If Christine Ford were to make her accusation in any courtroom in America, even a mediocre defense attorney could shatter her credibility within minutes under cross-examination. Here’s what that might look like:
Defense Attorney: When did this occur Ms. Ford?
Ms. Ford: I’m not exactly sure. I believe it was 1982.

Defense Attorney: Where did it happen?
Ms. Ford: At a house in our town. I’m not sure whose house it was or where it was. I don’t remember how I got there. But I can tell you that it had a swimming pool and I recall a narrow stairway.
Defense Attorney: Who was present in the house?
Ms. Ford: Brett Kavanaugh, Mark Judge, two other boys and another girl.
Defense Attorney: What are the names of the other boys and the girl who were present?
Ms. Ford: I don’t remember.
Defense Attorney: Were you hurt?
Ms. Ford: No.
If this had been such a pivotal moment for her, how could she have forgotten any those facts? Most victims of sexual assault remember every detail – yes, even years later. No jury would send a young man to prison based on that testimony.
Without a shred of evidence, a highly qualified judge, with no other blemish on his record, is being smeared on the national stage by a political lynch mob out for blood. Ben Shapiro spoke to Fox News’ Martha MacCallum and said “you have to have some standard of evidence before you destroy a man’s life.” Shapiro’s comments can be heard in the video below.
Jeanine Pirro spoke to Hannity on Thursday night and asked, “Since when does truth and justice or guilt and innocence depend on your political party. I fear for this nation when this is now the standard. You believe any woman who goes against a Republican and you don’t believe any woman who goes against a Democrat.”
She continued. “I worry about this country. I don’t want these people to sit on juries. It’s no longer about truth and justice. It’s about politics.”
Hannity asks, “Why are people willing to throw out due process, equal justice under the law and the presumption of innocence?”
Gregg Jarrett says it’s “because they’re over zealous to the point where they’ve lost their common sense.”

Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA) is to be commended on his handling of the situation. In the spirit of compromise, he called off the Senate committee vote that had been on the calendar for Thursday and scheduled a hearing for next Monday so that both Christine Ford and Brett Kavanaugh could state their cases. Kavanaugh immediately responded to Grassley. For 36 hours, there was silence from the Ford camp. Then, their demands began.
First, it was reported that Ford would answer questions, but only at a closed hearing and only after an FBI investigation had been completed.
Republicans felt that the request for a closed hearing was reasonable, but the demand for a new FBI investigation was not.
The FBI investigates federal crimes and/or national security issues. When the FBI received Dianne Feinstein’s letter last week, they forwarded it to the White House to place in Kavanaugh’s background check file. (Note: The FBI has already conducted six background checks on Kavanaugh, the most recent one was done this summer.)
It was announced later that Sen. Grassley would not change the date of the hearing set for Monday. Even Senators Jeff Flake, Bob Corker and Lindsey Graham, who have all said Ford needs to be heard, have indicated that if she does not show up for Monday’s hearing, they will schedule a vote on Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
On Thursday afternoon, Ford’s highly partisan, activist attorney emailed Grassley saying, although her client strongly prefers that an investigation take place beforehand, Ford will testify next week, but she cannot do so on Monday. And she will only be questioned by members of the senate panel, not outside lawyers.
Why not Monday? Does she have an important dentist appointment she can’t get out of? In order to avoid the criticism that will no doubt come anyway, the Republicans on the Senate Judicial committee have tried very hard to oblige Ford’s requests, even offering to go to California to hear her testimony.
She and her attorneys feel that they are in the driver’s seat and thus, can call all the shots. Democrats want to delay this vote until after the midterms because they believe they have a chance to retake the Senate as well as the House.
Rush Limbaugh points out that the Senate has already bent over backwards to accommodate the accuser. “I don’t care who you are, no accuser gets to determine the scope and the parameters of an investigation. The accuser doesn’t get to determine when and who investigates. In no circumstance in the country does that happen.”
In addition to the political reasons for the delay requests, it appears as if this woman is reluctant to testify under oath, possibly because she doesn’t want to perjure herself. Maybe she realizes the magnitude of what her accusations have unleashed. Either this did not happen at all or a much milder version of the situation she alleges occurred. Kavanaugh may have made a pass at her as 17 year-old boys (and even some 17-year-old girls) are known to do. Ford said no and that was it. Even she admits, they did not have sex, nor was this a hostage situation. The perception of events by a 15-year-old girl may differ significantly from reality. And 36 years can distort memories, one way or another.
What is happening in the Brett Kavanaugh nomination process should concern every American. Whatever happened or did not happen, it’s difficult to feel sorry for someone who comes forward at such a politically opportune moment. There was ample time to have addressed this in July or August, but Dianne Feinstein chose to sit on it until the moment it could inflict maximum political damage.
Democrats may be overestimating the strength of their hand. And Ms. Ford may be overestimating the integrity of the “supportive” lawmakers and lawyers currently handling her. Watch all these sensitive lawmakers and high profile, activist attorneys scatter like mice from her once the senate vote is over (regardless of the result). Ford can choose to state her case on Monday or not, but she is not in a position to be calling the shots.

Wanda Barzee could no longer be legally held. Yes she was sentenced to 15 years (cutting a deal to testify against her husband, who got life without parole), but her sentence had reached maximum expiration (counting credit for 7 years already served). She was sentenced in 2010, but had been in custody from 2003 until 2018.

I wasn’t really a huge fan of Judge Kavanaugh. as I felt that there were far better choices. However, if he is not confirmed by the Senate …. I’ll sit out the midterms. Gave ’em the House. Then, gave ’em the Senate. Then gave ’em the Executive Branch …. if a staged looney tune can derail the vote …. What good are Republicans? I’ll go more into the beans ‘n bullets mind frame and let that rest of the world simply flutter by.

