Pamela Geller: “Trump is the greatest American president of my lifetime”

108

Pamela Geller shared her thoughts with us during a long interview that we divided into several parts. This is our conversation on President Trump.

JP Grumberg : Two or three years ago, Donald Trump was not very nice to you. What happened?

Donald Trump, after the cartoon art exhibit, did publicly denounce me, condemn me, he said that I was a terrible messenger, he said that I was taunting Muslims, and honestly, that was in May 2015.

And he was wrong.

Story continues below advertisement

But he is a very quick study, and I really believe that if it happened today, he wouldn’t take the same position. And as Donald Trump is a very quick study, I think he has exceeded our wildest expectations.

I am not stoned, I am a thinking, constantly thinking human being and if his policies weren’t consistent with his position, I would be denouncing him. But he is a very quick study and as President, as I said, he has exceeded our expectations.

• Domestically, tax reform, fighting the socialism of Obamacare.

• Internationally, taking on the EU, taking on Iran, taking on Putin, taking on the Paris Climate Accord.

• And a friend of Israel!

No one – and I was originally a Ted Cruz supporter – no one would have taken that embassy to Israel.  What a great righteous gentile! I mean, he doesn’t just talks to talk, he works the work.

I’m a huge Trump’s supporter, I believe that Trump is the greatest American president of my lifetime, maybe ever.

And what he has to do, he is this alone man, this “man in the arena”, he has had to take on everyone. Alone. He’s been betrayed in many instances by his own people and you know what? He just moves forward. He just keeps on. He’s a giant.

Consider this:

He is attacked daily. I shouldn’t even sat daily – Hourly. If you sign on to AOL [news] or any of the [news] websites in America, the headlines are always anti-Trump. Wildly, rabidly -and I mean rabid as a rabid dog – anti-Trump. And he takes them on.

It’s my understanding that Twitter has shadow-banned him, and now, you know what? That caused fighting on more than you can chow. Maybe now, my lawsuit [for the First Amendment], and those of us like Jim Hoft from The Gatteway Pundit that have suffered enormously in this free speech war, we will finally be heard.

I understand that there are now hearings and maybe action will be taken. But I assure you, even in your country, even in the country you are reading from, [you have to] fight for the Freedom of speech, because you will win, because no-one has better ideas than you.

And I assure you, if you can fight this fight and win the war for Freedom of Speech, we will win without bloodshed.

That is why they must silence us: because we will win.

The reason I disliked and was against Trump, up to the primary, was what he’d said about Pam re: Garland. What he’d said was cowardly, inexplicable in that he portrayed himself as also righteous, etc.. He could’ve just as easily and simply, and correctly, defended her, especially under the circumstances. He went on with his goofiness against Cruz. Point is, I also like much of what’s been accomplished, but I won’t hitch a ride on this scorpion.

I think those not being as informed on Islam would naturally wince at that. To ridicule one’s religion, isn’t something any of us should really want to do so I understand his reaction. Trump had no reason to defend PH at that time. She was not relevant to the issues. Cruz is a total scumbag and still is but Texas needs to vote him in again. We LOVE our President Trump!

I decided to vote for Trump the night he declared. I also concluded he would win the nomination and the election. Never wavered or doubted. It takes more than the best ideas to win an election. You have to have the personality and the extra something. I saw Trump had the extra in abundance and Cruz lacked it. Pamela has that extra something, too.

I have that same personality…..that’s why I recognized him as a kindred spirit and supported him. When he called for volunteer poll watchers I immediately jumped through the party and county hoops to get certified. I was at the polls every day except Sundays for 3 weeks…..
That was an amazing experience for me at 69 years of age…I had never worked for an election process in my life. It made me feel part of America and President Trump’s victory….plus, I knew that process in that county had been clean of illegal votes….right down to the counting.

I’m a huge Trump’s supporter, I believe that Trump is the greatest American president of my lifetime, maybe ever.

