Trump is right, mainstream media is wrong on terrorist threat from migrant caravan

What could go wrong with a raucous group of predominantly males from the most violent Latin American countries headed for our southern border? Well, drugs, gangs, crime, and a fiscal drain on our economic resources are a few reasons to fear this invasion. But there is also an extra national security concern that Middle Easterners, who are already traveling independently to our border, are mixed in with this caravan. It’s a general concern that we should take very seriously both with the caravan and the broader waves of illegal immigration.
Yesterday, Trump tweeted that “criminals and unknown Middle Easterners are mixed in” with the caravan. Clearly, Trump has been getting briefings on this issue and is paying attention.
During the waning months of the Obama administration, none other than former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson sent out a memo to law enforcement agencies with the subject line, “Cross-Border Movement of Special Interest Aliens.” According to DHS’ official definition, Special Interest Aliens (SIAs) are individuals from 35 countries that “have shown a tendency to promote, produce, or protect terrorist organizations,” aka countries from the Middle East or those in Africa and Asia with a presence of terrorist networks. The Johnson memo called for the creation of a “multi-DHS Component SIA Joint Action Group” designed to “counter the threats posed by the smuggling of SIAs” and “the increased global movement of SIAs” in order to eventually “bring down organizations involved in the smuggling of SIAs into and within the United States.” As Todd Bensman of the Center for Immigration Studies observed, the memo was “unusual in the sense that they demanded the ‘immediate attention’ of the nation’s most senior immigration and border security leaders to counter such an obscure terrorism threat.” Bensman is a former intelligence officer for Texas Department of Public Safety.
Of course, this plan never came to fruition, but the fact that someone as liberal as Jeh Johnson found a need to warn about “the increased global involvement of SIAs” should be very concerning to all of us.
Reporters who don’t bother to study issues in the long term and merely react to the mindless soap opera of the day are acting shocked at Trump’s concern about the Middle East migrants coming through the border. CNN’s Jake Tapper wants Trump to provide him with proof of such a phenomenon. To anyone who has studied Latin America, this is a long-standing concern that is always present, irrespective of whether we have a smoking gun in every particular caravan. It certainly ranks among the top reasons to deter these incursions. There is a trail of both governments and Arab diaspora communities in numerous South and Central American countries that are facilitating this smuggling network.
Here’s the current reality:
- Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales publicly said last week that he deported 100 Middle Easterners in his country, some with suspected ties to terror. Guatemala has become a hub for international migration of all sorts, including from the Middle East and south Asia, because that is the transit point from all directions into America.
- In the Laredo, Texas, border sector, a record 668 Bangladeshi nationals were caught in fiscal year 2018. Over 3,000 SIAs were apprehended in total. One can imagine how many we didn’t apprehend. Also, 9,000 Indian nationals were apprehended this year. While India is not an official SIA country, it has a massive Muslim population of 172 million with a lot of terror groups operating on the ground, particularly in the north. Men make the majority of migrants apprehended in all border sectors, but this percentage has been exceptionally high in Laredo, where 88 percent of those apprehended in FY 2017 were men. That should be a bright red flag.
- Venezuela is the single biggest country of concern when it comes to SIAs mixing with Latin American migrants. Remember, not all migrants who gather in the northern triangle of Central America originated there. There are hundreds of thousands of migrants pouring out of Venezuela, as it completely crumbles into a failed state. Not only is Venezuela Hezbollah’s main base of operations in South America, with direct ties to the country’s vice president, who is of Syrian descent, but there are hundreds of thousands of Lebanese and Syrian expatriates living there. Some 37,000 Venezuelans cross into Colombia every day, and there are signs that some of the two million refugees have already headed north. This could become our Syria.
Perhaps reporters like Tapper ought to speak with people who are actually involved in Latin American affairs. Joseph Humire, who served as an expert witness in a first-of-its-kind anti-Hezbollah trial in Peru, told me that he’d be surprised if Middle Easterners aren’t coming in with the caravan simply because they are already traveling these same routes on their own. “The #CaravanHonduras has exposed an important yet underreported issue — the presence and activity of radical Islamist terrorist movements in Central and South America,” said Humire, executive director of the Center for a Secure Free Society. “The movement of irregular migrants cannot be separated from the increase in SIAs in recent years, especially as we correlate the routes and chokepoints used by the Caravan in Guatemala and Mexico. The Aguas Calientes (Guate-Honduras) to Tecun Uman (Guate-Mexico) border crossings are a known SIA route used in the past, as recently as this past April-June when unidentified Palestinians with suspected terror ties took this same route.”
