes!
Right on.
Of course I can only speak for myself but personally it struck me as a bit of benevolent religious humor.☺️
And, you would be correct, my friend. Being Catholic myself, that kind of good-natured ribbing is what I grew up with. I’ve not only heard ’em all, but have repeated a goodly number as well. Pope John Paul II was my all-time favorite Pope, and he didn’t hide the fact that he found the “Pope-on-a-rope” shower soap highly amusing! I’ve always thought that a bit of irreverence is good for the soul. But, as you said, I’m speaking only for myself.
Hahaha! That’s awesome!
And concerning your take, I couldn’t agree more.
In fact, a little irreverence regarding religion is a GOOD thing!
Question:
How do you make holy water?
Answer:
Boil the Hell out of it.????
Being a Catholic in my earlier years, am well familiar with holy water and how it was used back in my time, such as in classrooms when the students got out of hand. On one occasion, it was used during a thunderstorm.
I never realized that there is a difference between Christ and Christ. This is deep, heady stuff. But then I was taught to believe that born-again-Christians are condescending hill billies like Billy Graham.
I am not a Catholic. You, however, are a prime example of why religious fanatics are responsible for man’s inhumanity to man. Your holier-than-thou distortion of Christ’s message of peace and love is malicious, terrifying and evil.
“cannabilism in the form of the eucharist”, really? Eucharist crackers might be tasteless and bland but I don’t think they’re made out soylent green.
Normally, I refrain from discussing my salvation and eternal reward/damnation with strangers in comment sections. Today ain’t lookin’ much different …. dear.
I have no need to “recheck that salvation thing”. Did I not use the phrase “eternal reward/damnation”? The way I deal with my demise and my afterlife is my business, not yours … as I so crystal-clearly stated. Perhaps you should recheck that ‘sanctimony’ thing … honey bun.
There for a minute, you sounded very … Catholic. That Holy Spirit stuff is common knowledge amongst us mackerel eaters. I do enjoy watching you haughtily judging others. It’s so … how you say … “pot/kettle”-ish.
I don’t recall asking for your help. Please, if you are at your wits’ end, by all means save your energy to use on someone else.
It’s interesting that you so readily embrace the (speculative IMHO) writings of 21st century mortals T.A. McMahon and Colin Melbourne, yet are so willing to relegate 2,000 years of historically documented events to the trash heap. However, if we’re going to reference modern writings, I am much more inclined to be in alignment with the findings of Dr. A. David Anders, PhD.
I couldn’t care less what would or would not break your heart. I live my life according to what I know is true, and I do it the best I can. But if you want to start counting the bricks in your golden sidewalk to heaven, be my guest. I just wouldn’t take too much for granted if I were you.
That meme is not just offensive, it’s evil. I’m a Jew and I celebrate my Messiah and keep His Torah. Christians are still bound to Rome, and blow off Messiah’s Sabbaths and Feasts, which we are commanded to keep.
My apologies, Dorrie.
Elaine, what for ???
Another person above, who is Jewish, informed me that the meme is evil. I did not know that, so I apologized to her.
I accept your apology, but see that the meme is still there. It’s an open insult to Jews and MANY of us keep Messiah’s Feasts & Sabbaths. His Word says that those who do not, will be told on that Day, “I never knew you.” I grieve for those who don’t understand that. Yeshua haMashiach didn’t come to start a new religion, He came to bring salvation first to the Jew, then the Gentile. Those first believers were called “The Way” and all of them kept Torah, as did all of Yeshua’s disciples. It was Rome that started a new religion and incorporated Paganism into it, to appease the Pagans in Rome, thus came “Christmas” and “Easter.” Mass is said for the dead and MY Messiah isn’t dead, therefore I celebrate His birth when He was born – at Feast of Tabernacles. Not a MASS on the date that a false god was born (Dec. 25) and Easter is the birthday of the false god, Ishtar. Eggs were dipped in baby’s blood to celebrate … Today, “Christians” seem ignorant of the similarities and proudly dye eggs. Our Holy God sees all they do, in both ignorance or just not knowing. Even some who know, continue with “man’s traditions” rather than God’s Commands to observe His Sabbaths and Feasts.
Shalom 🙂
That meme isn’t going anywhere. It’s a harmless play on words, depicting leavened vs. unleavened bread, noting that Christians celebrate the Resurrection of Christ, and Jews celebrate Passover. If somehow you managed to see evil in a caricature of these events, that’s your problem. If I truly wanted to insult and disparage Jews and the Jewish religion, it surely wouldn’t be by using a blob of dough.
You paint with an awfully broad brush, and speak very condescendingly. That, I can live without. Have a nice day.
As a Jew this is a bunch of BS. Stop be so sensitive.
