Brazil’s “Trump” Jair Bolsonaro Wins Presidential Election

39

Trump is a global phenomenon.

Corrupt left-wing politicians have destroyed Brazil’s economy and made Brazilian cities unsafe. In 2017 alone, Brazil recorded close to 60,000 homicides. As a result, conservative politician Jair Bolsonaro is riding a wave of popularity similar to what the United States experienced with President Trump. Bolsonaro has been called “Brazil’s Trump” due to his nationalistic policies and his tough stance on crime. The slanderers in the media have naturally referred to him as a “far-right” politician. Like President Trump, the media (both inside and outside Brazil) despise Bolsonaro. Fortunately, the media and cultural elites do not decide who wins elections. It is the voters who decide who wins elections.

Jair Bolsonaro declared Brazil’s next president

The Guardian. October 28, 2018:

Jair Bolsonaro, a 63-year-old former paratrooper who built his campaign around pledges to crush corruption, crime and a supposed communist threat, secured 55.5% of the votes after more than 94% were counted and was therefore elected Brazil’s next president, electoral authorities said on Sunday.

Bolsonaro’s leftist rival, Fernando Haddad, secured 44.5% of votes.

In a video broadcast from his home in Rio de Janeiro, Bolsonaro thanked God, and vowed to stamp out corruption in the country.

“We cannot continue flirting with communism … We are going to change the destiny of Brazil,’ he said.

News of those results sent Bolsonaro devotees outside his beachfront home in western Rio de Janeiro into ecstasy.

“This is phenomenal. It’s a unique feeling,” said Rafael Gomes, a 34-year-old salesman who was among the crowds. “I can see a better future for my son, better health, education and security, something we haven’t had for years.”

Hordes of jubilant Bolsonaro supporters flocked onto Avenida Paulista, one of São Paulo’s most important boulevards, where they sang Brazil’s national anthem and set off fireworks.

Many fans wore the green and yellow colours of Brazil’s national flag which has become the trademark of Bolsonaro’s push for power.

“I feel so happy. Brazil is waking up. We are coming out of a trance,” said Jordan Requena, a 20-year-old student who was among the crowds.

Pietro Sambugaro, a 28-year-old Bolsonaro activist, broke down into tears as he described his joy. “I feel so proud to have been part of this change. He is our hope!”

God bless him … and I wish him good luck.

And I hope he does not cave. He’s going to face heavy and violent opposition.

And what is cave?

‘cave’ in this context means: To give up, to surrender, to reverse course under pressure – threats – duress.

Also – in this context – for a com – box writer in English – I am being polite.

Many of our politicians in America are corrupt, and they do not ‘cave.’ They never intended to keep their promises or serve their communities.

But I do not follow Brazilian politics, and I assume Mr. Jair Bolsonaro is an honorable and decent fellow – as much as any of us – and I do not want to malign him or insult him. And so I used ‘cave’ which is what happens when you are honest, but not powerful enough.

This happens- in America – to many naive politicians on the ‘right’ (this never happens on the Left for certain reasons) – These naive politicians have no idea how difficult and horrible the situation really is. I do – because I am a former state-bureaucrat and I have witnessed this. These politicians are forced to ‘cave’ or give up. They just do not have the power to push back against the Left.

At best, they can stop the Left from taking their position and using their vote. But some have been destroyed – bankrupted – and had to fight for years to avoid prison after false accusations. It’s very unfair when Left-wing politicians can openly commit crimes and never even face an investigation, but Right-wing politicians must fight false charges.

Most Americans do not understand that either.

President Bolsonaro’s courage after the attempted assassination is a very good sign. May God bless and protect him. I hope that he and President Trump will have the opportunity to meet and help make Latin America Greater Again.

Actually, FORA COMUNISMO is in the imperative form: “COMMUNISM GO HOME!” or “COMMUNISM, GET OUT!”

Soltamos fogos por todo o país. Essa vitória foi um duro golpe na esquerda, que flerta com regimes ditatoriais como o Irã. Tentaram matar o nosso presidente, mas ele é o escolhido por Deus para a nossa nação. “Feliz é a nação cujo Deus é o Senhor.”

We have fires all over the country. This victory was a blow to the left, flirting with dictatorial regimes like Iran. They tried to kill our president, but he is the one chosen by God for our nation.
“Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord.”

Much love to your brave country.

60,000 homicides in a year! Maybe now they can get that down to around 30,000.

In Brazil, all firearms are required to be registered with the minimum age for gun ownership being 25. It is generally illegal to carry a gun outside a residence, and a special permit granting the right to do so is granted to certain groups, such as law enforcement officers. … To legally own a gun, an owner must hold a gun license, which costs BRL R$1000, and pay a fee every three years to register the gun, currently at BRL R$85.

Those are the reasons for such a high homicide rate. They need some common sense gun control laws, such as allowing citizens to legally carry.