And I think the guy is a jerk who couldn’t shine Ronald Reagan’s shoes. FWIW, RR also did pretty much what he said he would do as president. But Trump has:

1. alienated traditional allies through bellicose public posturing;

2. cozied up to a murderous dictator (e.g. Kim) while, so far, getting nothing tangible in return (the Kim summit was very premature);

3. thrown a monkey wrench into international trade that is a classic example of dirigiste government policies aimed at favoring certain industries and businesses at the expense of others (although I am glad he has held China’s feet to the fire, I question whether or not tariffs are the way to do it);

4. extended an expensive and largely useless ethanol subisdy to benefit farmers;

5. ignorantly defied the weight of scientific evidence by quesiioning the anthropogenic origins of climage change and even thwarting international efforts to address this looming threat to the biosphere of the only planet that we know supports life;

6. run a very disorganized administration that has required bringing in responsible adult supervision from the likes of General Kelley to salvage the situation;

7. through his lack of tact, he has alienated many people in his own political party whose support he needs: that may yet come back to haunt him;

8. sullied the image of the Oval Office through mudslinging (e.g. POTUS simply should not refer to political opponents as “dogs);

9. erred (lied?) innumerable times in his declarations, contributing to the fake news he so deplores;

These indictments not withstanding, I do not regret my vote for him in 2016, but only regret that the major parties could not come up with more sutable candidates for POTUS. That, I am distressed to say, is a sad reflection on the American electorate.

Finally, I agree with Pamela about some of his achievements in office- I think it was harry Truman who said something to the effect that a good man does not necessarily make a good president. But I worry about the durability of some of these achievements (e.g. the next president could easily move the US embassy back to Tel Aviv).

Trump “alienated traditional allies?” Because he held them to account, like no other President has. You think Obama was so much better, by befriending the muslim leaders of Iran?
Climate change/global warming is a lie and Trump knows it and has said so. Because people like you watch a movie made by an ex-vice president who has an agenda, that’s supposed to be regarded as gospel? Please. If you did any research and looked at it objectively, you’d see that the climate change argument is ridiculous, falls apart with the slightest scrutiny and has absolutely no merit.

And don’t worry. The next President, or any other, will not move the U.S. embassy back to Tel Aviv.

What an absurd criticism of Trump, and frankly I don’t believe you actually voted for him based on your disdain. Trump has delivered on his promises, says what he means even if that ruffles the status quo, has unified the Republican party as no one else has in my memory, even Reagan was dismissed as incompetent while he was in office.
PS, Furthermore, I doubt you are even an American. The US embassy was moved because of an act of Congress and merely delayed by previous presidents. Another president could not unilaterally move the US embassy back to Tel Aviv, ever.

RCCA
RCCA

I think many commenters have done a great job refuting your comments already. But here goes:
1. Allies’ hurt feelings because Trump insisted on them paying their fair share for NATO and reciprocal trade deals? And we’re supposed to worry about that because just in case they won’t come to our defense? We’re the ones who are defending them. And of course we will. So moot point.
2. By agreeing to a talk with Kim the US gave up nothing, North Korea has returned remains of US soldiers, has stopped dangerous missile testing and threats to Japan, and also improved relations between North Korea and South Korea. Threat of nuclear war in Korean peninsula essentially nullified. Boy did you completely miss the boat on this criticism.
3. This criticism has no factual information to refute. Like the use of the word ” dirigiste ” clearly an error if you wanted us to believe you are an American, and what is the reference to dirigiste economics without naming any specific industries. IOW, you are promoting a globalist mentality, which Trump opposes. Ridiculous.
4. At this point I’m guessing you are a French Canadian, because US farmers are very happy with the ethanol decision.
5. Spoken like a true liberal and someone who has never listened to Trump on climate change. What he’s said is that we really don’t know exactly what is the cause of the climate change, a lot of the scientific community is politically motivated and their theories are not actually verifiable. Worse yet, the Paris Accord did nothing to curb the output of the worst polluter, China, while handicapping the US economy and forcing the US to spend billions, maybe trillions on other nations. He said, no way. I suggest you do some research on what countries are the worst polluters and their plans to increase their pollution while the US pollution continues to decline.
6. 7. 8. 9. All complete nonsense. Every administration experiences chaos in the early stages. Too bad you don’t like Trump because he is President whether you find him uncouth or not.
Finally, I find your comment and your follow up comment kind of absurd but intriguing because I can’t help wonder what your angle is. Whatever it is you are a phony and a fake, a waste of my time, to put it mildly.

