Leah Sharibu Kept as Slave, Aid Worker Killed as ‘Apostate,’ Report Says Boko Haram’s Islamic law allows ‘infidels’ to be enslaved, group says.

By the Editor, October 16, 2018 (Morning Star News) – Islamic extremist group Boko Haram has killed an aid worker as an “apostate” from Islam and vowed to keep kidnapped high school girl Leah Sharibu as a “slave for life,” Nigerian news outlet The Cable reported.

Leah, kidnapped along with more than 100 schoolgirls from Dapchi, Yobe state in February but not released with the others because she refused to convert to Islam, will never be freed because Boko Haram’s Islamic law allows “infidels” to be kept as slaves, according to a statement by the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), commonly known as Boko Haram, released through The Cable.

Alice Ngaddah, a Christian who works with UNICEF, will also be kept as a slave, according to the statement. Leah and Ngaddah, a mother of two, “are now our slaves,” the Boko Haram group said.

“Based on our doctrines, it is now lawful for us to do whatever we want to do with them,” the group said.

The group has executed Hauwa Leman, an aid worker with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), according to the statement.

“In a short clip seen by a special correspondent of TheCable, Leman was forced to kneel down, with her hands tied inside a white hijab which has a crest symbol, and then shot at close range,” The Cable reported.

Boko Haram in September killed Saifura Ahmed, one of the three humanitarian workers abducted in Rann, Borno state, in March. Leman, a 24-year-old midwife and student of health education at the University of Maiduguri, was among those then kidnapped.

In its statement, the Boko Haram group said, “Saifura and Hauwa were killed because they are considered as Murtads [apostates] by the group because they were once Muslims that have abandoned their Islam, the moment they chose to work with the Red Cross, and for us, there is no difference between Red Cross and UNICEF…If we see them, we will kill the apostates among them, men or women, and chose to kill or keep the infidels as slaves, men or women.”

Leah was the only Christian among more than 100 high school girls kidnapped from the Government Girls’ Science and Technical College, Dapchi, on Feb. 19. The other girls were released in March.

Government representatives and advocates within Nigeria, along with the international community have called for her release.

Boko Haram has not made known its demands for the release of the hostages. It had set a deadline of Monday (Oct. 15) for its demands to be met or it would kill one of the hostages.

Nigerian Minister of Information and Culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed said in a statement that government officials were shocked and saddened at the killing of Leman in light of efforts the government has taken to secure the release of the hostages. Mohammed said the killing was “dastardly, inhuman and ungodly” and said the government did all within its powers to save her life.

“As we have been doing since these young women were abducted, we kept the line of negotiations open all through,” Mohammed said in the statement. “In all the negotiations, we acted in the best interest of the women and the country as a whole…We are deeply pained by this killing, just like we were by the recent killing of the first aid worker. However, we will keep the negotiations open and continue to work to free the innocent women who remain in the custody of their abductors.”

Leah’s mother, Rebecca Sharibu, on Sept. 29 called on President Muhammadu Buhari to secure Leah’s release. Buhari later spoke with Leah’s mother, pledging to do everything possible to get her released.

Boko Haram has kidnapped more than 1,000 children in Nigeria since 2013, according to CNN.
About 100 of 276 girls kidnapped by Boko Haram from the town of Chibok, in Borno state, in 2014 are still missing.

Boko Haram, whose name is loosely translated as, “Western education is a sin,” has fought for nine years to impose sharia (Islamic law) on all of Nigeria, killing tens of thousands of people and displacing more than 2 million. Boko Haram militants reportedly warned parents of the returned Dapchi girls not to send their daughters back to school.

In 2015 the Nigerian military began taking back most of the territory Boko Haram had controlled, but many areas remain, and the terrorists are still mounting isolated attacks. Jubilee Campaign reports that, according to figures from the Stefanos Foundation, Boko Haram in 2017 took responsibility for attacks that claimed more than 650 lives.