Well, I like it. And it cannot be ‘evil’ unless one believes one faith or the other is ‘evil’ or that the meme is intended to attack one or both for being ‘evil.’
My favorite is the one offered by Avi Lipkin about a clever politician. I think it was Ariel Sharon but I’m not sure. Anyway, so the Messiah arrives on the Temple Mount. The clever politician gets an inspiration. He calls up El Al, and sends a bus to the airport. El Al asks him what he wants, and he says, “Would you let me borrow all of those nice young ladies at your ticket counter? The Messiah just arrived, and I want to send them up to the Temple Mount to ask Him if this is first time visiting Israel … or his second.”
😉
Hahaha! Good one!
Yeah, I fail to see how some people can find a way to inject evil and nefarious intent into a cartoon illustration of leavened vs. unleavened bread! Sheesh. This is the era of ultra-sensitivity, I guess.
It is a good joke – but its Avi Lipkin’s joke and not mine – and he’s Jewish.
All of my Jewish friends have a sense of humor. They’re great people, and they love jokes.
Same here. I have only a handful of Jewish friends, but all of them love humor. I guess it’s gotta be that some people simply choose to be miserable.
I don’t know much about Avi Lipkin, other than the name. Did a little reading … quite a compelling character! One of my favorite people in the whole world is Ben Stein. Smart guy. Pithy, and hits the nail on the head.
Right, but the USA is doing the dirty work for them, it’s all Gods will.
I think I’m going to block you, merely because you think you have a right to judge others and show your ignorance so vividly. Bye bye, asshat.
If you had more of an I.Q. than room temperature, you’d know better than that. Sad…
ALL versions. Pick one.
Exactly.
Actually, it’s constitutional. Nowhere did we authorize in the Constitution giving money to ANY country.
Off topic but ….. we know the EU is anti Jew and anti Christian
I am struggling to see how WAR is not a necessary.
Merkel: EU States Must Prepare to Hand National Sovereignty over to Brussels
By Virginia Hale
Nov. 23,2018
German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said that European Union (EU) member states must be prepared to transfer powers over to Brussels at a debate on the ‘tensions’ between globalisation and national sovereignty.
“Nation states must today be prepared to give up their sovereignty,” Merkel said, speaking at an event organised by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Berlin on Wednesday.
https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2018/11/23/merkel-eu-hand-sovereignty-brussels/
Does the German people know that she is stealing their country from them?
Germans don’t have a country. The only have a lease on it since WWWII .
Sometimes he gets it right and other times, I often don’t relate to where he is coming from.
He’s not as bad as his father but still has similar problems.
On healthcare, he is right…….
Rand and Ron Paul’s principles come from a reading of the Constitution of the United States, which they swore before God to uphold. Try it, yourself.
Umm NOPE, their principles come from their own left-of-center policies…
Paul has been clear on this for a long time because it’s constitutional…. know what jerusalem is actually speaking of.
I saw Ron Paul at a campaign event in… 2007? That cycle, certainly.
His cultists, er, followers were certainly enthusiastic (and I was interested, though at the time I was hoping Fred Thompson would jump in firmly – his wishiwashiness was definitely not an asset!). What irked me was that they were loud, obnoxious, and he did NOTHING to settle them down, even when their outbursts and loud talking would interrupt and drown out the other speakers. My feeling was that if he didn’t have the courtesy, let alone strength of character, to get people to settle down when he was there live-and-in-person, it didn’t speak well of him.
Finally, someone got it right.
For more than a half century, Israel has been a ‘laboratory’ of modern warfare, anti-terrorism strategy, new weapons testing and much more. American investment in Israel has paid off tremendously. It is worth remembering that Israel’s top intelligence officers strongly cautioned Bush against the 2nd Iraq war – they easily predicted the hideous quagmire that it would become and that it would unsettle the whole mideast and they were right. Jew-haters blithely claim that we went into Iraq at Israeli request. Lies, lies, lies.
Gee, I thought he was on our side? Or is he doing this so is neighbor won’t sneak up and blind-side him with another attack whilst he mows his lawn?
I guess he wants to mow his lawn in peace at the expense of an entire country! Why you…..
The Pauls have always been teetering on the anti-Semitic fence… apparently Sen. Rand has decided to jump over it – to the wrong side.
Okay I think Rand Paul is wrong but this article gives no WHY he is doing this.
I commend Rand Paul for many of his conservative views, but his refusal to support Israel is disastrous. A while back, when he talked about running for president, he hinted that he would not fund the Jewish nation. His father Ron had shared similar views, and this raised a red flag.
Those who represent the United States should support it, not any foreign country.
