A new movement that started when a young gay hairdresser cut and video to explain why he was leaving the Democratic Party has really kicked off steam in recent times.
#WalkAway, as it’s called, has quickly taken social media by storm — and now, other young Democrats are starting to pay attention.
The video opens with Brandon Straka talking about how he used to be a liberal. And in the ensuing minutes, he explains why he no longer is, and why the liberal mindsent no longer suits.

The #Walkaway movement that began with a popular Facebook video featuring a gay hairdresser in New York City explaining why he was leaving the Democratic Party has quickly morphed into a major force on social media and beyond.
According to an article last Thursday in the Epoch Times, some five million people on Facebook and YouTube have seen the groundbreaking video showing a “very handsome gay man” who describes his awakening to the inanities of liberalism and the Democratic Party.
“Once upon a time, I was a liberal. Well, to be honest, less than a year ago, I was still a liberal,” begins Brandon Straka, the unlikely face of the new “silent minority” of Americans.
“I reject a system which allows an ambitious, misinformed and dogmatic mob to suppress free speech, create false narratives, and apathetically steamroll over the truth,” he says. “I reject hate.”
“These are the reasons why I became a liberal. And these are the same reasons why I am now walking away.”
Straka published his original #WalkAway video on May 26, and since then his life “has been overtaken by a tidal wave,” the Epoch Times reports.
The movement has been especially successful because its spokespersons have not been the sort typically associated with conservativism. Young and old, black and white, men and women, gay and straight—the campaign seems to elude stereotypes and pigeonholing.
The popular young conservative commentator C.J. Pearson, for instance, has given the movement a significant push by highlighting the Democratic Party’s racist past. “The Democratic Party is the party of slavery. The party of Jim Crow. The party of segregation. The party of the KKK,” Pearson tweeted Saturday.
“Democrats walked away from black folks long ago. Now, it’s our time to #WalkAway,” he added.
It is enough to search for the hashtag #WalkAway on Twitter or Facebook to see how the campaign has taken on like wildfire, spawning an entire cottage industry of personal testimonials and “conversion” stories of how people woke up to the false promises of liberalism.
And yet, according to Straka, this is “so much more than a hashtag on Twitter.”
“This is a testimonial campaign, a grassroots movement that is going to change the political landscape of this country.”
Some Democrats say they are still expecting a “blue wave” come November. If social media is any indication, there seems to have been a sea change.

DEMS are in a quandary. Notice how quiet Pelosi and Schumer are. They created this mindset – identity politics, freebies, redistribution of wealth, reverse discrimination, tax the rich, militarizing politics, normalizing corruption etc. and look what happened!
Democratic party establishment, TEN term, white liberal male, Rep. Joe Crowley of New York lost his primary election to a well to do, 28 year old, Bernie Sanders organizer, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, in the 14th District. This was NOT supposed to happen! The ELITE was supposed to represent the peasants. The peasants were supposed to keep the liberal establishment as their representatives. Cortez is basically a Communist as are other Bernie Sanders supporters. BTW she was woefully underfunded in her challenge to Crowley and had a tsunami win. So money spent doesn’t matter. Trump didn’t spend that much either compared to Hillary and he won. Trump spent allot of his OWN money to win.
DEMS typically have a united front and in most cases a united message. Their dilemma is how far LEFT should they go? Cortez is too far left for most people. DEMS know that. Should they diss her a FEMALE and a MINORITY that they always “champion”? Do they endorse her and run with her message? Do they fracture the party with different messages and step lightly on differences? Her win horrifies them. Ten termer, Crowley was in line as a possible replacement for Pelosi as speaker. This was not supposed to happen!

