President of “Palestinian” Authority Thanks J Street for Lobbying Efforts

This is no surprise. J Street is funded by hard-left antisemites such as George Soros and Muslims who are hostile to Israel. J Street’s tax returns and J-Street-PAC’s Federal Election Commission filings show that J-StreetPAC received enormous funding from dozens of Arab and Muslim contributors, many with ties to Arab-American organizations and pro-Iranian advocacy groups that are hostile to Israel. J Street has also defended woman-beater Rep. Hakim Muhammad (aka Keith Ellison), despite his associations with the fervent anti-Semite and Holocaust minimizer Louis Farrakhan. J-Street has also embraced Bernie Sanders, despite his anti-Semitism and hatred of Israel.

“President of Palestinian Authority Thanks J Street for Lobbying Efforts,” by Aryssa Damron, Washington Free Beacon, October 19, 2018:

Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority, met with leaders of the liberal advocacy group J Street, and thanked them for their lobbying efforts, citing his “appreciation for their efforts to support the peace process within American society.”

Abbas praised J Street for their involvement in garnering congressional support for a letter sent to the White House, the Times of Israel reported. One hundred and twelve Democrats in the House of Representatives and 34 senators signed a letter sent to the White House calling to reverse the decision  “end vital United States contributions to the United National Relief [and] Works Agency (UNRWA).”

In August, the Trump administration announced they would be cutting more than $300 million in aid to the UNRWA, which has supported Palestinian refugees. The State Department said that the United States “will no longer commit further funding to this irredeemably flawed operation.”

In their statement about withdrawing aid, the State Department criticized the fact that the United States contributed over 30 percent of the agency’s funds, saying, “We made it clear that the United States was no longer willing to shoulder the very disproportionate share of the burden of UNRWA’s costs that we had assumed for many years.”

Following this announcement, a spokesman for Abbas said, “The consecutive American decisions represent a flagrant assault against the Palestinian people and a defiance of U.N. resolutions. Such a punishment will not succeed to change the fact that the United States no longer has a role in the region and that it is not a part of the solution.”…

The Truth Must be Told

Your contribution supports independent journalism

Please take a moment to consider this. Now, more than ever, people are reading Geller Report for news they won't get anywhere else. But advertising revenues have all but disappeared. Google Adsense is the online advertising monopoly and they have banned us. Social media giants like Facebook and Twitter have blocked and shadow-banned our accounts. But we won't put up a paywall. Because never has the free world needed independent journalism more.

Everyone who reads our reporting knows the Geller Report covers the news the media won't. We cannot do our ground-breaking report without your support. We must continue to report on the global jihad and the left's war on freedom. Our readers’ contributions make that possible.

Geller Report's independent, investigative journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our work is critical in the fight for freedom and because it is your fight, too.
