The American Academy of Pediatrics proposed a resolution to begin to practice this barbaric mutilation in a multicultural, dhimmi effort — a “nick” they euphemtically called it. This would have given clitoridectomy the seal of approval by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Female genital mutilation (FGM) or clitoridectomy is an Islamic tradition, rampant in the Muslim world. Hadiths have Muhammad justifying it. Over 96% of the women in Egypt have been clitoridectomized. Back in 2008, devout members of the Egyptian parliament have made female genital mutilation (circumcision) legal again in Egypt. With the advent of increased Muslim immigration, this has become a pressing issue here in America. Campaigns like the one described here are foredoomed to failure, because they don’t address the Islamic roots of the problem.

The number of women and girls at risk for female genital mutilation (FGM) in the United States has more than doubled in the past 10 years. More than half a million women and girls in the U.S. are at risk of undergoing FGM in the U.S. or abroad, or have already undergone the procedure, including 166,173 under the age of 18, according to the Population Reference Bureau (PRB).
Dissemblers and deceivers claim that FGM is cultural phenomenon, not religious. FGM is an Islamic cultural phenomenon. FGM is found only within and adjacent to Muslim communities.
Unlike male circumcision, female genital mutilation has no health benefits for girls and women.
Female genital mutilation (FGM) involves partial or total removal of the clitoris, causing injury to the female genital organs for non-medical reasons.

Procedures can cause severe bleeding and problems urinating, and later cysts, infections, as well as complications in childbirth and increased risk of newborn deaths.
More than 200 million girls and women alive today have been cut in 30 countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia, where FGM is concentrated.
FGM is mostly carried out on young girls between infancy and age 15.
FGM is a violation of the human rights of girls and women.

2 Young Sisters Die After Undergoing Female Genital Mutilation

Two sisters from a remote pastoral village in Puntland State, Somalia, died on Sept. 11 of complications from a female genital mutilation (FGM) procedure.
An “inexperienced self-proclaimed traditional circumciser” performed the procedure the day before, according to Dr. Mohamed Hussein Aden, director of the University Teaching Hospital in Galkayo, Somalia, who sent an email with his comments to NPR.
According to Aden, the procedure caused profuse bleeding, and the girls died of hemorrhagic shock en route to the hospital, about 75 miles from the location of the procedure.
Aden indicated that the girls — Aasiyo Farah Abdi Warsame, 10, and Khadijo, 11 — underwent the form of FGM known as infibulation, in which the clitoris and labia are cut and re-stitched to narrow the vaginal opening.
Claudia Cappa, senior adviser of statistics for child protection and development at UNICEF, told NPR that infibulation is commonly practiced in Somalia and is the most invasive type of FGM procedure.
“Infibulation is the most severe form of FGM and cutting, which [can] result in the death of the girl,” Cappa says.
The deaths of the two sisters this week follow the death of another Somali girl, Deeqa Nuur, 10, in July 2018, who also hemorrhaged after an FGM procedure.
The cases underscore concerns about FGM in Somalia, which the U.N. says has the highest rate of prevalence in the world. Ninety-eight percent of women between the ages of 15 and 49 have undergone FGM. The practice is legal in Somalia.
Worldwide, the World Health Organization estimates that more than 200 million women and girls have experienced some form of FGM.
This coming-of-age ritual can take several forms, from partial or total removal of the clitoris to the removal of folds of flesh around the vagina to narrowing the vaginal opening. The U.N. designates it as a human rights violation. But in societies where FGM is practiced, women who have not undergone the procedure may have a difficult time finding a marriage partner.
The earlier death in Somalia had prompted a strong response from the government.
Somalia’s attorney general Ahmed Ali Dahir announced that efforts would be made to prosecute the individual who performed the FGM procedure. Reuters has reported that Nuur’s family hindered the investigation by withholding information.
“Deeqa’s family seems to have held things back as they continue to believe that FGM is not wrong,” says Brendan Wynne, spokesman for Donor Direct Action, a U.S. organization that works with grassroots organizations that seek to eliminate FGM.
Nimco Ali is a British Somali activist who underwent FGM herself and has founded Daughters of Eve, a nonprofit group that opposes the practice. She wonders about the progress made by the Somali government since the announcement of the prosecution in July.
“I believe that the AG was doing this all for press. When the cameras are not there, I doubt there is much interest in the Deeqa case or any others,” Ali says.
“As [a] medical community, we are dismayed, disarrayed and shocked [by the] brutal action and the cold-blooded loss of our beloved daughters,” Aden writes in his email. “The cruel practice is deeply rooted and protected in our society. Believe me, we have to wage a war to eliminate it.”

Fgm probably makes the typical muzlim woman sexually numb and psychologically numb to their oppressors and world at large. This is by is lamic design, so that they are cowed into submission and therefore don’t make a lot of noise and rebel.

The failure on behalf of feminist groups to devote adequate attention to the Muslim rape epidemic and Islamic Female Genital Mutilation unveils the true face of what characterizes feminism – rampant hypocrisy and an agenda to downplay and dismiss genuine women’s rights issues that don’t fit into their warped paradigm .
The Left claims it opposes bigotry. Yet Islam, the most bigoted ideology that exists today, is given a pass./ is being promoted.

Millions of girls that have suffered from this barbaric procedure will when they have daughters insist that they undergo FGM. It is a vicious circle that will never stop and no cowardly European, Scandinavian or a British government will ever prosecute, although it is a crime, because Muslims get a free pass, as they must not be upset under any circumstances.

Is it not weird that a faith that worships an all powerful omniscient god decides it is necessary to cut bits off his/her creation? Surely if ‘god’ wanted to deprive women of sexual pleasure he/she could do so. BTW the Jews are also guilty of this lack of logic, but when has logic had any place in religions which are basically folk lore and primitive superstition

In Nigeria a few years back two muslim soldiers were holding a Christian schoolgirl up by her feet in front of her schoolmates. Another soldier with his sword split the child from crotch to head. They then asked the other children to convert ot islam!