Indeed, these are the routes being taken by the current caravan. Keep in mind that the caravan is working through the Chiapas district of Mexico right near cities like San Cristobal that have populations of recent Muslim converts, a growing phenomenon in the region. None other than open-borders advocate and former Mexican President Vincente Fox accused some of them of having ties to al Qaeda. There are very strong reasons to be concerned with the caravan traveling a known SIA route and passing by such a community.
Humire’s sources in the Morales government also tell him that “at least 44 Syrians have been detained in Guatemala since 2016, all with forged or irregular documents and one with possible ties to ISIS.” Also, many other SIAs “have been moving through Guatemala with fraudulent documents from other countries in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia,” whom “local authorities believe are connected to Hezbollah.”
What about from this caravan? Humire sent me reports he’s received from Guatemalan law enforcement that Guatemala apprehended 100 individuals who were not from Honduras over the past 72 hours. On Friday, Guatemalan police claim to have apprehended seven Bangladeshis, two individuals from Sri Lanka, and one from Nepal. They are being processed for deportation. On Monday, they caught 11 Cubans and three more from Bangladesh. There have also been individuals from Angola, Congo, and Cameroon apprehended by local authorities.
Yesterday, the Daily Caller reported that a Univision reporter on the ground has confirmed the presence of Bangladeshis and that they were apprehended by Guatemalan authorities.
Could the Morales regime and his officials be exaggerating? Perhaps, but I think we ought to take Guatemalans seriously when they are warning of Middle Easterners traveling through the human smuggling routes headed north. Morales has every reason to cooperate with us now that Trump is threatening to suspend foreign aid.
Broadly speaking, it’s shocking how ignorant the elite media is about the growing threat of terrorism in Latin America at both the state level and the grassroots level. Not everything revolves around the Middle East, believe it or not.
Perhaps Tapper and his ilk should heed the words of Michael Braun, former chief of operations with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Braun sent Conservative Review the following statement regarding the president’s concern over Middle Easterners traveling along the Latin American migrant routes:
The President is justifiably concerned about Middle Eastern terrorist organizations exploiting our borders. Hezbollah and Iran’s IRGC Quds Force, which is responsible for clandestine foreign operations, to include assassinations, have significantly increased their footprint throughout Latin America and Mexico over the past decade … Hezbollah’s growing involvement in the global cocaine trade over the past decade has resulted in the formation of alliances with Colombian and Mexican drug trafficking cartels, the most sophisticated transnational organized crime syndicates law enforcement has ever faced.
Braun was responsible for oversight of all of the DEA’s foreign offices during the Bush years and has testified before Congress many times on the confluence of drug trafficking and terror networks, illicit finance, and other national security topics.
It’s important to remember that although the caravan is a big concern, there are hundreds of thousands of others crossing our border every year, quietly smuggled in by the cartels. This must be stopped as well. Thanks to our judicial amnesty, DHS incompetence, and congressional ineptitude, we have family units coming in record numbers. The Arizona Sherriff’s Association warned in a letter last week that Border Patrol “is currently using up to 40% of their available staff to monitor family units.” Congress and the courts have turned them into babysitters while MS-13, drugs, and yes, Middle Easterners, are crossing the border.
Typically the interdiction rate at the border is about 50 percent, but you have to imagine, given that the SIAs pay up to $30,000 for successful smuggling, that the border cartels, which control the entirety of the flow of movement across the border, are orchestrating the family unit crossings in a way that will ensure more of the high-value targets successfully cross un-interdicted. “The coyote is interested in one thing only — collecting his money and moving his illicit customers across that border as quickly as possible,” warned Braun. “Anyone believing for a moment that foreign terrorist organizations like Hezbollah don’t exploit situations like this simply don’t understand how the real underworld operates.”
As a man who combated human and drug trafficking in South and Central American jungles for decades, Braun would know how this world works.