Agree that every American should support it. But there is a word to Abraham regarding any one who does or does not support Israel:
“I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed”
(Genesis 12:2-3 NKJV)
How has the United States been blessed since 1948 when “our” government recognized the Zionist state of Israel and began to pour billions of dollars of American tax money on them every year since? Is it the hundreds of thousands dead in wars which did not benefit us in any way especially in the Middle East on behalf of the above mentioned country? The 60,000,000 million dead unborn children? The increasing rates of crime, divorce, alcohol and drug abuse and other forms of immorality, decreases in our liberty, a growing police state, spiraling unsustainable national debt, and increasing racial, religious and other hatred? Those conditions do not look like blessings to me. The only rational description of them is curses and that the modern Zionist state of Israel has nothing to do with Biblical Israel.
Abortion is keeping the human race down.
Abortion is MURDER.
People who think like YOU are major predators.
David, the Lord’s promise to Abraham may seem to be over-simplified, but if one believes the Bible as the divinely-inspired Word of God, the prophesies on Israel are as good today as they were at the time of Abraham, Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and so forth.
Also, one must factor in other conditions for being blessed (and being a blessing), such as putting God first and abstaining from sin. America, for example, has become morally bankrupt, because, as you said, it has killed 60,000,000 unborn babies — and that amount of bloodshed alone will eventually be judged.
God will also judge sin in Israel, as He has done in the past. And if He does that, how much more will He judge other nations for sin? Because He is no respecter of persons or nations.
Yet, if God made that promise to Abraham, He must consider it a big deal if someone blesses or curses Israel. God in His sovereignty chose Israel, and as a father does with his child, God will discipline those He loves.
I do not have all the answers when it seems that good things happen to the wicked, and evil things happen to the righteous. And likewise, I don’t have all the answers why the Hamas, the Hezbollah, etc. keep raining rockets and bombs on Israel. But, Ha Shem sees all things.
The day will come when God will open all the books, as people and nations will be judged according to the sinful deeds recorded in those books. And those whose names are not written in the Book of Life will be thrown into the lake of fire, and those whose names are recorded in the Lamb’s Book of Life will enter into that Holy City beyond the heavens, where there will be no more pain or sorrow, and everything will be perfect.
You don’t get it, do you ?
One of us doesn’t. See above. Do you think that we have been blessed?
We INDEED have been blessed. There is no question about it.
I hear your point, however we have benefitted in more ways
than you can imagine from the United States/Israeli, good
relationship. Israel is very, very important to the US.
Christians are Goys, gentiles and put on earth by God to serve the Jews and Islam. Get used to it or grow some balls.
Wow! You need to pick up a copy of God’s Word, the BIBLE, little fool!
Hoppla, what exactly are you talking about? Very little of what you say makes sense. Are you inferring that gentiles are inferior to Jews and muslims? My Bible tells me, “For there is no difference between Jew and Greek: The same Lord is Lord of all, and gives richly to all who call on Him” (Romans 10:12 Berean Study Bible). Can explain in plain English why you are targeting gentiles? Are you a muslim?
Weren’t the Greeks still pagans back then? Zeus, Athena, Hygeia, Mars have nothing to do w/G-d.
Agree that Greeks were still pagans back then, (but some became Christians). The term “Greeks”, as the apostle Paul used it, were pagans, heathens, gentiles, and non-Jews in general, because most of the other nations, in addition to the vernacular, knew and spoke Greek back then as a way to communicate. Paul (formerly Saul of Tarsus) was sent by G-d to minister to these. And as Romans 10:12 implies, anyone, whether Jew or Greek, needed a savior, because it was virtually impossible to keep the whole Law. So G-d in His love sent His Son Jesus into the world to save it, that those who receive in Him will have everlasting life (John 3:16).
G-d is no respecter of persons. Paul said that there is no difference between Jew and Greek, and gives richly to those who call upon G-d. Then, in verse 13, Paul quotes from Joel 2:32 that whoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved. Jews are no better than the Greeks, and Greeks are no better than the Jews, because ALL have sinned (Romans 3:9,23).
Anyway, you may not agree with me, but this I believe is what the Scriptures teach, that no one can keep the whole Law, and that everyone needs a savior who was sinless and spotless, who was crucified, buried, and raised up from the dead on the third day to make atonement for all sin.
I agree 100% Rand and his dad, Ron, are Israel haters.
God bless Rand Paul. Like his father, he is one of the most principled American statesman who adheres to his oath to defend the Constitution much better than anyone else in Congress.
No excuse for being a jewhater/racist !!!
Neither Rand Paul nor his father, Ron Paul, one of the greatest American statesmen of our time, needs an excuse. The words “racist” and “jew hater” are becoming synonyms for “patriot”.
Then you, David have zero excuse because you have displayed pure idiocy in every one of your posts! Well done USEFUL IDIOT!
