Kavanaugh Decries Last Minute Smear As New Accuser Emerges

65

A second woman, Deborah Ramirez, has come forward to level accusations of sexual misconduct by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

And now Kavanaugh, once again, has been put in the very unAmerican role of having to prove his innocence.

Brett Kavanaugh has been accused by Christine Blasey Ford of sexual misconduct. And now, a second woman has come forward to accuse him of the same.

The White House continues to support Kavanaugh.

Story continues below advertisement

And Kavanaugh, meanwhile, denies this accusation, as well as the first from Christine Blasey Ford.

More from the Daily Caller:

A second woman shared her account of alleged sexual misconduct on the part of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh Sunday night, claiming that Kavanaugh exposed himself to her during a party in college in either 1983 or 1984.

The accuser, Deborah Ramirez, attended Yale University with Kavanaugh in the mid-1980s. The White House affirmed its support for Kavanaugh as the story broke in The New Yorker, while college classmates of both Ramirez and Kavanaugh gave conflicting accounts of the events at issue.

By Ramirez’s telling, Kavanaugh thrust his penis in her face during a dorm room party, which she then pushed away. She admits to drinking heavily on the night in question, and said that, while significant gaps exist in her memory, the account was the result of six days of careful reflection in conjunction with her attorney. The report indicates that Ramirez was initially reluctant to definitively ascribe the behavior to Kavanaugh.

“This alleged event from 35 years ago did not happen,” Kavanaugh said in a statement. “The people who knew me then know that this did not happen, and have said so. This is a smear, plain and simple. I look forward to testifying on Thursday about the truth, and defending my good name.”

In a separate statement, White House spokeswoman Kerri Kupec said President Donald Trump had no plans to withdraw the nomination. (RELATED: Kavanaugh Accuser Blasey Ford Hasn’t Filed A Police Report)

“This claim is denied by all who were said to be present and is wholly inconsistent with what many women and men who knew Judge Kavanaugh at the time in college say,” Kupec said. “The White House stands firmly behind Judge Kavanaugh.”

The report names witnesses who corroborate both Kavanaugh and Ramirez. One unnamed classmate recalled hearing about the event contemporaneously while another, Mark Krasberg, said Kavanaugh’s conduct at Yale was much discussed among alumni after his nomination to the high court.

Two male students Ramirez claimed were present during the misconduct deny that it occurred, while three other classmates who knew both Kavanaugh and Ramirez said the behavior alleged is broadly inconsistent with the judge’s behavior in college.

Another unnamed student, who said she was one of Ramirez’s closest friends at Yale, said Ramirez has never mentioned the event.

The New Yorker was not able to confirm that Kavanaugh was present at the party where Ramirez says she was assaulted.

Kavanaugh is scheduled to appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee to give testimony, after Christine Blasey Ford accused him of attempted sexual assault. It was not clear Sunday night whether Ramirez would participate in the proceedings.

After publication of the Ramirez accusation Sunday night, Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California wrote to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley urging him to stop action on Kavanaugh’s nomination.

“I am writing to request an immediate postponement of any further proceedings related to the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh,” the letter reads. “I also ask that the newest allegations of sexual misconduct be referred to the FBI for investigation and that you join our request for the White House to direct the FBI to investigation the allegations of Christine Blasey Ford as well as these new claims.”

Kavanaugh’s conservative supporters were undeterred by the Ramirez story, and urged Senate Republicans to move ahead with the judge’s confirmation, rather than buckle to what they called a smear campaign.

“[Senate Minority Leader] Chuck Schumer vowed to oppose Kavanaugh with everything he’s got, and apparently that took the form of character assassination,” said Carrie Severino, chief counsel of the conservative Judicial Crisis Network. “This has all of the ingredients of a smear campaign on steroids. Senate Republicans should stand up to these unsubstantiated and discredited allegations and move forward with a vote to confirm Kavanaugh.”

Disgusting
people are saying someone is guilty because they desperately want that person to
be guilty. These bigots clearly know that they should wait for both parties to
fully detail what they say happened and they can then make a judgment
after hearing what they say.

Kavenaugh is a FIGHTER. Look at this letter from him. Note the COLON… He is pissed and should be.

Dear Chairman Grassley and Ranking Member Feinstein:

When I testified in front of the Senate three weeks ago, I explained my belief that fair process is foundational to justice and to our democracy.

At that time, I sat before the Senate Judiciary Committee for more than 31 hours and answered questions under oath. I then answered more questions at a confidential session. The following week, I responded to more than 1,200 written questions, more than have been submitted to all previous Supreme Court nominees combined.

Only after that exhaustive process was complete did I learn, through the news media, about a 36year-old allegation from high school that had been asserted months earlier and withheld from me throughout the hearing process. First it was an anonymous allegation that I categorically and unequivocally denied. Soon after the accuser was identified, I repeated my denial on the record and made clear that I wished to appear before the Committee. I then repeated my denial to Committee investigators—under criminal penalties for false statements. All of the witnesses identified by Dr. Ford as being present at the party she describes are on the record to the Committee saying they have no recollection of any such party happening. I asked to testify before the Committee again under oath as soon as possible, so that both Dr. Ford and I could both be heard. I thank Chairman Grassley for scheduling that hearing for Thursday.