Only, that $500 per adult will likely be funded by American taxpayers. For example, $500 x 8,000 adults = $40,000,000. That does not include the food and travel ticket. Some of us will have to pay for that.

Israel has developed a synthetic “skunk smell” that takes weeks to wear off. Our military needs to get a large shipment of this liquid in the next few days. As the invading horde approaches our border, have planes fly over dropping the stink on the caravan members. If any do make it across the border, just follow the smell to find them and send them back.

The Mexican El Universal news outlet is reporting that more than 14,000 Hondurans — not counting people from other countries who are marching toward the United States — are leaving that Central American nation to seek asylum here.

At Least 400K Migrants Crossed Border into U.S. this Year (2018)
U.S. Border Patrol agents apprehended nearly 400,000 migrants who illegally crossed the U.S.-Mexico border between ports of entry during Fiscal Year 2018. The number of migrants arrested represents a significant increase over the previous year’s total of 303,916.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials reported on Tuesday afternoon that 396,579 migrants were apprehended during the fiscal year that ended on September 30. Of those, Border Patrol agents apprehended 107,212 Family Unit Aliens (FMUA) and 50,036 Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC).
CBP officials previously stated that the numbers represent a “clear indicator that migration flows are responding to gaps in our nation’s legal framework.”

How far could you make it before you started hurting or had to relive yourself? How far before you developed a blister on a heel or toe? How far before you had to find food?
Now, do you think you could do that day after day and cover 1800 miles in 2 weeks? Of course you couldn’t. Well conditioned Tri Athletes couldn’t do that. How do you expect this rabble to do that?

It, really, ‘ain’t that hard’ to figure out that this invasion is being sponsored/financed by Leftist Democrats/Globalists (Socialists, Marxists and Communists) to hasten their agenda: Facilitate by force-which this ‘caravan’ just happens to be-the elimination of borders which will hasten the destruction of our sovereignty which will reduce our ranks to that of other Third World countries-as Barry promised: The ‘fundamental transformation of the United States.’

I do believe that as long as the USA is in the UN and the UN and all it’s offices and affiliates from coast to coast are in the USA…..this great nation will never fully realize it’s national sovereignty. The UN is controlled by Moscow and Mecca and is a wooden horse in America..
Today, the national security threat at home is as great as the threats overseas. I would pair an armed soldier with a policeman and declare war on all domestic threats until our streets are safe again!

Just last week (I believe it was on this site) I read an article where the top military official in our nation basically stated he didn’t understand the true motives of Islamic terrorists. Frightening!
That statement, alone, causes me to seriously doubt if he comprehends the true motives of many, if not most, who’re trying desperately to invade our country.
As for you, however, I salute you even more now than I did before.
May your tribe increase-especially now when the survival of our Republic is at far greater risk than, perhaps, any other time in our history.

How about being on Mexican soil, with their permission, about a mile in, and use tear gas to turn them around? I doubt that Mexico wants these people traipsing through their country either, plus they are the first “free” country they come to for asylum. I doubt Mexico is taking them in… and we shouldn’t either. We would also need a wall of military for further discouragement.
I find this situation to be insane. This is literally an invasion!

That memo from former Homeland Security secretary Jeh Johnson is almost a direct quote from 8 US Code Section 1182 entitled “Inadmissible Aliens”, and the very source the LSM used to blast what they termed a “muslim ban”. It is public law which the President is constitutionally charged to uphold.
Forget the caravan over a thousand miles away. The Border Patrol on its routine monitoring of the Rio Grande Monday intercepted a group of illegals containing a person wanted for murder in SC.

It is Congress who has the constitutional authority and obligation to build the wall, to enforce immigration laws (laws state legislatures have violated for years), and to activate the military to the border. It is the House of Representatives that controls ALL the taxes they steal from Americans. Not the President. It is the House that has been violating law and refusing to fund the wall. Republicans have control of the House and Senate. Only a third party can save our country. The people wont vote for third party candidates so ultimately the ruin of America falls on the shoulders of we the people.

Did your candidate bring charges against any state legislatures that are violating immigration laws by aiding and abetting illegals…how about fighting to deport illegals in your state? Trump hasn’t brought charges against one Governor or state legislature for aiding and abetting illegals. He hasn’t charged any of them with anything. He’s almost two years in and we still have sanctuary cities. Tell me, what good’s a law if people continually break it because no one is enforcing it? Trump allowed the first horde of illegals that traveled to our border, inside. He bowed to the leftists in Congress. That’s why we now have two more on the way. One of his major campaign promises was to get rid of DACA. He bowed to an activist judge who has no more constitutional power than he does. He bowed to activist judges on ending the muslim refugee hordes from the middle east, started by Obama. Today the U.S is still taking in refugees from the middle east. Islam is still filling U.S. neighborhoods. I could go on but wont.
To answer your question, after Cruz dropped out I voted for Darrel Castle of the Constitution Party.
Disgust and heartbreak over yet more Republican betrayals this year and last, led me to leave and join the Constitution Party. I now use my vote for the constitution/Bill of Rights and the brave souls who know and champion them. Everyone knows that there’s little difference between most republicans in Washington and their democrat pals. Behind the cameras they get along fine. Venezuela is entirely reliant upon massive investment from Russia and China.
China owns 49% of Venezuela’s state run PDVSA energy production. A collateral system where Beijing takes oil as payment for prior loans the Maduro regime cannot pay back. With the crippling treasury department sanctions President Trump put on Venezuela last year, Trump has punched Maduro and Xi-Jinping hard.

