Texas biology teacher on leave for allegedly bullying pro-Trump student

A biology teacher at McNeil High School is on administrative leave after allegedly mocking a student for supporting President Trump. (Google maps)A high school biology teacher is on administrative leave after she allegedly mocked a student for supporting President Trump and calling others “a bunch of Trumpies” in Round Rock, Texas.
The incident occurred on the fifth day back from summer vacation, Aug. 22, at McNeil High School outside of Austin, according to district officials.

The bullied student’s mother claims the public school teacher said: “By the way, I hate Donald Trump with a burning passion and he is a complete douchebag.”
She told KHOU11 the instructor singled out her son for his conservative views and support for Trump’s tax plan, calling him “Trumpy” instead of his name and saying things including “Hey, Trumpy, do you have an answer to this?” or “What do you think, Trumpy?”
She said her son didn’t want to talk about politics in science class and felt embarrassed to be targeted.
At the end of the class, the mother said the teacher put one last insult against her son, mocking his beliefs: “Now, you’re not going to fight me when we start talking about evolution, are you?”
His parents filed a formal complaint against McNeil High School, which has 2,600 students.
District spokeswoman Jenny LaCoste-Caputo told Fox News the teacher was immediately removed from the classroom after the district was made aware of the alleged incident, or “political discussion,” that occurred in the AP biology class.
“In Round Rock ISD, our goal is to create a classroom environment where students feel safe and respected,” LaCoste-Caputo said in a statement. “The teacher was removed from the classroom, pending review, and remains on administrative leave as appropriate action is considered.”
The teacher has been assigned other duties that don’t have her interacting with students. She is still getting paid.

What is the “teacher’s” name? Let’s get all Left Wingnut Regressive on it … What’s her address? Does she have children? If so, where do they attend school? Is she married? If so, what’s her husband’s name and where does he work? What is her personal telephone number?
If this had been the other way around, Left Wingnut Regressives would already have that information … and would have made it public. Moreover, there would be, by this time, a few hundred death threats against that “teacher” and her family.

Exactly! The Democrats would be all over this one. They’d have the kid on CNN and MSNBC. Probably the View too. That teacher isn’t there to judge kids on their political views. Oh wait, yes they are and they do it all the time. It’s infuriating the way they treat kids who they feel are not In lockstep with their radical agenda.

Based on the left wing activities of almost any day, Achmed simply told the truth. Are you not aware that they do publish names, address, complain to employers, and sometimes publish even the name of the children’s school of the enemies of the Progressive Communist camp?
Achmed is just saying we should give them a taste of their own medicine. This might help some of them grow up. Conservatives don’t seem to have a clue how you do battle with the Left. Turning the other cheek will not work with most of them. They need to be called out for what they are.

perhaps so. Maybe you and Janet can help. The teacher was definitely wrong, her job should be on the line. I digress where people start attacking all other families and livelihoods of a person who should not have necessarily blended politics with biology- at least not until college.
As for Achmed’s various comments, most are derogatory and serve little to elaborate any solution. Thus far I see nothing positive he has to say regardless the topic; our only consensus seems to be about muslims-there he has some thoughtful comment. The dems are relegating themselves to degenerates, and so they would be all over this-offering nothing beyond their opinion. As for teaching our children: teach with compassion, and question everything.

His basic tenet about this story and the typical Conservatives reaction to the outcome vs. what the “normally typical strongly over-reaction of the “New Left Marxist” would be is correct.

Why? Because the left rejects God and embraces man. The same thing Catholics do and why that Poop up there won’t defend the children but the men under him. It’s one big BOY’S club for the men.

Oh NO, Strangerinastrageland. There were MANY Protestants, prior to Luther. Point of fact, two Holy Bibles (that we know of), translated from earlier/original texts, as opposed to the Church of Rome’s vulgate, were published FAR before Luther. Wyckliffe’s translation of the NT was in 1380, followed by the Old Testament (majority of work, for such was by Nicholas Hereford) in 1388. William Tyndale’s NT was published in 1524 with the OT in 1534. Mixed into that time frame (over a century), there were others, such as Miles Coverdale …
It was not until 1534 that Luther’s translation was published.
That, solely deals with Holy Bible translations, from original Hebrew and Greek, as opposed to those made from the Vulgate.
Say all that you desire about Luther, good or bad … but he was NOWHERE near to the first of the Prostestants.

This teacher should be fired!!! It’s people like her who influence our youth and should never be allowed to be in a position of power with such a negative attitude. Texas has always been very patriotic and this teacher certainly isn’t a good role model. Get rid of her.

I am very conservative and it would never enter my mind to “mock” someone over their beliefs. My Dad and especially mother would stand up in their graves and their would be trouble. What I read into this story is this teacher has an elitist attitude that she is “superior in her thoughts and beliefs.” This comes from a lack of manners and her sense of “I’m educated.”