Yeah, that wonderful christian, making America Great Again. While Americans die, and thousands of our men, are dying overseas, while we let thousands of the SAME kind of people, into our borders. 30,000 of them, just this year. Ask Pamela if this number of “them”, is true. She recently wrote an article, saying that. But forget THAT number:
NYTimes says in THIS article, that there are 11 million “immigrants” here in this country. I have more news sources, that say that too, but I have to ask you, how do you feel about THIS:

Trump Appears to Endorse Path to Citizenship for Millions of Immigrants

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/09/us/politics/trump-daca-immigration.html

Ok, well then, I guess you didn’t mind him, hosting another “god’s” religion, I mean, a Ramadan dinner in the White House, this year then. What a great christian we have!
Maybe you should let your government know, that you’ll take in a few of those “refugees”, and house and feed them! Their always looking for somewhere in America to place them. You should find out how many Americans, have died from “their” hands, if you do though!

I was also rooting for Cruz also because he was intensely opposed to Islam and strongly for Israel from the get-go and Trump stole some of his platform to win.

Nonetheless Trump has proven to be a great leader overall. I’m not sure Cruz could’ve handled all the scandals and attacks thrown his way the way Trump has. I’m also glad as Pam said that he’s a quick study and learned about this evil threat of Islam the West faces.

And honestly compared to Hillary, who was a willing stooge of the Muslims/Arabs, Trump is a million times better and took the US down the right path. Now we just need either Trump or a future president to get even tougher on our Islamic and Communist enemies.

I agree with everything said about Trump’s greatness as a president. He delivers on his promises, non stop. However I honestly don’t believe he would have any different opinion today about the Garland event. I’m sure at this point (John Bolton is on board) Trump is well aware of the jihad doctrine and the threats of Islam and he still does not engage in antagonizing Muslims over their religious beliefs.

I appreciate Geller’s principled position on that event nonetheless.

You made an excellent point about Trump not wishing to diss Muslim (leaders) unnecessarily. When he held that Iftar dinner earlier this year, his only Muslim guests were diplomats from Muslim-majority countries; and when all the misguided conservatives whined that it only proved that he was kowtowing to the muzzies, remember, he never invited a single American muzzie who was also connected to the Muslim Brotherhood (like his predecessor Obozo did!); but this was a chance to have a special “reception,” as it were (and without alcohol, either!), for the diplomats, most of whom are not super radical muzzie terrorists! I think it was a very cool move, but the more conventional even among folks on “our” side of the political fence couldn’t abide the fact that he had a special White House dinner for those diplomats!

He’s not a wonderful ‘Christian’ and never has claimed that he is. Yes, his Iftar dinner was poor judgment, but unlike Obama he didn’t lie that Thomas Jefferson had held an ‘Iftar dinner’, didn’t bow to the Muslim Saudi king and kiss the ring on the king’s finger.

On the other hand Obama denied that he is a Muslim and then did pretty much everything that confirmed he is. His 2009 speeches to Turkey’s parliament and then to the Muslim world from Cairo are loaded with lies, re-written and fabricated history, and largely fantasy that only a first rate liar would dream up and liberals would believe.

You don’t remember either…when Trump said those cruel words about her? She and you don’t remember. It’s no wonder though, it was a long time ago. I saved the article, but will have to wait till I get to my other computer, that it’s on…ask me, if you want to see it.

I do remember. He was wrong. Pamela realizes that Trump is still learning. That is why I wrote that Pamela is very gracious.
President Trump did keep his promise to move the embassy to Jerusalem, a promise every other president has broken.
I believe that President Trump is working for America, unlike that last president who tried to destroy it and I would also love to see him mature enough to extend his hand to Pamela and apoligize.

I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY POLITICIAN WORK AS HARD AS PRESIDENT TRUMP HAS TO MAKE THE THINGS HE PROMISED TO DO HAPPEN!!! NEVER!!! He has been ridiculed for his Twitter use but it is an excellent way of bypassing the twisted ‘DC information highway’ and going straight to the people who elected him. PRESIDENT TRUMP IS NOT ONLY THE GREATEST PRESIDENT WE’VE EVER HAD, HE ALSO HAS THE BIGGEST SET OF BALLS!!!

Pamela, I am 71 and though I thought the world of Reagan….President Trump is the most amazing President of my life….I would follow him into battle any day in the week.
And, I believe he may have been attacking you back then because you were supporting Ted Cruz…..that may explain a lot. I supported Trump from the day he came down that escalator……( and I never watched his reality show).
I knew he meant what he said about how upset he was when he looked at the condition of America and her people and that he wanted to fix it. I knew in my heart that he meant it.