The invasion objective takes on a geopolitical angle directly targeting a series of U.S. policies that are against the interests of Russia and China.
It helps here to remember the strategic moves taken by President Trump that have put the geopolitical/economic squeeze on both China and Russia:
♦Squeeze #1. President Trump and Treasury Secretary Mnuchin sanctioned Venezuela and cut off their access to expanded state owned oil revenue. Venezuela needs more money. China and Russia are already leveraged to the gills in Venezuela and hold 49% of Citgo as collateral for loans outstanding. China and Russia now need to loan more, directly.
However, China cannot engage in economic commerce with Venezuela or they risk losing access to the U.S. banking system. Therefore all current Chinese aid to Maduro comes in the form of IOUs. These ongoing loans are likely impossible to be repaid.
♦Squeeze #2. China’s geopolitical ally, Russia, is already squeezed with losses in energy revenue because of President Trump’s approach toward oil, LNG and coal. Trump, through allies including Saudi Arabia, EU, France (North Africa energy), and domestic production has influenced global energy prices. Additionally, President Trump is demanding NATO countries, specifically Germany, stop supporting financial dependence on Russia.
Meanwhile, and directly connected, Russia is bleeding out financially in Syria. Iran is the financial reserve, but they too are energy price dependent and President Trump is now putting pressure on Iran vis-a-vis new sanctions and new demands on allies.
♦Squeeze #3. In 2017 Trump and Secretary Tillerson, now Secretary Pompeo, put Pakistan on notice they need to get involved in bringing their enabled tribal “extremists” (Taliban) to the table in Afghanistan. Pakistan’s primary investor and economic partner is China. The U.S. removed $900 million in financial support to pressure Pakistan toward a political solution in Afghanistan, China has to fill void. [NOTE: Last month the World Bank began discussions about a financial bailout for Pakistan.] Again, more one-way bleed for China.
♦Squeeze #4. China’s primary economic threat (competition) is next door in India. President Trump has embraced India as leverage over China in trade and pledged ongoing favorable trade deals. The key play is MFN (Most Favored Nation) trade status might flip from China to India. That’s a big play. It would have massive ramifications.
♦Squeeze #5. President Trump launched a USTR Section 301 Trade Investigation into China’s theft of intellectual property. This encompasses every U.S. entity that does manufacturing business with China, particularly aeronautics and technology, and also reaches into the financial services sector.
In March of 2018 U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer completed a section 301 review of China’s trade practices. [SEE HERE] Section 301 of the U.S. Trade Act of 1974 authorizes the President to take all appropriate action, including retaliation, to obtain the removal of any act, policy, or practice of a foreign government that violates an international trade agreement or is unjustified, unreasonable, or discriminatory, and that burdens or restricts U.S. commerce. However, as talks with China progressed, President Trump shelved the 301 action to see where negotiations would end-up. The May and June, 2018, negotiations between the U.S. and China provided no progress. The 301 review of China was pulled back off the shelf, and President Trump assembles his trade-war strategy. The 301 tariffs/sanctions are currently being worked out with U.S.T.R Robert Lighthizer.
♦Squeeze #6. President Trump, Secretary Ross, Secretary Mnuchin and USTR Robert Lighthizer dissolved NAFTA in favor of the USMCA. One of the primary objectives of team U.S.A. was to close the 3rd party loopholes, including dumping and origination, that China uses to gain backdoor access to the U.S. market and avoid trade/tariff restrictions. [China is a Non-Market Country without a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and sends parts to Mexico and Canada for assembly and then back-door entry into the U.S. via NAFTA.]
As we see in the details within the U.S-MCA trade agreement, China’s ability to use Mexico and Canada as a backdoor into the United States is now gone.
♦Squeeze #7. President Trump has been open, visible and vocal about his intention to shift to bilateral trade renegotiation with China and Southeast Asia immediately after Team U.S.A. concluded with NAFTA. [Current discussions with Japan are ongoing]
♦Squeeze #8. President Trump positioned the U.S. relationship with the E.U. as a massive potential loss for Europe (via Steel, Aluminum, and Auto tariffs) if they did not: (A) shift their trade relationship toward greater reciprocity; and (B) reconsider the size of their trade relationship with China. After initially trying to push-back, Europe acquiesced.
♦Squeeze #9. President Trump has positioned ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) as trade benefactors for assistance with North Korea. Last year the KORUS (South Korea and U.S.) trade deal was renegotiated, and announced in March. The relationship between ASEAN nations and the Trump administration is very strong, and getting stronger. Which leads to…
♦Squeeze #10. President Trump has formed an economic and national security alliance with Shinzo Abe of Japan. It is not accidental that North Korea’s Kim Jong-un fired his last missile over the Northern part of Japan. Quite simply, Beijing told him to. However…
♦Squeeze #11. President Trump cut-off the duplicitous Beijing influence over North Korea by engaging directly with Kim Jong-un. The open exchange and ongoing dialogue has removed much of the ability of Beijing to leverage the DPRK nuclear threat for their own economic benefit. This dialogue was as much, if not more, about dismantling the Beijing geopolitical influence as it was about denuclearizing the Korean peninsula; however, no-one caught on to that part of the strategy.
SUMMARY: It makes sense from the perspective of China, Russia and Venezuela to use their alliance to create a border crisis between the United States and Mexico, especially since the interests of President-elect Lopez Obrador and President Trump are now aligned within the U.S-MCA trade agreement; which is structured to the detriment of pre-existing Chinese investment in Mexico under their prior -and corrupt- Mexican leadership.