Oh hell no! That wall is going up no matter what the ignorant Left has to say! We Trump supporters stay silent most of the time but we show up to vote when the time comes. The stupid Left has their protests and signs trying to stop things like free speech or reversing the 2nd amendment while pretending to care about children and families at the border. Through OVERWHELMING the Southern BORDER regions, the nation of Mexico will be able to INFLUENCE local U.S. LAWS and OVERWHELM the local U.S. POLITICAL structures. The Ameri/Mex zone penetrates into the U.S. and provides a BORDERLESS opening for MIGRATION, TRADE COMMERCE and the EDUCATION of Mexican citizens through the UTILIZATION of U.S. SOCIAL and ECONOMIC SYSTEMS.
All of the long-held GRIEVANCES of Mexican nationals toward the DISPARITY of their level of POVERTY and the WEALTH within the United States and FIXED through this PLAN.
Within the plan AMLO ENVISIONS the U.S. TRAINING, EDUCATING EMPLOYING and eventually paying for a growing standard-of-living for Mexico. It is a fast way for Mexico to gain wealth; as OPPOSED to the long process of building out an entire societal system of education, investment, infrastructure and commerce. (The U.S. does it all for them.)
It would take Mexico several decades to achieve a level of wealth even close to the U.S., and they have NO structural (political) systems in place to form the foundation of such an approach. So, AMLO’s faster plan is to use migration into the U.S. to break down barriers, collapse the economic dam and allow the natural flood of U.S. wealth to flow INTO Mexico. (At our expense)
From the Mexican perspective this is a pretty solid economic approach that just might work; and they have OPEN-border comrades within the progressive, DEMOCRAT and REPUBLICAN corporate political systems (all over the U.S) who already SUPPORT such a strategy.
(Cheap labor – unskilled and skilled through VISAS)
So when you see the headlines about the Mexican President telling his people to leave; and when you see him telling government officials to formulate plans and policies to EXPEDITE entry into the U.S., don’t laugh them away. It is a VIABLE plan with just as much possibility of success as any other.

again, not to worry as canada is currently allowing them all free passage here as mohammad trudeau has removed the borders and all laws pertaining to them (except of course for we canadians who are held to the tax/tarrif laws and must be searched every time we cross) and all given the free life which is far better than the lives we working canadians live after paying all the taxes to pay for this trash coming to invade and overthrow. This is all so they will vote mohammad trudeau in next year even though none will have citizenship, none will have been vetted, none will have to provide i.d. or citizenship and none will have to show their faces!!!!! They don’t come much dumber or more cowardly than “canadians’ !!

I have to say, though, liberalism is a tremendous influence upon our society, especially its younger generation. I hope something will eventually come from this movement.
Liberalism can be attractive when you are young, but it is not the ultimate way forward — and I fear it comes at a heavy price which many do not understand.

The bitter truth is that all major political parties… have become nothing more than powerful and corrupt hierarchies… whose only goal is self preservation, like any disease on the body. They care nothing about the general welfare of the people, or even the ‘values’ they claim to value, one way or the other. They just use these things and other emotionally manipulative puppet strings and hot buttons like bait, to keep you charged and string you along… all for their own ends. Behind all of that are the global elites, pulling even those strings, that we call political parties. It’s the guy… behind the guy… behind the guy sort of thing. The agendas are set. They are just using the uninformed masses to ‘do their bidding’ marching towards these goals. I see it every day on the news. Erase borders, gun control, migrants (see borders), race, etc. etc. The best advice is to research and get the big (and real) picture and not be a pawn in their game. I have my values, but was not going to allow any party to hijack me or through any collective group I joined for their goals. It’s time to wise up.

Homosexuality is the antithesis of ‘conservative’. The exact opposite. They just want to be less evil. Most democrats in this movement are really libertarian in their beliefs. They think that being fiscally sound while liberal on social issues makes them conservative. It does not. You can’t be in two places at one time. They are centrists who straddle the fence, jumping onto whichever side benefits their ‘feelings’ at the moment, and loyal to neither right or left. You are either conservative, centrist or liberal. Liberals are to the left of center, everything after that is just descending degrees of evil.

I am a millennial, and I went to a very liberal private university for many years. Would I have voted last election? Perhaps not. But the extremism that lies in the thinking in many young Americans today is also troubling, do you know many students at my university supported the BDS movement and basically ignored Palestinian jihad? While they will not admit it, I think most of them do prefer Muslims over Jews if they had to choose.
Many Jewish students reported feeling deeply uncomfortable or harassed because of their identity and their beliefs.

I post a lot of articles by Pamela on Facebook. I know that they stay up for a while, but I don’t know whether or not they are eventually removed or hidden. It is very frustrating to know this. They don’t like free speech or truth because to them it is a threat to the community! They are crazy.