They are coming around to the President. Just look at Lindsey, Nicki Haley and others. They are figuring out the Trump Doctrine and this fighting back thing against pure idiocy doesn’t hold the ramification it once did. It is transformational, even with the media 95% against you. All because of Trump.

There was a time my choice would be Reagan. Now, however, witnessing the treachery, betrayal that President Trump has continuously faced within his Party but more so, from the Democrats’ Progressive/Fascist/Islamist Party, every Leftist/Fascist faction and the Fifth Column MSM, I, too, place Trump at the apex of Presidents within my lifetime.
No President has endured such ridicule, fake-news, and out and out treason, the list is too fathomless to complete, but you get my drift.

Sedition is synonymous with the Democrats and those aligned with its body politic. Islam is but one of the Enemies of the State; it is the copious leftist scourge, the aspirant Bolsheviks and comrades, and indeed Liberal Fascists in want of an autocracy. If it were not for President Trump’s tenaciousness and audaciousness, the Leftist Loonies dream for a totalitarian state would be a reality. Thank you, President Trump; however, the Civil War carries on.

Yes and so many hundreds of thousands if not millions of polite and scared Canadians
Hope for Trump, Trust Trump, it is the last best hope for our doomed country
Can you imagine what a joke our sad state is in, a Somalian born immigration minister and a radical extremist costume wearing Sikh as our Defence minister…. a bumbling
Sway backed ego maniac who hands out candies to press, literally, while destroying
Canada’s economy
Trump will be mountains above all presidents historically
After his second term, hopefully he can change your legislation and run again
I’ll retire to the USA

Wow, the man that said some mean cruel things about you, at the beginning of his presidency. Let me get over to my other computer today, and I’ll show you the article. Miss Geller, have you forgotten??
Or was I not told that he’s apologized profusely over that, and all’s forgiven? I will hold on to this article, and will show the article…later. Unless I’m told that you two, patched things up….
And wow, he moved the embassy to Israel, and what? He’s against socialism. And what else? Hmm, nice news about the embassy and all…but those are the few things, that your support is love is based on? Wait till satan shows his miracles (if you live during the Tribulation), you’ll really be blown over!
I’ll be back…

Trump Blames Geller for Being Attacked by Jihadis: ‘What is She Doing Drawing Muhammad?”

With all the hundreds of articles that, you, Pamela have posted on this site, of one, recently being that he’s brought over 30,000 “immigrants”, this year, and the many articles about how islam is increasing in our schools, to our young children, all across this country (hear from Trump about THAT?), and how the muslims, have taken over local, city, and state government offices, and etc etc…..that you wouldn’t write a whole article, or that you wouldn’t do “about face”, on how wonderful and great he is!!
He made his first overseas visit as a president, to a muslim country, he hosted a Ramadan dinner in the White House (a supposed “christian”, would NOT celebrate another “god’s” religion), and so much MORE!
Just because he’s moved the embassy to Jerusalem, isn’t a good enough reason to heap love and praise on him! (Although it was good move, and I’m glad he did it).
What would you think the Americans who died, (because of these thousands of “immigrants”, that Trump is bringing in), would say to you? And please tell me, how many more Americans have to die, before something is done??
I guess maybe someone was paid off or something, to write an article, that someone should know better, than to write.

Amazing how many so-called Christians – even here at Geller Report – judge Trump according to ‘Perfection’ rather than according to ACTIONS and RESULTS.

Trump has busted his assets – both literally and figuratively – to Make America Great Again.

And all the Never Trumpers can do is whine about it.

Newsflash – you have to work with the world you have and manage with the people you have got – you do NOT get to wave a magic wand and live in faerie land unless you’re a queer in California.

A little Scripture … for the holier than Trump …

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.” Matt 7:1-6 NIV

A very interesting perspective, Pamela. Yes, I’m so glad America got Donald instead of Hillary, but I do wish he’d allow you, Robert Spencer and Jay Smith the opportunity to provide him with a clear perspective of Islam and dispel myths regarding that vile ideology. He needs to clearly understand that just because Erdogan and Turkey have of late been useful over the Jamal Khashoggi case, Turkey is no friend of America and no friend of democracy and freedom. He needs to be reminded that Erdogan has imprisoned hundreds of journalist, had military personnel executed and persecuted Christians, Jazidis and Kurds.
