‘They Spit When I Walked in the Street’: The ‘New Anti-Semitism’ in France

24

Another horror story about Jews living in Islamized France. Every day it is becoming more apparent that life for French Jews is untenable. The French government says that they want their Jews to stay in France. However, they are unwilling and incapable of confronting France’s growing Muslim population, because of the political consequences such a stance would bring them.

For example, in a city such as Marseilles, which is close to 40% Muslim, can one expect Mayor Jean-Claude Gaudin to have a strong stance against Muslim anti-Semitism? Absolutely not. How can Gaudin condemn much of Marseilles’ Muslim community for its anti-Semitism? He can’t. He would never be reelected. The French Muslim population’s massive voting power is what is preventing most French politicians (including President Macron) from condemning French Muslims for their violent Jew-hatred.

What is shocking is that much of the U.S Jewish leadership is condemning President Trump for his travel ban, which includes several Muslim/Jihad countries. One must question their sanity and agenda, since most of them know the consequences that mass Muslim immigration has had on France’s Jews. U.S Jews should be supporting the good President wholeheartedly, since he is preventing (or at least reducing) this horror from reaching the United States.

Israel must also do a better job of integrating French Jews (especially with medical degrees) into Israeli society. Many French degrees are not recognized in Israel. French Jews are being forced to deal with unacceptable levels of bureaucracy, (although improvements are slowly being made) before their professional credentials are recognized. This is causing many Jews to postpone their immigration to Israel and instead remain in France. It is outrageous for Israel to put French Jewish immigrants through such an ordeal. Most French Jews are very Zionist, and want to immigrate to Israel. The Israeli government must make it easier for French Jews to do just that.

“‘They Spit When I Walked in the Street’: The ‘New Anti-Semitism’ in France,” by Adam Nossiter, New York Times, July 27, 2018:

PARIS — The solemn boulevards and quiet side streets of the 17th Arrondissement in Paris suggest Jewish life in France is vibrant: There is a new profusion of kosher groceries and restaurants, and about 15 synagogues, up from only a handful two decades ago.

But for residents like Joanna Galilli, this area in northwestern Paris represents a tactical retreat. It has become a haven for many Jews who say they have faced harassment in areas with growing Muslim populations. Ms. Galilli, 28, moved to the neighborhood this year from a Parisian suburb where “anti-Semitism is pretty high,” she said, “and you feel it enormously.”

“They spit when I walked in the street,” she said, describing reactions when she wore a Star of David.

France has a painful history of anti-Semitism, with its worst hours coming in the 1930s and during the German occupation in World War II. But in recent months, an impassioned debate has erupted over how to address what commentators are calling the “new anti-Semitism,” as Jewish groups and academic researchers trace a wave of anti-Semitic acts to France’s growing Muslim population.

Nearly 40 percent of violent acts classified as racially or religiously motivated were committed against Jews in 2017, though Jews make up less than 1 percent of France’s population. Anti-Semitic acts increased by 20 percent from 2016, a rise the Interior Ministry called “preoccupying.”

In 2011, the French government stopped categorizing those deemed responsible for anti-Semitic acts, making it more difficult to trace the origins. But before then, Muslims had been the largest group identified as perpetrators, according to research by a leading academic. Often the spikes in violence coincided with flare-ups in the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, according to researchers….

Its a jihadi invasion and crimes go through the roof while police and politicians twiddle their thumbs.

And UN Supports Jihadi Invasion and Islamic Takeover of Non-Muslim Lands after rejecting Trump’s Nominee

All the U.N. wants is our money. They are purposely phasing out our influence.
So I ask, WHY continue to generously FUND them? It’s not working anymore.
Before our money would appease them. Now it doesn’t. The U.N. is dominated by Muslim sympathizers.

Sympathizers? The UN goes well beyond being merely a muslum sympathizing NGO, collaborating is the term you want.

The Jews of Europe will have to choose sides eventually…and as the Muslim population grows further, their lives will not get any easier.

There is no serious push back on anti-Semiticism by any EU leaders.

There will come a day when the French will wish the jews were still in France.
They have chosen evil over humanity, and the country will suffer because of that choice.

Succinctly well said. As you stated, “the dye has been cast.” Although there are some nations within Europe that now have come to recognize the disaster to their societies that the world of Islam represents, it is likely too late to save their cultures from being overwhelmed by the Middle Eastern vile culture that is Islam. We are not only seeing the cancerous killing off of France’s once free culture, but that is also happening in Britain, Germany, Austria and others, and I am afraid that their fate has been sealed. These nations forfeited their independence and culture because they opened their borders to a people who have no respect for others. TOO BAD!!!

The Jews are politically ‘expendable’ now. There about 10 million Muslims in France (illegals are greatly under-counted) and less than half a million Jews. That is 20 Muslims for every Jew.

The Jews are the bogeyman again since there are less of them.

Actually there are as many Jews in France now as there were before the Holocaust and they are a wildly disproportionatein representation in medicine, science, law, literature, art etc. etc. The French Jewish neighborhoods are the most vibrant and marvelous outside Israel – New York’s Jewish neighborhoods have been reduced to extreme chasidic ghettos. The destruction of this Jewish life in France will be devastating and a part of France will be gone forever.

If truly the Jews have so much influence, then they should make better use of it to protect their communities and hold the Muslims at bay.

Yes, they are an “allowed” target in political culture. Even when attending my liberal university, in one class, there were people making fun of Jews openly when the professor was away. But if it were Muslims, it would be unthinkable.

As a U.S. of A. citizen, I wonder when we are going to “invade” France again. I can see it now. We will be unopposed on the beach-heads but will be reduced to hand-to-hand combat in short order as we make our way toward Paris, getting bogged down here and there outside Paris, as we know there are concentrations of Sharia, having read all about it in the years preceding the conflagration.

My crystal ball is in the repair shop, FYI.

By the way, I do know what it’s like to be spat at: In the mid-80s a black man spat at me as I passed him, Poughkeepsie, NY.

No, it’s not shocking. Wayward, liberal, Jews have been like this for decades only it is more noticeable.
The majority of them are DEMS too. The ACLU is headed by Jews and now they have welcomed MUSLIMS in their organization. It boggles the mind. I don’t know what their problem is. .Are they self loathing? Godless? You tell me!

‘They Spit When I Walked in the Street’: The ‘New Anti-Semitism’ in France.’

“New” indeed ! The French have been anti Semites for centuries with only a slight pause during the era of Napoleon Bonaparte.
Have you never heard of The Crusades or The Dreyfus Case or The Vichy French or LaPen ?