Last night, another false and uncorroborated accusation from 35 years ago was published. Once again, those alleged to have been witnesses to the event deny it ever happened. There is now a frenzy to come up with something—anything—that will block this process and a vote on my confirmation from occurring.

These are smears, pure and simple. And they debase our public discourse. But they are also a threat to any man or woman who wishes to serve our country. Such grotesque and obvious character assassination—if allowed to succeed—will dissuade competent and good people of all political persuasions from service.

As I told the Committee during my hearing, a federal judge must be independent, not swayed by public or political pressure. That is the kind of judge I will always be. I will not be intimidated into withdrawing from this process. The coordinated effort to destroy my good name will not drive me out. The vile threats of violence against my family will not drive me out. The last minute character assassination will not succeed.

I have devoted my career to serving the public and the cause of justice, and particularly to promoting the equality and dignity of women. Women from every phase of my life have come forward to attest to my character. I am grateful to them. I owe it to them, and to my family, to defend my integrity and my name. I look forward to answering questions from the Senate on Thursday.

Sincerely,

Brett M. Kavanaugh

New Yorker Publishes Accusation Containing ZERO Evidence to Support, and 100% of Evidence To Refute…
Posted on September 23, 2018 by sundance

This is beyond bizarre. Seriously. Forget the salacious details in the story…. the construct of the story is so stunningly flawed it is jaw-dropping as presented.

The New Yorker runs an article about an accusation made by a woman named Deborah Ramirez (53, pictured right) about a freshman party at Yale, where she claims she was in a drunken stupor and Judge Brett Kavanaugh, then 18, pulled out his penis during a drinking game.

Etc. Etc. Etc…. Really, no need to go further.

Why?

Because despite their search, and discussions with “dozens” of potential witnesses…

“The magazine contacted several dozen classmates of Ramirez and Kavanaugh regarding the incident”…

….the New Yorker was unable to find a single witness to corroborate the story being made by the accuser. None. Not a single confirming witness to back up the claim. They write:

…”The New Yorker has not confirmed with other eyewitnesses that Kavanaugh was present at the party.”…

But wait.

It gets better.

The accuser did give the New Yorker six names to support her claim. Six witnesses Deborah Ramirez stated could substantiate her accusation. And when the New Yorker interviewed them, ALL SIX said it never happened.

Now, stop for a minute and think about this.

A claim is made.

The New Yorker tries to substantiate the claim.

The New Yorker finds ZERO people who can validate the claim.

The six witnesses the accuser says will back up her claim all deny any knowledge of the claim; yet the New Yorker still runs the article.

100% of the evidence discovered by the New Yorker refutes the claim.

Yet they publish it.

The lib/commies are a vicious cult, worshiping their lust for power. Devil admirer, Saul Alinsky, said that the attacks on the…haves must be fun and face it — just accusing Judge Kavanuagh of frotteurism with the first accuser is not very fun. However, having another accuser smearing Judge Kavanuagh pushing his genitals into her face is a much more fun smear than Blassy Ford’s initial smear. It is sort of a game of “can you top this.” Saul Alinsky said that one’s tactics should be fun for your side and the smear of Judge Kavanaugh pushing his penis into Miss. Ramirez’s face is more fun than the mere frotteurism smear of the first smear artist.

Disgusting. Georgetown Prep preps preppies for Trump duty. I see why Trump likes this dump! The place is like some kind of Catholic Sex Farm for boys. Sex education is not just on the curriculum, it’s extracurricular activity. It’s the School for Sex…. for rape craving, horny psychopaths. Kavanaugh sounds like the archetypal creep psychopath: a gargantuan appetite for not just filthy rape, but gambling his life savings as well on “sports tickets” i.e. “sports lottery tickets”. And all the lying and secretiveness about his dirty dealings as a Republican operative with the Bushies. They should have know this man was a dirty pig based on the filthy minded questions he proposed to ask Bill Clinton during his impeachment contretemps (look that up). Another sign of his despicable character: He didn’t even have the decency to shake the hands of a father of a school shooting victim, instead shunning him with a dirty idiotic look on his face, while the whole country watched.
“Since taking office in 2017, Trump has now selected three alumni of Georgetown Preparatory School to serve in high-ranking positions in the federal government. In addition to Kavanaugh (class of 1983), Trump’s other Supreme Court appointee, Neil Gorsuch, also attend the school (class of 1985), as did Trump’s selection for Federal Reserve Chair, Jerome Powell (class of 1971).”

Went back and checked some history. This scenario is almost exactly like what tactics the Nazis used against the German General Staff in the late 30’s. They used prostitutes or homosexuality as the weapon, so these guys resigned in disgrace. Then the “generals” that believed in the Nazi philosophy moved into those seats of power to groom the German Army for its later endeavors. So….this is not new we are just doomed to repeat it.
