The Islamic Republic of Iran is soon to complete its fourth decade, and legacy of the Revolution it was founded upon continues to have profound and contradictory consequences for Iranians. The mullahs have ruled over the defenseless Persian people with iron fists and absolute power. As a result, millions of Iranians have been forced to flee their home to the four corners of the globe.
Khomeini was an arch-criminal. It is unthinkable that an ancient nation — Iran — with a distinguished history, allowed a high-order demagogue, Ayatollah Khomeini, to rally the people against the Shah with promises of the rule of the people and justice for all. Long-suffering Iranians of all strata readily surrendered their liberty to the turbaned bigot and his gang of murdering sycophants.
In Iran, people who were given to wishful thinking saw the “holy man of Allah” as an answered prayer. Fanatic Shiite Muslims perceived him as the one who would revive the flagging fortunes of the faith of Muhammad and pave the way for the much-anticipated advent of the Saheb-ul-Zaman (the Lord of the Age). Religious and ethnic minorities dreamed of a time when unscrupulous power brokers would no longer victimize them.

Khomeini promised Iranians heaven, but he created hell on earth, turning Iran into a bastion of Islamic sharia-observance and terrorism. Ever since, tens of thousands of political activists have been killed or imprisoned. Tens of thousands of opposition groups, women, ethnic and religious minorities, have been subjected to inhumane treatment and tens of thousands of political prisoners are spending their precious lives in the medieval, barbaric Islamic Republic’s dungeons.
Since 1979, this illegitimate government has been waging a brutal war against the entire population of Iran, which has been fighting for individual and religious freedom. Despite tens of thousands of political executions, other brutal practices, and years of a reign of terror, the mullahs have not succeeded in uprooting the nationwide movement for democracy in Iran.
Gullibility was not limited to Iranians who swelled the ranks of this fraud. On the other side of the world, the President of the United States of America — Jimmy Carter — saw Khomeini as a saint and a savior. Carter provided crucial support to Khomeini, the man whose greatest claim to the rank of the Grand Ayatollah was his lengthy dissertation on matters concerning sexual intercourse with animals.
In 1979, upon returning from his long exile, Ayatollah Khomeini set the stage to gain absolute power via primitive Islamic rules, and employed hundreds of thousands of zealous Islamic Revolutionary Guards and militia police against opposition elements within the country. The machinery of coercion went to work against the Iranian people, who had been unaware of the plot of one of the greatest terrorist-minded individuals of the twentieth century, the Ayatollah Khomeini. The year 1979 was the beginning of the rejuvenation of the evil empire of Islam.
The propaganda apparatus of the newly emerged empire of evil went to work. They began with their Cultural Revolution. Numerous political figures, clerics and academics were involved in the cultural revolution between 1980 and 1983. They expelled some 700 University professors from Iran’s academic institutions in a short time. The universities were finally closed in June 1980, and the purification process began.
The execution of thousands of prisoners of conscience by the direct order of the founder of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Khomeini, reached its height in the summer of 1988.
Before long, Khomeini and his gangs capitalized on the frustrations of the masses, promising them everything under the sun while simultaneously murdering thousands of Iran’s best children who opposed them and their system of rule. I was fortunate enough to leave Iran, continuing my education abroad and carrying on with my battle against the Islamic Republic of Iran’s murderous rulers.
No sooner had this fraud of Allah ascended to power than Iranians of all strata began to pay the price — tens of thousands with their lives — for the folly of letting the three-in-one Ayatollah make decisions for them.
For over four decades, the Iranian people have been paying for the tragedy that has befallen them. And that’s not where it ends. Khomeinism is the fire that is spreading beyond the borders of Iran.

The police have militarized themselves because they’re afraid. They ( not all) have abused their power for decades and more. John Whitehead has the low down on police in “Battlefield America”
when they “stand down” like in Berkely and others -I lost my faith, soon I may lose my respect because they are more concerned about their jobs than their oath
As for Iran, Trump is dealing the cards, and the Iranian people must rise up and take back their country.
Do the numbers: how many people vs how many guards? They can be defeated; because they have families too.

