“Moderate” Indonesia: Muslim clerics reject measles, rubella vaccine as “unclean”

35

More of the brilliant advances of Muslim religious-based scholars. And this doesn’t happen just in Indonesia. In Afghanistan, the Taliban go so far as to shoot polio aid workers and student volunteers dead. We also see jihad attacks on doctors, nurses, and teachers by devout Muslim groups in Nigeria and in Pakistan. Millions will die, but Allah will be pleased, and that’s all that matters. Or more precisely, millions will die, and therefore Allah will be pleased.

“Indonesian Muslim clerics reject measles, rubella vaccine as ‘unclean,’” by Jamie Seidel, News Corp Australia Network, November 12, 2018 (thanks to Tom):

Indonesia’s immunisation campaign is in crisis. In August, its Muslim leadership officially forbade the use of the measles and rubella vaccine. Its followers have taken the ruling to heart — with a dramatic drop in vaccinations.

Story continues below advertisement

The religious proclamation — a fatwa — is not legally recognised or enforceable. But the Indonesian Ulama Council’s followers are obeying.

It was an unexpected outcome — and it has an enormous impact on holidaymakers from all over the world, including Australia.

The Indonesian Department of Health had approached the council in the hope of receiving a fatwa in support of their vaccination program. After all, the equivalent Malaysian council had made it compulsory for its Muslim followers to get vaccinated in 2016.

However, the Ulama Council (MUI) instead declared the measles and rubella vaccine to be “unclean”.

It asserts the vaccines use a gelatine as a stabilising agent which is based on ‘illicit’ substances derived from pigs.

Jewish and Muslim organisations around the world have ruled this not to be a problem.

But not so Indonesia.

“The government should strive to the fullest, as well as through WHO and Muslim-populated countries, to pay attention to the interests of Muslims in terms of the need for sacred and halal medicines and vaccines,” Secretary of the MUI Fatwa Commission Asrorun Ni’am Sholeh said.

Now Indonesian health authorities face an uphill battle in eradicating large pockets of communicable diseases.

A recent campaign on the island of Java had met with a near 95 per cent coverage rate. It had targeted almost 70 million children.

But it had sought religious backing among suspicious, more isolated, communities. Many believe vaccination to be a Western conspiracy to control Asia, or a Catholic attempt to eradicate Islam.

Now they have to contend with vaccinations being declared religiously ‘illegal’.

In some districts, vaccination coverage rates have been as low as 7 per cent.

For the vaccination program to be successful, rubella needs to have had a blanket reach of more than 80 per cent of the population. Measles needs 95 per cent.

The Ulama Council admitted the lack of vaccination posed a public health risk. It also noted there was no alternatives to the measles-rubella vaccine in use.

Just like Ebola in Africa the locals have figured out that the only people who get disease are the ones that take the vaccine. Just like in U.S. with rise in autism.

Mercury in vaccines does wonders for a child with an immature immune system.
It’s playing Russian roulette. Unlike the old days the dosage is STRONGER and more POWERFUL that their immune system is forced to confront. Need I mention the sheer NUMBER of vaccines required to test their fragile immune systems within a short period of time when they are young?

Just B.S. Most of the older vaccines have proven efficacy. can’t say much for vaccines for colds, herpes, etc

But its ok for muslims to not take vaccines. Nature will help cull them out. Muslims themselves are biggest scourge on humanity that has killed more than 270 Million and counting. Nazis killed 20 million

Not including the war dead.

They are equal opportunity killers. They don’t even spare christian aid workers in America who help settle them http://bit.ly/2rr9tGh

No other immigrant groups are so ungrateful as jihadis.

What they did with vaccines is make them STRONGER and there was the mercury problem too. Part of court settlements had a gag order in place as part of receiving compensation and they got rid of the mercury in the vaccine – or so they say…………

We found out through a pet how bad vaccines have gotten. Our orange tabby was required by the state to get rabies shots. Based on his behavior we knew there was something wrong. So we took him to our vet. Through blood work he was diagnosed with cancer. At first we weren’t sure which kind and where it was so additional testing was done.

The vet that we met with was NEW at the practice. They tend to be more honest and hopefully more knowledgeable … The first thing she asked was WHERE did he get the rabies vaccine. We told her the LEG, not the SCRUFF OF THE NECK. We questioned her on why she asked that.. She admitted that the rabies vaccine was made STRONGER over the years to the OBJECTION of the veterinarians and more pets were dying of cancer so to give them a chance they started administering the rabies vaccine in the LEG rather than the neck to at least give the owner options should cancer appear. She admitted that cancer was because of the INCREASED DOSAGE OF THE GERM that was supposed to have your pet go into a hyper fire drill to stave off the disease. NJ state law REQUIRES all pets to have these shots! Bone cancer got him. Another one, Felix, renal cancer claimed him.

As a pet gets older their immune system, like humans also declines. Yet the same strong vaccines are required for all. Our pets are older and don’t go outside in the woods anymore so unless they have another problem needing a vets attention, we don’t subject them to more risk. Vets are fanatics about administering these strong vaccines and don’t have much of a choice since it is state law.

