Shashi Naidoo is a South African model and actress. In mid-June, she uploaded a photo of herself with Black Coffee, a South African DJ. The was her first mistake. For she did not realize that because Black Coffee had performed in Israel in April, not only he, but anyone who dared to associate with him, would draw the ire of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (anti-Israel) movement in South Africa. She had done something scarcely forgivable, letting herself be photographed with someone who had performed before an Israeli audience.
But then Shashi Naidoo did something even more unspeakable. She answered those who had criticized her for having appeared in a photo with Black Coffee, posting online comments on Israel, Gaza, and Hamas. And worst of all, she told the truth.
The model rejected accusations that Israel was an “Apartheid state,” and argued that the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas was responsible for poor living conditions in Gaza.

This is how she put it, eloquently telling the world what all fair-minded people know, and what sent the BDS into paroxysms of fury:
“Hamas, the elected government of Gaza, which even Taz [presumably one more anti-Israel political group in South Africa] agrees is a terrorist organisation, refuses to acknowledge Israel’s right to exist and is hell bent on its destruction,” she noted during the exchange. “[T]his has been clearly articulated inter alia in its manifesto, on air by its leaders and by virtue of the fact that they indoctrinate their children to hate Jews, have monetary incentive programmes to kill Jews and celebrate [the] death of innocent Israeli men, women and children.”
All of which is true.
“Taz makes reference to Gaza being a ‘toxic waste dump’,” Naidoo continued. “No question Gaza is a sh*thole of immense proportions. Why? Because instead of using the millions of USD it gets in foreign aid to provide food housing, schools, hospitals and other infrastructure to help its citizens, it uses it to build terror tunnels and rockets to pursue its ambition of annihilating Israel.”
And that’s true, too.
Within a few hours of posting that, Shashi Naidoo received ten death threats. She soon went into quite a different mode, one of abject apology born of fright. She posted a tearful apology on Instagram. She hadn’t known what she was doing, she hadn’t meant it, clearly she had to learn more. A pitiable performance.
Then, this time sitting between two stern-looking Muslims, presumably from BDS, she tearfully apologized yet again. Real, not crocodile tears, for herself, for the death threats she’s endured, for the humiliation she has already undergone in having to publicly denounce herself and to take down her earlier post on Instagram:
“I’ve been very disappointed in myself for not knowing and being fully aware of what was happening in Gaza,” she said.
In her social media post, Naidoo had referred to Gaza as a “shithole” during a debate with an Instagram user. She later admitted — or claimed? — that her longer response had been “copied and pasted” from a friend who she thought had a more “educated” viewpoint.
Here is how she put it:
“I stupidly copied and pasted the response [of a friend] verbatim in a feeble attempt to appear smart on social media without reading it comprehensibly (I know), thereby entering an issue of world importance I had no real fundamental understanding of – my biggest mistake.
“Words will never be enough to express how truly sorry I am. It will be in my actions going forward that I do better.”
Was that true? Because what she posted was indeed an excellent and detailed response. It does not sound like something she would have thoughtlessly — “without reading it” — lifted from elsewhere. And even if she had copied and pasted it, it has the ring of expressing her sincere views. But what can she do? There are not only those death threats to consider. She has already lost a few jobs as a “brand ambassador” and “jewelry model,” and she’s no doubt worried about further damage to her career. So why not ascribe her posting to someone else, and claim her crime was one of thoughtlessness, when her real crime was one, precisely, of too much thought?
One acquires a sense for these things. To my mind, what she posted was eloquent and true and she meant every word, whether she or someone else wrote them. Now she is trying — understandably, forgivably — to save both her career and her life, and will say whatever the BDS bullies tell her to say.
Now she has promised to go — as her new masters insist — on a “fact-finding mission” to “Palestine.” There, guided by past masters in anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian propaganda, she will no doubt have her eyes opened to the endless cruelties of the neo-colonialist and racist Israelis, and to the endless sufferings of the “Palestinians” who want only to live in peace, and grow their olive trees, but the Israelis won’t let them. And Naidoo has promised to “report back” on what she finds. Well, with those death threats still fresh in her mind, what kind of report do you think she’ll deliver? It will be as fair-minded and judicious as BDS, or Mahmoud Abbas, or the ghost of Arafat, could possibly want.
In her tearful denunciation of her own self, Shashi Naidoo brought to mind the testimonies against themselves made by erring — i.e., “reactionary” — Chinese during the 10-year Cultural Revolution, or those earlier denunciations that Old Bolsheviks made against themselves as “capitalist spies” during the Soviet Purge Trials of the late 1930s, all of them reading from the same grim script, just before being taken out and shot.
Right now Shashi Naidoo has lost one job as a “brand ambassador,” and another as a jewelry model. But there’s no telling what further harm might be done to her career if she doesn’t do as the BDS enforcers require. It was a pitiful retraction. But can one blame her? Those who have never had to endure death threats from “Palestinians” or, for that matter, from other Muslims, might ask themselves what they would do in such a situation. These Muslim terrorists mean business. Not everyone wants to be a hero; a death sentence for writing the truth is not everyone’s cup of tea. And of course, Naidoo is a model. Killing her wouldn’t be necessary. A little acid thrown in her face, disfiguring this model forever — that’s also a possibility.
Whatever Shashi Naidoo comes back with from her trip to “Palestine,” after undergoing her forced “re-education,” will be understood to have been forced upon her under threat of death. No one of sense will believe what she says under these terrifying conditions. Meanwhile, the statements she originally made still hover in the truth-telling air. Once they were posted, these words could never really be made to disappear. She may have taken her first Instagram comments down. But they still exist permanently in the ether; screenshots can be taken; her words can still be retrieved and read by anyone. And they will always have the ring of truth because, of course, they are the truth.