It’s not the rank and file refusing to bust up Antifa, it’s the political brass. I guarantee line staff is very frustrated about this. As to corruption; nobody is harder on corrupt LEOs than other LEOs. I’ve helped send some packing. The problem is that, by law, departments are very limited about punishment information they can release. Y’all will normally only hear one has resigned and occasionally fired. I personally know of three sent to prison…

It can’t as long as police chiefs are appointed by city politicians. At least with a sheriff he can be voted out of office. Even then the sheriff tends to be a political animal too. Nothing short of national revival will change the reality that our nation is in decline…

As for Iran, Trump is dealing the cards, and the Iranian people must rise up and take back their country.
The history of popular uprisings against despotic regimes with the full repressive powers of a modern state is not a happy one. I think it safe to say they rarely succeed. Such changes occur from the top- Soviet Union, China, Czechoslovakia are examples that immediately come to mind. My sense is the people of Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary were just gritting their teeth for over a generation until leadership changes made it possible for the popular will to prevail.
Accordingly, when the time is right, perhaps a well directed elimination of the top leadership of a “tinhorn dictatorship” (thank you, RR) would allow a better government to emerge in Iran. Unfortunately, I have no great confidence that it would be more friendly toward the US or less opposed to our interests- but it could be no worse.

In 1979 Khomeini was aided and abetted by the President of the United States, Jimmie Carter and his malevolent (to freedom) administration, who stood aside and disavowed any attempt to aid the Shah and Iranians as the thugs took over.
The American snooze media was behind Carter every step of the way.
What does one expect from a flaming internationalist hack we voted for? Kisses on the cheek from an ayatollah?

True, and the complicit American media stood silently, shoulder to shoulder with President Obama, as Iranians begged for vocal recognition and support in their struggle to overthrow the Ayatollah Khomeini and Mahmoud Ahmadenijad after the Bush Administration had liberated Iraq and the Freedom and Liberation of Iranians finally seemed a real possibility.

I still remember living in Iran in the mid 70’s. You have no idea what ignorant, ragged, stupid frauds the ‘mullahs’ were. They were a joke and notoriously greedy and famous pederasts. Their humorless literal minded ‘preaching’ was an embarrassment.

There is a very simple solution but alas, not many people have the courage to do it.
Block all Islamic immigration and repatriate all of them. Never trade, communicate, nor interact with any of those people. It’s pointless. They’re too far gone.

Actually, sadly, our European and Jewish ancestors did the same kind of breeding for centuries themselves and DID NOT have these issues because close breeding does not do what you say. That’s a total wives tale. There are NO GENETIC CAUSES for these issues. It’s 100% their religion.

When Ayatollah Khomeini took over in Iran in 1979 he had a favorite disciple, who he trained to take over when he died. His favorite disciple is known today as Ayatollah Ali Khamenie. So his legacy in the Islamic Republic of Iran is still continuing. The people of Iran would have to over throw this Mullahcracy for there to be any significant change.

I don’t like to use comparisons between ideologies and religions but today is an exception. Jesus the son of GOD demonstrated as written in the new testament how to behave on earth. When people pray to Jesus especially at christmas, they are praying to a kind, thoughtfull person.
Then we have the devil worshipers, who pray to a mass murdering, slave trading, people trafficing, mysoginistic, paedophile, rapist. I think this would be a fair comparison of good and evil. Have the dumb nuts in the UK government got it yet. With of course the exception of Lord Pearson of Rannoch, who is more than aware of the situation and says it how it is.

The Iranian Revolution of 1979 and the rise of Ayatollah Khomeini is an important watershed in the revitalization of the Islamic conflict with the West, but it is not the most-important one, even in the 20th century alone.
Sunni Islam is the most-dominant sect within Islam worldwide and Sunnis far-outnumber Shi’ites. In 1928, a then-obscure Egyptian school-teacher named Hassan al-Banna founded the Society of the Muslim Brothers, now more-commonly known as the Muslim Brotherhood or simply the Ihkwan. From those obscure beginnings, the Muslim Brothers have become the most-influential pan-Islamic organization on earth, and the ideological fountainhead for virtually every Islamic jihad and terrorist group in existence.
Coming so soon after the downfall of the ailing Ottoman empire and caliphate, the Ikhwan are the real revival not just of the Sunni sect, but for all of Islam.
The founding of PLO-Fatah in 1959 by Egyptian Yasser Arafat and a number of fellow Arabs, marks another key inflection point, again in 1965, when the PLO began carrying out attacks against targets in the Middle East and later against the West in general – bombings, hijackings, mass shootings, and other acts of terrorism and guerilla warfare.
An era which came to a bloody climax at the Munich Olympics in 1972.