We always have an orange tabby. Our latest one was not behaving right so we took him to the vet. Sure enough there were no shots or vaccines listed in his file beyond when he was a kitten… so they required the shots BEFORE they could go ahead to diagnose what his problem could be. As it turned out his one eye is going blind and he needs various eye drops three times a day. He is such loving marshmallow! We’ll just love him more but even an indoor cat is required to have RABIES shots among other shots…It’s crazy! They are like NAZIS when it comes to vaccines. It gets awkward because they know we have a Bengal and there is NO WAY I will subject her to more risk. She used to go out but now being older also stays inside too. There is a problem with the STRENGTH of vaccines they are requiring.

They make it stronger to claim patent rights as older ones don’t have any.
This is problem mostly in USA and the corrupt politicians who get paid by pharma lobby
you can offer high dose Vit C (about 1-4 gm /day ) and sodium bicarbonate 1/4 tsp with water 3-4 times a day
It will help them by boosting immunity and safe to use

The vaccines have proven efficacy? Which ones?

The ones that prevent diseases just enough time so that people can get these at a later age with much more serious consequences, an EXPECTED outcome that is USED to justify the CAUSE of the disaster.

I’m with you. I don’t trust vaccines. Autism is a epidemic of vaccine damage. I’m with the muzz on this one.

So Autistics are “vegetables”? How wonderfully humane of you. Who are you to talk of “conscience”, if you’re so willing to see children die in job-lots rather than touch some icky vaccine?

Vaccines have nothing to do with Autism. *Autism is a genetic disease, involving a cluster of effected genes; the more of the genes a person has, the more severe the autism*. The recent so-called “rise in autism” is really a rise in accurate diagnoses. Autism used to be mistaken for childhood schizophrenia and retardation, and you might note that diagnoses for those have sunk at the same rate that diagnoses of autism have risen.

There are no genes involved in any form of mental illness, learning disability, nothing. Autism is definitely not genetic, either. I took several years to study these areas. Most public information is still 10 or more years behind research.

Genes are not involved in schizophrenia? Or any form of epilepsy? Sure. Please do not practice medicine in the United States.

There are absolutely no genes involved in schizophrenia.

Like electric shock therapy and blood letting, these psychotic assumptions about genetics being involved in mental illness will be eventually trained out of the general population. Including you.

Eventually. It would take a book to explain to you how and why it’s not genetic. Epilepsy is probably also not genetic. Again, a book…

…”probably”? And genetic anomalies have *nothing* to do with *any* mental illness? Right. Please do not practice medicine in the United States.

Well now you know why MUSLIMS are riddled with diseases and inbreeding is not a problem.
They reject science, common sense and the Bible. The Bible condemns incest, rape, homosexuality, etc..
Yet, Muslims have no problem with it and claim to at least have the Old Testament in common.
This is another reason why Muslims LIVE in the dark ages! They REJECT rational innovations that HELP people.
God gave us brains to reason and think and put it to GOOD USE not EVIL as Islam promotes. We are encouraged to reason for our faith and to do good in life.

Isaiah 1:18 (KJV)
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

This is something I agree with Muslims about.

No good comes of any vaccine and they definitely do not work. This is from a microbiology major for my first degree but my research based program broached this extensively in my post graduate work. It is most likely that the baby boomers and their parents becoming immune through infection are the only herd immunity we’ve got. They discontinued the small pox vaccine when it was found to be the number one cause of infection. Obviously a different type than the wild virus, so completely ineffective against the wild virus.

We’d have to kill every monkey on the planet to end the threat of these childhood diseases.

They will return when the baby boomers die off…

Did you ever actually study Jenner’s observations on cowpox and smallpox?

Tamara Hussey-Mecklenburg

Reply to  LeslieFish

Yes i did. It is no different than getting exposed to the wild virus.

70% of people infected by these wild viruses have no symptoms.
25% have mild to moderate flu-like symptoms, and the remaining 5% have more serious symptoms. 1% will have permanent injury or death, with only 1% of those with serious symptoms actually dying.

These viruses are not dangerous unless you have compromised immunity issues.

It never warranted giving anyone these vaccines.

There is no reason to vaccinate. There has never been clinical trials to prove they work. In fact, vaccine failure is so widespread, and these pathogens are found in sewage every year.

The problem is not the vaccines themselves but *when and how* they are given. Any veterinarian will tell you not to vaccinate your kitten or puppy before the little creature is 3 months old, lest they damage its immune system; antibodies in the mother’s milk will protect the kitten or puppy that long. Human babies are protected by their mothers’ milk for 6 months, and develop a lot slower than cats and dogs. The best way to give immunity shots to a human would be to start at 6 months old and give just one shot at a time, spaced two weeks apart, so the child’s immune system can adapt properly. Instead, we see whole clusters of shots being given to almost newborns! This is done for the convenience of the doctors rather than the well-being of the child — and *that* is a bad idea. Immunity shots themselves, I’ve noticed, will provide at least a partial immunity to even a mutated microbe — and partial immunity is better than none.

Just having the measles once as a kid did not build up enough antibodies to prevent me from contracting it again as an adult after visiting Nassau. I’m old enough that I was never offered the vaccine.

With all the troubles we have, we should try to watch over our own house, and sometimes mind our own business. The West cannot dictate to the entire world how to run their countries.
What can one do if they are shooting the polio vaccine volunteers? What can one do?
If there are any side effects, then the volunteers and the West will be blamed.
The vaccine issue is even contentious in the West. Every country must decide for themselves.