Christians make up 51.3 percent of Nigeria’s population, while Muslims living primarily in the north and middle belt account for 45 percent.

Nigeria ranked 14th on Open Doors’ 2018 World Watch List of countries where Christians suffer the most persecution.

Does Islam condone slavery?
Does Islamic teaching allow Muslim men to keep women as sex slaves?

Islam neither ignores nor condemns slavery. In fact, a large part of the Sharia is dedicated to the practice.
Muslims are encouraged to live in the way of Muhammad, who was a slave owner and trader. He captured slaves in battle; he had sex with his slaves; and he instructed his men to do the same. The Quran actually devotes more verses to making sure that Muslim men know they can keep women as sex slaves (4) than it does to telling them to pray five times a day (zero).

Quran (No verses taken out of context.)

Quran (33:50) – “O Prophet! We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid their dowers; and those (slaves) whom thy right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom Allah has assigned to thee” This is one of several personal-sounding verses “from Allah” narrated by Muhammad – in this case allowing a virtually unlimited supply of sex partners. Other Muslims are restricted to four wives, but they may also have sex with any number of slaves, following the example of their prophet.

Quran (23:5-6) – “..who abstain from sex, except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess…” This verse permits the slave-owner to have sex with his slaves. See also Quran (70:29-30). The Quran is a small book, so if Allah used valuable space to repeat the same point four times, sex slavery must be very important to him. He was relatively reticent on matters of human compassion and love.

Quran (4:24) – “And all married women (are forbidden unto you) save those (captives) whom your right hands possess.” Even sex with married slaves is permissible.

Quran (8:69) – “But (now) enjoy what ye took in war, lawful and good” A reference to war booty, of which slaves were a part. The Muslim slave master may enjoy his “catch” because (according to verse 71) “Allah gave you mastery over them.”

Quran (24:32) – “And marry those among you who are single and those who are fit among your male slaves and your female slaves…” Breeding slaves based on fitness.

Quran (2:178) – “O ye who believe! Retaliation is prescribed for you in the matter of the murdered; the freeman for the freeman, and the slave for the slave, and the female for the female.” The message of this verse, which prescribes the rules of retaliation for murder, is that all humans are not created equal. The human value of a slave is less than that of a free person (and a woman’s worth is also distinguished from that of a man).

Quran (16:75) – “Allah sets forth the Parable (of two men: one) a slave under the dominion of another; He has no power of any sort; and (the other) a man on whom We have bestowed goodly favours from Ourselves, and he spends thereof (freely), privately and publicly: are the two equal? (By no means;) praise be to Allah.’ Yet another confirmation that the slave is is not equal to the master. In this case, it is plain that the slave owes his status to Allah’s will. (According to 16:71, the owner should be careful about insulting Allah by bestowing Allah’s gifts on slaves – those whom the god of Islam has not favored).

Such a beautiful young lady (Leah Sharibu), my heart bleeds for her. If anyone thinks that the moslem president is going to do ANYTHING … I have some exceedingly attractive investment opportunities for them.

Yes, she is. It breaks my heart that a 15 year old is forced to go through things like this. I will continue my prayers that the one true God will stir the hearts of strong men who will rescue her.

The only force that had any real effect were the South African mercenaries that were employed to rid that land of the Biko Haram scum and they nearly succeeded but were called to halt their mission.
The Nigerian army appear to be worse than useless and have no idea how to protect their own people. The muslims are systematically murdering the Christians of the African content.
DEATH TO ISLAM!

Thank you. I had forgotten about the S. African mercenaries who proved to be well up to the job.

When I said I would pray for strong men to come to the rescue, the Nigerian army was not what I had in mind. It would probably require mercenaries or Special Forces. Nigeria has man especially wonderful Christians. No doubt some are in the army, and would love to help these people. But I am under the impressions that the purpose of most armies is to protect corrupt governments from the people, and are usually not for the protection of the citizens.