SECOND migrant caravan gathering in Guatemala, report says

A SECOND migrant caravan is forming at the Honduran border and is expected to follow the larger caravan of more than 7,000 from Central America towards the U.S.-Mexico border, The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday.
Guatemalan authorities on Sunday estimated the new group — which gathered in a Guatemalan city near the border of Honduras — to be at 1,000. But the group appears to be growing. The Journal, citing estimates from church-run charities and activists, reported that the group is now made up of about 2,500.
The new caravan reportedly plans to follow in the footsteps of the larger group, who passed through the southern Mexico border over the weekend.

That Democrats support such an invasion is not exactly a surprise, given how they also have been gung-ho about putting men into women’s bathrooms. But it figures. Those that believe that a nation has no right to defend its borders, it will also follow that they think a woman has no right to her boundaries or privacy or safe space in particular situations.

I just read article from Military Times saying The Border patrol thinks the National Guard is a waste of time coming to border. And said they could only observe and report but could not do anything else. What is really going on? Could our military allow this invasion?

By declaring it a national emergency, the military is more appropriate for this literal invasion and gets around the National Guard state objections. Our MILITARY is the way to go. I would suspect Mexico is happy with the US MCA trade deal and will allow our military on part of THEIR soil to keep them off ours. They don’t want this crap either. Mexico is the FIRST FREE COUNTRY where they can apply for asylum… NOT THE US. Of course they want to come here over Mexico. We can’t have them here. There is now a SECOND CARAVAN forming!

From hard experience after university joining and reporting for a major newspaper, I can attest to the fact that most reporters while regarding themselves enormously informed, develop very superficial knowledge of matters upon which they are reporting – and then afterwards regard themselves an authority. As to CNN’s Jake Tapper demanding proof, just tell Tapper to get stuffed and shut up. He doesn’t care about facts unless it supports his liberal position.

For those uncomplicated souls who find the attitude of the American MSM hard to understand, this might help.
Start by regarding them as mouth pieces of and for the UN, remember the UN have stated that “migration is a human right” and that’s a banner all fruit loops and progressive snowflakes can rally around. Remember who the MSM have been attacking these last two years, any stick they can use to bash Trump they’re going to pick up.
To enshrine a permanent left wing majority in the western countries targeted for this third world “enrichment”, the UN expect all such illegal economic migrants to go straight on the electoral register, only a fool thinks they’re going to vote against the hands which feed them – other peoples money.
All this activity at the borders is designed to put pressure on countries to destroy their own borders by their own hands in order to avoid the charge of being run by “white racists”. The ensuing disorder, impoverishment and rampant sexual violence against the host western societies would of course need a “One World Government” to “sort out” i.e. the UN.
When that happens it’s game over for us, the savages will be burning our cities down around our ears in the name of “equality”. The left will not prevent all this because they planned it, remember that when they cry crocodile tears over some future atrocity.