Back in 1930’s the Nazis, actively supported by the islamists, started the ball rolling that crescendo into World War 2.
Compared to the era of Hitler Germany, what we are enduring today is something that is in a much bigger scale.

(These are my views as a woman living in England, on how the culture and spirit of my country has changed over 50 years. Why the country does not feel protected or strong any more, how it has lost, and is losing it values and decency, and how we are daily losing our free speech.)
Many British people, concerned about the state of our nation, mistakenly believe that it is the United States of America which has led the United Kingdom down a decadent road of destruction in relation to our moral values.
Believing that they have taken us away from some of our foundational roots which were once grounded in solid Christian principles, you can be certain when anything goes wrong, and when we see an increase in violence, an uptake in drug use, or a slide down a shady grey road of more promiscuity, there will be some who will point a finger across the Atlantic to where the pilgrim fathers once set sail and blame it all on the Americans. It’s easier that way.
Sure, we happen to have adopted an insatiable taste for your ham-burgers as well as a love for your westerns, and a penchant for the freedom expressed by a ride on a Harley Davidson along the open plains of an Arizonan desert; and for some, in more recent days, we have become decidedly taken by the messages that are being provided by American televangelists who have imported their best life now to our screens.
We have also willingly adopted the word ‘awesome’ and ‘sure’ and we interject the word ‘like’ into many of our sentences. Like we know what we are talking about. Yes, the yanks have a lot to answer for. But, ya’ll watch carefully now. British Values have not been tainted by America; they have been tainted by a non-judgemental multiculturalism which has been focused on changing attitudes and feelings towards others rather than valuing and protecting our own Christian heritage first. Leading and opening the door into our demise, has been the British establishment themselves, supported by some leaders in the Anglican Church. We have been considerably polite to everyone else but have never stood up or set boundaries for ourselves.
To my knowledge, America is still a few years behind us attempting to stem off the tide of destruction against the same formidable enemy affecting all areas of the American way of life.
An American reaches England
Over the years I have been very fortunate to meet people from America who are still standing up for the truth. In fact, it was almost 20 years ago when I found myself very alone in a church which was sliding down the road of complacency that friendship and help came from what we also once called a bright light on a shining hill. America. It was a strange experience at that time to find myself working in a traditional parish church yet finding the confirmation of the truth which was being revealed to me via correspondence and telephone calls, from America. God has mysterious ways of answering prayers, but he surely sent a friend one day from the best place there is.
Consequently, over the years it has been of tremendous relief to visit American sites such as News with Views and also make friends with other like-minded searchers of truth. Some of the greatest encouragers that I know have always come from America.
I possess a beautiful Ryrie Bible which unexpectedly arrived in the post one day some years ago from Kelleigh Nelson who writes for this site, and as a result of my writing have also made a few friends across the UK who have also become very disillusioned with the church and the state of our country.
Today, many British people will still find either their information, or their confirmation, revealed to them from the more honest and inquisitive minds of America. Many Americans still highly value their independence and their right to speak up and speak out, to a much higher degree.
Recently, I was also able to also meet up with a minister and his wife from Perry in Georgia, Wayne and Linda Edwards from Heritage Baptist Church.
Through mutual connections he was able to come and visit people here who basically no longer belong to main stream religion and find themselves holding small house churches, or else they are walking alone. The book of Revelation may refer to them as the remnant.
I cannot speak personally for him, but I do believe he was very sad to see just how far we have declined in this country, most especially when the UK used to produce some of the best Christian witnesses and inspirational speakers there was, such as C. H. Spurgeon, William Wilberforce, William Tyndale, C.S. Lewis, David Livingstone, and of course the Mayflower Pilgrims.
Today, for the best part, the Christian church has become very weak. Of what is remaining, we have the architecture, the stained glass windows and selective words from the bible, which can sound very beautiful, but they have lost the spirit of truth. Many ministers cannot see the truth, or else they possess no courage to speak the most difficult parts, which spoken without love or understanding sound harsh, and as a consequence have isolated true believers and damaged many lives with its lies.
Consider, since 2001, in the capital alone over 500 London churches of various denominations are now private homes. In the area where I live myself there are 3 small chapels which have now become recently converted, and some years ago I shopped at a large Sainsbury’s supermarket which was once called St George’s church. (St George was executed for refusing to make a sacrifice in honour of pagan Gods) There is a loss of respect for the Christian faith as the solid stability it once provided, crumbles.
London however, has over 423 new mosques and many stand on the site of former Christian churches. In a suburb of Birmingham, which is the second largest city in the UK, it is an Islamic minaret which now dominates the skyline calling people to prayer every day through loudspeakers.
Multiculturism accused of being the actual threat to Islamic terrorists is really a friend to a growing religion in the UK.
But ‘hey’ let’s still blame it all on America!

