Breitbart News is reporting that the Trump administration is considering the use of extraordinary presidential powers to “freeze” current immigration laws to stop the caravan of over 7,000 Central Americans from entering the US illegally.
The caravan, still approximately 1,000 miles from the US border, shows no signs of heeding Trump’s order to turn back. Trump and his advisors are said to be weighing the consequences of such an action “including interventions by progressive judges, media outrage, and hostility from the Mexican government.”
Trump considers this to be a matter of national security, as many of us do, and that the exercise of his extraordinary presidential powers at this time is both necessary and appropriate.

Breitbart’s Neil Munro said, “the multiple media reports were vague and closely timed as if a few officials — either pro-Trump or anti-Trump — leaked the reports of the pending executive action to either grab headlines or block the planned action.”
The San Francisco Chronicle reported:
The Trump administration is considering an executive action that could use travel ban-like authority to block certain asylum seekers at the Mexican border, sources familiar with the discussions said Thursday.
…First, Homeland Security and the Justice Department would issue a rule limiting immigrants’ ability to seek asylum if they are part of a population barred by the president. The rule would take effect immediately, unlike most, and be justified as an extraordinary situation.
That would clear the way for Trump to issue a proclamation directed at a specific population, expected to target the 7,000-plus Central Americans heading toward the U.S.
The Washington Post reported:
Fixated on the migrant caravan moving north through Mexico, President Trump is weighing a plan to shut the U.S. border to Central Americans and deny them the opportunity to seek asylum, asserting similar emergency powers used during the early 2017 “travel ban,” according to administration officials and people familiar with the proposal.
…Under U.S. law, foreign nationals fleeing persecution have the right to apply for asylum once they reach American soil, but the executive order under consideration would suspend that provision and bar Central Americans as a matter of national security, according to those familiar with the proposal.
The New York Times reported:
President Trump is considering taking executive action to bar migrants, including asylum seekers, from entering the country at the southern border, according to people familiar with the plan.
…The plan appeared meant as much to generate headlines to appeal to his anti-immigrant base and fuel outrage among Democrats and immigrant advocates — including legal challenges that administration officials are fully anticipating — as it was to have a practical effect on immigration.
Such an extraordinary action would no doubt cause a great uproar from the left, however the consequences of allowing 7,000 Central American immigrants into the US is a real and direct threat to the safety of American citizens, especially those living near the border. We need only to recall the Mariel boat lift of the 1980s to realize how dangerous it would be to allow this group into the country.
Obviously, the majority of those who have joined the caravan are exactly what they say they are, people seeking a better life. But the small percentage of them who are gang members, terrorists, members of drug cartels and human trafficking rings, make this a direct threat to US national security.
If this caravan is allowed into the US, it will set a frightening precedent for the caravans that will instantly follow. Before too long, we will be facing the same problems that many European countries are currently struggling with.
What is the alternative? Troops can’t just start firing indiscriminately into a crowd of 7,000 immigrants, most of whom are simply trying to escape the corruption of their current governments and are searching for economic opportunity.
If ever there was a time for President Trump to exercise extraordinary presidential powers, it is now.

I hope Trump DOES do that. FREEZE it till we straighten out the mess we already have. We are being snowed under with wave after wave of illegals. I wouldn’t mind if LEGAL immigration was to proceed but ALL other immigration should be halted. Our immigration laws MUST be changed to stop the madness.

As if it does any good, every person that votes needs to bombard their senator with demands to get it done. Used to be they could work as a team, but haven’t seen that for about 30 years that I can remember. Any time I’ve ever contacted a senator (refuse to show respect by giving the title a capital s) the only thing I’ve ever gotten is a for reply. It id doubtful that they even bother to read what is sent to them…..some file clerk just hits a reply button and puts the letter one sends into the shredder.

A state like California can say no to the National Guard but not the military.

Speaking of which- Considering their judges’ and senators’ penchant and adoration for travelers/migrants from watchlist countries, and for undocumented migrants and immigrants, I think Hawaii is an ideal place for a final destination for all of those who do make it through the border after the attack caravan border bum-rush… especially any “Middle Easterners” in the mix.
Can I suggest B. Hussein O., or Oprah’s island house? They could probably house a few of these so-called “refugees”. (Or just pick any lefty, cultural Marxist Hollywood celebrity with a Hawaii mansion.)

How about each one that steps a toe over our border gets picked up, pick on military transports and dropped right back off in Honduras….
In the forties Eisenhower deported illegals right back over the border…and he used the military to do it….
They came back. He deported them again deeper into Mexico….they came back…
The third time he put them on the Southern Border of Mexico…they didn’t come back.
If they grab the first batch and transport them to Honduras….word will spread and they will become dispirited and either stay in Mexico…or Guatemala…or back to Honduras….where they belong…why walk all the way to our border only to be picked up and put right back where you started?

If Ike did it, it seems to me that presumptively Trump should be able to do the same thing. At least it’s arguable enough to be debated in the courts while Trump actually does secure the border, and when it gets to SCOTUS it would be great if we had one more conservative justice there.