As for the justice system, it is supposed to be tilted for the accused to have the right to defend himself or herself. That’s how the COTUS was written.

It bespeaks a bias, and choosing of sides, against the realities of nature and biology, and towards an insidious ideology that seeks to smash any differences and distinctions between male and female for purely socio-political reasons (the radical Left advocates the spread of transgenderism as a means of ending “white male heterosexual privilege” and “toxic masculinity” and what radical feminists of “Dr.” Ford’s ilk see as a “pervasive” culture of “misogyny” and “sexual misconduct” – to say nothing of their drive to smash “the patriarchy”). It also indicates a total disrespect for the privacy, dignity, boundaries and safety of women and children.

Though this article essentially points out that the “me too” movement is running amok, I can never condone conduct that results in one gender taking advantage of the other, whatever is used to provide that advantage. Yet, in this Kavanaugh case I believe we are all forgetting something that not only is pertinent but is the way of Mother Nature. Boys and Girls, and their respective hormones, are naturally attracted to one and other. That is the very nature of our species and it does result in the propagation of the species. Modern Man and Woman have adopted an approach to conduct involving that concept by requiring consent from both participants, although I recognize that we do have laws concerning when such conduct is considered statutory. One factor to always consider is the age of the twosome. Again, while I cannot condone sexual assault under any circumstances, as that conduct is criminal, in the instant case we must understand that the coming out of this women is obviously politically motivated and likely was pushed by the obstructionist Democratic Party, and probably by the likes of people like George Soros, that it reeks from the get go, no matter what her testimony might be. Furthermore, if this DID happen, it happened when she was 15 and he 17, and while she may have suffered psychological concerns, this did not interfere with her schooling and today she is a university professor. No one should be burdened with the kind of albatross that is being hung on the neck of Kavanaugh when those are the circumstances and he has lived since then a very law abiding, productive and positive life. This whole situation makes no sense to me and is out of hand and the Senate should confirm this appointment even after they hear her story and conclude that it is a she said he said, or even if there is doubt one way or the other..

To touch on what Sean Hannity said, “It’s a serious case” I would agree yes it is – if it’s supported by credible evidence.
Judge Pirro was right, justice cannot depend on political favouritism.
This was an informative interview even for the usual American failings of talking over each other and the questioner posing soft questions which agreed with the answers conclusions.
This accusation as many now suspect is just snowflake tantrum time, as I’ve remarked many times, what matters to these virtue signalers is not truth or reason but the purity of their personal beliefs, publicly displayed and conforming in every way to their now frustrated PC norms. Such inadequate prejudiced people sitting on a jury is a real threat and horrible prospect.
What is now a growing concern to those “looking in” is the degree to which brain rot and hard left fascism is infecting American society young and older alike, when that society wields the most powerful sticks of deterrence intended to help the rest of us survive.
Those snowflakes are showing resilience and coming back strongly in their flirtation with sedition, bigger guns and harder hitting from the populist right are needed.

~ No hearing unless the accuser specifies the date, time and place of the ‘offence’
~ No hearing unless the accuser produces at least one credible witness
~ No hearing unless the accuser appears first (as per normal legal practice)
~ If the ‘offence’ details and witness are not produced by a given deadline, Kavanaugh’s confirmation proceeds.
Where are the Republican’s clever legal negotiators? They should have stomped on this from the get-go. Instead they have allowed the Democrats and their unsubstantiated accuser to run rampant, effectively unchallenged…

In my opinion: What lengths will Blasely-Ford go to prevent the overturn of Roe vs. Wade? I really don’t know, but she may have a conflict of interest where Kavanaugh is concerned since many democrats are afraid that Roe vs. Wade may come before SCOTUS and that Kavanaugh will vote it is not constitutional. Ford works and researches for the pharmaceutical company that manufacturers the abortion pill drug, whose profits could be greatly affected if this were to happen.
Corcept Therapeutics (Corcept.com) manufacturers and markets an abortion pill drug called mifepristone, and Christine Blasey Ford is a co-author of at least eight published scientific papers produced by the pharmaceutical giant to promote its pills.

While I can’t tell you if this happened or not, my inclination is that there is no proof, nor damage. There isn’t even a clear story let alone evidence. I keep hearing women say they believe Ford because that’s how men act! If that were the case, it would be acceptable because it would be the normal thing to do. It isn’t, but every teen boy has touched a girl and had his hand pushed away. That is normal, and part of growing up. (I mean every boy unless there is something abnormal about him).
Girls can be aggressive too. The Girls School where Ford went had a reputation as a party school. She probably slept with many guys and can’t remember who was who, because she was drunk.
Now that her name and allegation has popped up, at the last moment, it would be hard to investigate her. We must take what we know. We know she is supposedly intelligent, but that she is also a hard-core Leftie. Would she lie to stall this process? Does she know the difference between truth and her imagination?

As much as I hate the stalling, Grassley has played the situation right. There will be no reason for anyone to claim she didn’t have her chance to state her case. She is now supposed to appear Thursday. If she doesn’t, the Senate confirmation process should be held the following Monday. No more stalling.

Total category error. This is not a criminal trial, it is a job interview. Judges are supposed to avoid even the appearance of possible impropriety and recuse themselves from even the appearance of a conflict of interest. Even if he survives this grilling and gets confirmed, Kavanaugh will forever stain the Supreme Court, just as Thomas has already done. The only honorable thing for him to do, if he wants to preserve both his own reputation as a fair and decent man AND the court’s, is to withdraw his nomination. Maybe Trump can nominate a woman instead. And Kavanaugh would not be “ruined” — he still sits on the second-highest court in the land, the DC Circuit.