When the SA mercenaries were contracted the Christian Goodluck Jonathan was in power but after he left and a muslim was put in charge fighting Biko Haram appears to have gone off the agenda.
I’m hearing of muslim atrocities in Nigeria regularly now and the Army is going to be a divided force. If I was a Christian in the Nigerian army I definitely wouldn’t trust my muslim coleagues.

The terrorism against Nigerian Christians has been pretty thick for awhile, even under Goodluck Jonathan. It wasn’t his fault. There were those in the military who were sympathetic to the terrorists, and I think Saudi Arabia was supporting Boko Haram. I am hoping that President Trump will be speaking to Saudi Arabia behind the scenes about their support for terrorism against Christians.

The Saudis will appear to listen to president Trump’ nod their heads smile and say all the right things and then do bugger all.
The Saudis have their agenda regarding the worldwide caliphate and ridding Africa of Christians is part of it. Trump and the USA should have no dealings with these absolute bastards and neither should the UK.
We can still survive without selling Arms to scum who would murder us. I do despair at the path taken by our leaders. Surely they can see as easily as we can that you can’t trust snakes and rats.

I know. The problem may be that we are no better. What did we do, and are still doing, to the most Christian friendly nation in the Middle East? And we blame it on Russia?

I do like Trump very much in many ways. I am against our foreign policy. I hope you will watch the video I posted above for another person. We need to seek the truth wherever that leads.

Well, this poster did view the video. Just a few thoughts:
1. Do the participants understand fully the nature of man as God sees it?
2. Do they understand the role of George Soros in world intrigue? Nothing was said about his involvement in desecration of political systems across the globe. Maybe a mention of Soros is off-topic.

In any case, the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob need to take very seriously the prophecy of Jeremiah in 30:7-11 which is yet to come, and;

That the Holocaust was prophesied by Moses as a warning to Israel in Deuteronomy 27-28. The time of Jacob’s trouble will be worse, and this poster takes no joy making the statement.
Or, in Zechariah 13:8. A go around comes around, but a remnant will survive to see their Meschiach!

Honestly, I prayed for Brexit’s passage. The entire way that the “ruling elite” have stomped all over the will of the people, is beyond evil. Although, what’s going on this side of the Atlantic … is becoming every bit as evil. Stories account for more than truth. Lies are sold as truth. And, anything that takes an opposite view of the ruling elite are ostracized and censored.
The whole world has gone mad.

I find it incongruous and totally ridiculous that muslims say the quran holds all knowledge, when it only accounts for 14% of Islamic ideology…. only 39% of the quran is directed to how muslims should be (which is religious) and 61% of the quran is dedicated to the non believer and how they should be treated (political)…So if the whole quran holds all the information needed to be known but only 39% is about actual Islamic belief, then take that 39% and divide it into the 14% which compromises Islamic belief.. It works out at 3.5%…No wonder they are such an ignorant bunch.

For all the terrible things that colonialism brought to Africa, like democracy, education, wealth, roads, transport systems and health we left them in good shape to further their infant democracies. Fifty years on they are still living dependant on the west and China. There are now more starving people in Africa who want to come to the west. They wanted us to leave; we left. Now get over it.

A few years back in Nigeria two moslem soldiers held a Christian schoolgirl up by her feet in front of her schoolmates . Another moslem soldier with his sword split the child in two from her crotch to neck. The soldiers then asked the other school children if they wished to convert to islam! We must import more thousands of these moslems so that America can come under sharia sooner.

We must correct this inaccurate narrative. It calls Boko Haram an “extremist” Islamic sect. There is no extreme Islam, there is only Islam, as stated by the President and Dictator of Turkey. Please, Pamela, point out all the errors in these accounts lest mainstream media epithets become accepted as truths. So many are fooled by these code-words to minimize the reality of the situation.

Nigeria is a country sharply split nearly 50-50 between Christianity and Islam, it is already the battleground for Boko Haram, one of the world’s deadliest terror groups.
