Thank you, Texas. Honor killing should be capital crime.
“I killed that bitch and you’re next. No one insults my honor as a Muslim and gets away with it.”
That was the chilling threat Ali Awad Mahmoud Irsan made to his daughter Nesreen after murdering her best friend, according to Assistant Harris County District attorney Tammy Thomas. Nesreen’s friend Gelareh Bagherzadeh was found murdered on the night of January 16th, 2012, in an alley near the Galleria section of Houston. (More here)

Gelareh Bagherzade was honor murdered because she encouraged her friend to marry Coty Beavers, the man she loved, a non-Muslim.

A Jordanian immigrant was sentenced to death on Tuesday after being convicted in what prosecutors described as the honor killings of his daughter’s American husband and an Iranian women’s rights activist in Texas.
Ali Mahwood-Awad Irsan was found guilty of capital murder last month in the 2012 fatal shootings of his son-in-law, Coty Beavers, and his daughter’s best friend, Gelareh Bagherzadeh.
Jurors in Houston deliberated for just 35 minutes – after five weeks of testimony – before reaching the verdict , and the sentencing phase of the trial took another two weeks.
Prosecutors say the 60-year-old conservative Muslim became enraged after his daughter, Nesreen Irsan, married Beavers, a 28-year-old Christian, and converted to Christianity.
Investigators said Bagherzadeh had encouraged Nesreen Irsan to marry Beavers.

Irsan’s wife, Shmou Alrawabdeh, testified at trial that her husband tried to ‘clean his honor’ with the killings.
Police said Irsan, his wife and their son, Nasim, followed Bagherzadeh to her parents’ home in January 2012, and that Nasim Isran shot her in her car.
Nasim Irsan is awaiting trial on a capital murder charge in the two killings.
Eleven months later, Ali Mahwood-Awad Irsan slipped into Beavers’ unlocked apartment near Houston, waited for his daughter to leave for work, then shot his son-in-law, according to Alrawabdeh, who testified as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.
Irsan portrayed himself as a devoted father who became upset after his daughter ran away from home. At trial, Irsan told jurors that he wasn’t involved in the deaths. He said his daughter had caused his family pain by marrying Beavers.
The daughter, Nesreen Irsan, testified that she had to obtain a protective order to prevent her family from harassing her after she moved out.
Alrawabdeh told jurors that her husband had also planned to kill his daughter.
Irsan, who is a naturalized U.S. citizen, was sentenced to federal prison in 2015 for scamming the Social Security Administration.

Finally, some good news for a change. Indeed, thank you Texas; so-called Honor Killing should be a Capital Crime. I, like many, excepting the Muslims, the Democrats and their allies, am sick of the mainstream media’s spinning facts or mitigating this and other heinous crimes by Muslims as no more than cultural diversity. Blaming us or other Western nations as the fall guys for not assimilating to Islam; thus causing some far-fetched psychosis on these maniacal Muslims.
The evildoer stated with an arrogance that may as well be a quote by Muhammad: “I killed that bitch, and you’re next. No one insults my honor as a Muslim and gets away with it.” These are not merely the words of this one man; it encapsulates Islam’s remorseless, inhuman ideology.
The MSM, the Democrats, Hollywood’s self-righteous elitists and every progressive will campaign to save this piece of filth’s life. I overlooked Pope Francis; he will become the murderer’s greatest advocate. Rumors are about that he has a direct connection to Allah and Muhammad.

This idea that criminals shouldn’t suffer or that this is a “cruel and unusual punishment” is insane.
It takes allot to earn capital punishment. What the VICTIMS went through was CRUEL, so why should I coddle the criminal? This sympathy for evil is something I will never understand.

Well said Ken. Particularly your analogy of us as Americans cringing in horror at a “president” like the Obamanation. But we none of us felt we should renounce our citizenship in reaction to him.

It’s hard to comprehend the grief and what the daughter Nasreen has been through, lost her best friend and then her husband within a year, both murdered. Now her father is slated for execution, her mother and brother also charged with murder. Gelareh Bagherzadeh’s family completely destroyed also. Muslim family values — beyond horrible and sad. Can’t imagine coping with all that.