Brazil needs a Second Amendment and so does the rest of the world. We need to start interpreting ours as James Madison and the other creators of the Bill of Rights intended.

I agree with you. In Sweden only criminals carry gun, illegally of course.
Even most of the police are not allowed to carry.

At least Brazilians are trying to change their country.

If this caravan of ILLEGAL unqualified asylum seekers put the same energy into changing THEIR country,
instead of barging their way through fences and disregarding LAWS of other countries, these illegal asylum seekers could change their own country! This is what makes me doubt that they are coming for jobs. I believe they are coming here for crime and handouts. I see blatant defiance; not humility….

YES!
People there are wising up and voted for a POPULIST, NATIONALIST!
The LEFT even stabbed him and he still went on to campaign and win.
Yes the LEFT is VIOLENT!

Conservative Jair Bolsonaro Elected President of Brazil
By Framces Martel 10/28/18

Bolsonaro also lost significant campaigning time in September after a socialist sympathizer stabbed him during a rally in broad daylight, damaging his intestines and demanding major reconstructive surgery. His campaign relied on social media for much of the time he was in the hospital to maintain momentum. Opponents and antagonistic media accused Bolsonaro of inciting violence following the incident.

(See the pattern… the LEFT blames OTHERS for the VIOLENCE they INCITE and DO!)

We would have had more of this – comic below and other countries might not have been so courageous.
It just takes ONE to stand up for the people. Thank God Trump stepped up for US.

Here comes ANOTHER caravan!
Determined and violent!
Watch: Another Migrant Caravan Rushes Mexico-Guatemala Border
10/28/18
https://www.facebook.com/AztecaNoticias/videos/2159806551013060/

Members of the new caravan can be seen throwing rocks and other projectiles at Guatemalan authorities who attempted to stop them from breaking through a locked border gate. Video taken by Mexico’s Azteca Noticias shows the initial moments of the clash.

The yellow gate is the last barrier in Guatemala before the migrants entered an international port of entry on top of the Suchiate River that divides the two countries. Mexican authorities continue to stand guard on their side of the gate in case the migrants attempt to break through by force. The group formed the caravan to follow the lead of others in recent weeks. The initial caravan began in Honduras earlier this month and publicly stated they would not stop until they reach the U.S. border.

Oh the horror of it all. There are unwashed deplorables all over the world. If they are not stopped soon, the ruling metropolitan pseudo-intellectual elite will be thrown out and globalism will be dead. Unfortunately, the master of the German Union,Merkel is still there importing the third-world savages. Note that he is classified as far-right, xenophobic, populist (brain-dead) etc but his defeated opponent is not classified as far-left but as a socialist.
The left-wing Guardian as classified him as ” extreme right”.

The Catholic church has infested Brazil for many decades with ‘Liberation Theology’ and bargain basement ‘Marxism’ to the point that one of the great Catholic nations of the world is now run by an Evangelical Christian. 35% of Brazilians now identify themselves as Pentecostal. As you know, such an identification is invariably much more authentic than those who blithely put ‘Catholic’ on a survey and live as complete securalists. As a Catholic myself I’m happy for Brazil.

This is rough. On the one hand, we may have a reformer who can use trade to revitalize this country. He wants to do business with the U.S., Israel, So. Korea and Japan. Like Trump, he feels trade tariffs are not favorable to his country.
Also, like Trump, he carries the stigma of misogyny. I don’t think it is true, but he is chauvinistic. He has also made statements about gays that are offensive to us straight people. That is the other hand.
His personal political history has changed as well. He does not seem to know if he is a religious Christian or if G-d exists at all.
One thing does stand out about him, and he is a Nationalist. I have no problem with that, but it usually means the small person is overlooked. Those “small people” in this case are the indigenous people living in the interior. They protect the Amazon, as much as it is going to be protected, but there has been a lot of violence against them.
I am pro-gun, as is the new president. I don’t know if restoring gun ownership on a universal level will ever reach those Indians, so they must be protected.
And, just like anybody else new to Office, we must wait and see.

The West, is on the precipice of Secular Darwinist Socialism or Judeo Christian Freedom. Except for China and Muslim countries, we are technologically a global community. Abortion guilt is bankrupting the West. Politicians use our money to fund good works social programs which serve to alleviate societies subconscious need to provide the womb evidenced by sanctuary cities, unrestrained immigration, the psychological need to mother other people’s children, since they aborted & abandoned their own. What I’m saying is, there’s a lot of people who need the forgiveness only God their Creator through Christ can give. Social Works programs “Assuaging Power” is coming to an end because the left is out of our money. The hand writings on the wall, so politicians like Bernie Sanders in America, are pushing outright socialism. This will lead to Global dictatorship unless Christians can help people solve their abortion guilt and of course other sins problem. Christian’s know that repentance precedes freedom and liberty. This is so called American exceptionalism. We can take it global now that the evidence is obvious that good works doesn’t work. Do we want individual freedom and liberty or the slavery of collectivist socialism?