And to think you only missed the Third Reich by 80 years.
i USED to respect Paul but not now and will check carefully what he does because he is unstable in my mind.and I do NOT TRUST RAND PAUL. NOW!
No, he’s just his father’s son and had modified his rhetoric only when he though he had a chance for the Presidency.
I read somewhere that most of the funding the US gives to Israel is under an agreement that Israel spend most of it back in the US by buying American military hardware and such ? Yes ? NO?
I believe that’s a yes.
That is called corporate welfare and is unconstitutional.
Both he and his Father are Jew haters.
Rand Paul is an unctuous fickle little man who would sell out his party and his president to raise his own political profile in an increasingly antisemitic world.
Sen Paul is simply his antisemitic father’s son. He claimed not to be one when he run for the Presiden’t Office but since he’s no longer running, he has no longer any need to pretend. The entire Paul family seems to suffer from the incurable, brain- eating disease of antisemitism.
The Islamic parts anyway … Once a person hears the Creator’s voice, they know He is VERY real. I hope you have that chance before you meet Him face-to-face on that Day.
I am a longtime supporter of Rand Paul, but this changes everything for me. No wonder he
hates President Trump. Many of his family members are Jewish.
Perhaps it is time for rand paul to join the demokkkrats as he is as racist as demokkkrats are !!!
Our beloved President Trump need our support more than ever now.
We must get rid of these RINOS as they are more like bobama holdovers than working for
the American people.
I like the way you spell demokkkrats. It is fitting because the KKK was the military arm of the Democratic party for many, many years, according Dinesh D’Souza’s film “Hillary’s America.” Modern Democrats have replaced the KKK with AntiFa, a group of political thugs which is so far to the left that it now bumps buttocks with the ultra-far right KKK.
Yes, we saw the movie “Hillary’s America” and “Death of a Nation” by
Dinesh D’Souza.
The nazi’s and Hitler used demokkkrats playbook in how to “handle” Jews
in Germany. Demokkkrats are still the same as they were in KKK’s heyday.
They just hide it now. They have the inner-city Blacks just where they want them, unfortunately. Blacks has suffered unjustly in so many ways due to the demokkkratic politics.
I am not Black, not Jewish, just “tells-it-like-I-sees-it”
Absolute truth.
My thoughts exactly.
The Jews nor Islam are our Masters but Jesus, Rand Paul is a Christian.
Riiiight….sure…a christian.. NOT!
He might call himself a believer, but he is not a child of the King.
Is it possible the Rene Boucher who attacked Rand Paul also did some frontal lobe damage.
And you figured that out all by yourself ??? And you call Rand Paul a hater, listen to yourself.
Judge much?!
What a difference between dad and son….sadly.
Anti-Israel = antisemitic.
God bless them both.
Allah is nothing more than a false god, those who believe it exists have been deceived by Satan himself
Wrong. Allah doesn’t exist. Rand is aligned with Satan and he DOES exist.
Allah IS Satan dummy
i’m not a dummy, I have an I.Q. of 144 … and using name calling in place of a real conversation, shows who the dummy truly is.
Neither will be blessed, both are hell-bound.
“A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds,
adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson … I think.
Perhaps Sen. Paul could stop listening to his anti-Semitic, RINO, Losertarian friends and read ‘Self-reliance’ in its entirety rather than clinging to cherries.
Sometimes RP has his head in his ass.
I don’t know if he’s looking for ink or if he’s just bored.
I am usually a supporter of Senator Paul, but this is a REALLY bad “hill to die on.” (a figure of speech) i.e. he should pick a much better issue to take a stand on rather than putting his political career on the line by using this issue. Congressman Larry McDonald (shot down in Korean Ar Lines flight 007 in 1983) worked with Israel and other anti-totalitarian countries to help strengthen them. Before the Soviet Union fell (sort of), retired Israeli military were working to organize private soldiers to go in and rescue Congressman McDonald from a Khazakstan prison (see rescue007.org run by an Israeli citizen). It fell through, but that shows what Israel thought of Larry McDonald (as opposed to Rand Paul).
Israel is an invented state, predicated on terrorism, run by terrorists, who sells weapons and intel to other terrorist states.Anyone who suggests Israel is an ally, does so with a complete disregard to history. We were attacked on 9/11 because we are the only country in the world who supports its policies of genocide, apartheid, illegal occupation, and theft.American taxpayers have given these terrorists trillions in aid because our corrupt politicians are bought and paid for by Israel and israel first billionaires. No more aid, weapons,Iron domes, vetoes at the UN.We need to join the global boycott against Israel, and demand the UN Resolutions be enforced. And most importantly no more dead or wounded US service people,on Israeli”s behalf.Let these barbarians fight they”re own wars