We don’t need 7,000 PLUS catch and release ILLEGALS on our streets.
There is a SECOND caravan following this and they will keep on coming as long as they are allowed here.
You have to say NO and stand on it. Right now, there is little incentive to not continue coming since we let the first caravan through and they were released because of LAWS not being changed.
Economic opportunity is not grounds for asylum. Besides if they are seeking asylum, they must apply to the FIRST free country – Mexico or countries that traveled through before that. We are NOT the FIRST country from where they came from.

Plus they are not fitting the rules for asylum – poverty, jobs or crime doesn’t work.
You have to prove government persecution….
Guess what?
They can “offer asylum” but bet ya they will review it and REJECT them.
That way Mexico can say we offered asylum but there were problems. They didn’t meet the requirements for asylum. Economic opportunity or crime is not a condition for asylum. Accepting applications doesn’t mean they will get asylum. Mexico doesn’t want them either.

Organizer Admits Caravan Is a ‘MASS Exodus’ from Central America to U.S.

The organizer of a 7,000-strong migrant caravan headed to the United States admits that the effort
is a “mass exodus” from Central America.
In an interview with USA Today, Pueblo Sin Fronteras organizer Alex Mensing admitted that the caravan is less about foreign nationals looking for legitimate asylum and more about the movement of ENTIRE populations from Central America to the U.S.
(Yes, you read that right and ENTIRE POPULATION to the U.S.)
“There’s no one in charge of this thing,”Alex Mensing, an organizer for Pueblo Sin Fronteras, an immigration rights group, told USA TODAY. “It’s a MASS exodus.” [Emphasis added]
Pueblo Sin Fronteras is the main open borders organization that has helped organize the migrant caravan.
Another organizer of the caravan, Bartolo Fuentes, admitted in an interview that the migrants are looking for jobs in the U.S. — which is an INELIGIBLE asylum claim.
“The people were waiting for an opportunity. People don’t have work here,” Fuentes said.
“They don’t have opportunity.” …….

3:50 PM — Sayoc lost his home in 2009 when IndyMac moved to FORECLOSURE on his south Florida home, according to Florida property and court records, per the Associated Press. IndyMac was renamed OneWest Bank.
Further, there are signs that Sayoc may have been a victim of a controversial industry practice during the recession.
The lawyer who signed Sayoc’s foreclosure paperwork was Erica Johnson-Seck, a lawyer for OneWest. Johnson-Seck was an official at the center of OneWest’s so-called “robo-signing” scandal. Robo-signing is where banks signed off on thousands of legal documents automatically without checking their accuracy, causing thousands of people to lose their homes without proper procedures.
Johnson-Seck, in a court deposition in 2009, testified she would sign more than 750 legal documents for One West a week.
3:45 PM — A man who operates a property management office near the Florida auto parts store where the mail bomb suspect parked his van says the suspect didn’t resist when armed police officers swarmed and arrested him, the Associated Press reports.
Thomas Fiori is a former federal law enforcement officer. He says he saw an undercover police officer in a nearby SUV looking at the AutoZone store with binoculars Friday.
Fiori says within minutes he heard a small explosion, probably a device police use to distract people. He says 50 officers swarmed the suspect’s van with their firearms drawn.
Fiori says the arrested man did not resist and “had that look of, ‘I’m done, I surrender.’”
Attorney General Jeff Sessions says he doesn’t know why pipe bombs were sent to prominent Democrats but the arrested man “appears to be a partisan.”

What is happening is history repeating itself. A country like the UK and USA work hard to maintain a respected moral compass and way of life. Work hard to improve the wealth of that country, then savages incapable of creating the same for themselves, think they can just invade and take it. The left liberal deseased, condone this but the people who have worked to create this will defend this vehemently. The USA has thankfully Mr Trump, in the UK we have but a few powerless advocates.
But lets not forget that in the UK we have had no problems with legal immigration from the likes of Sikhs, Hindus, Chinese. So it is not a blanket ban we seek but a ban on groups of people from country’s who will not assimilate in to our culture or way of life but choose to control possitions of power through stealth until they control the indigenous people. There should be a “transit zone” somewhere, but I doubt the current Mex administration would agree to it. Maybe AMLO would, or even better we could change our asylum laws to allow it to be in our country. It’s harder for Mexico, because their border cities come right up to the border, and on our side there’s open space.

I think some are getting demoralized, but some are plugging along. They’re not beling allowed to ride thru MX, they have to walk pretty much, so far at least. And that’s taking a toll. At least it’s making a lot of women and children turn around, so they won’t be in danger of getting hurt in a confrontation at our border.

I read that Guatemala told the one in El Salvador that they won’t be allowed to come into Honduras. From ES (or Honduras) one must go thru G to get to Mexico.
So Guatemala is cooperating. And they can also make it more difficult for any caravan already in Guatemala to get into Mexico, by blocking the Route 2 bridge just north of Tecan Uman / Ciudad Hidalgo which is probably what the first caravan used. No fence there, the bridge is entirely in Guatemala, it’s up to them to block it.

If some CS judge goes against Trump not letting these parasites in, then what if he ignores the judge and stands his ground, what can the judge physically do, take away his next meal? I believe Andrew Jackson did the same thing and the judge was unable to do a thing.