British activists who see the America president, Donald Trump, as a threat to all things liberal and multi-cultural in the United Kingdom have decided to make their own personal statement in the skies when he visits this once great country in July this year.
It is reported that already over $14,000 has been raised to inflate a large ‘Trump Baby’ balloon which features an inflated oversized baby Trump wearing a diaper. They believe that this represents all of Britain looking down on him and laughing at his over-sized ego.
How wrong and how childish can people be? However does this represent a majority of people who are living in denial about the state of our nation?
Of those who know about the stint, over 9,000 people have now signed a petition calling on London mayor, Sadiq Khan to allow the balloon to fly. The plea reads:
Donald Trump is a big, angry baby with a fragile ego.
He’s also a racist demagogue who is a danger to women, immigrants and minorities and a mortal threat to world peace and the very future of life on earth. Moral outrage is water off a duck’s back to Trump, but he really seems to hate it when people make fun of him.

Silent No More
Travelling home on the train after meeting with Wayne and Linda Edwards and my friends, I reflected on the years since God first spoke to me in his still silent voice when I was all alone in a world of chaos in a small parish church. He has consistently revealed things to me which have gone against all I was ever indoctrinated in to through believing lies and liberal propaganda.
The train journey took twice as long as expected. A person who was having a particular bad time had decided to take his life on the rail track that day. I started a conversation with a young man from the army who carried my case and shook my hand when he left, and I later spoke to an elderly English lady who was returning home to New York on the Queen Mary from Southampton. She jokingly told me she had originally gone to America to learn them to speak English. Yeah.
As the train commenced its journey, I eventually watched the patchwork green fields of England whiz past the train window once more and thought about all the people I’d met and heard about just in one weekend, I wondered how after God had helped me so much I could ever stay silent.
Despite hardship and suffering God gives us peace and a certain quiet joy when we adhere to the truth. You can always respect another’s traditions but you can never let them displace you. Displacement is the key issue in the battle for our souls.
Wayne Edwards spoke on how the bible relates to the time period and the events taking please, in relation to where we are in history at this current time. I did not understand a lot of the interpretation of this but could see without a doubt just by looking out of the window the truth of all this.
It is now so evident to see just how far the UK has declined you wonder how people can still rejoice over a multi-cultural society.
Despite these days, and the relationship with the timelines of the bible, America and the UK should never stay silent. We should still always have hope and speak about it. Let’s always talk about it.
Lives depend on it.

It I so important that we encourage others in the faith, and I want you to know that I found some in your words. Thank you. Our times are more perilous than most of us would suspect. As I see it, it’s not that God is absent from our lands, He would never be, it is more that His once bountiful blessings, the blessings that made the UK and the West the great nations they once were, are ours no more. As nations, we embraced humanism and rejected our foundations and our God. We made vile practices a common, everyday occurrence and every aspect of our society was affected. What began as a trickle has now become a flood in both the extent of our rejection of Him and the subsequent torrent of evil. Such evil could not flourish, as it has, in a nation under God’s blessings. I believe the remnant of the faithful and God’s timing and plans for the US, kept the likes of Clinton out for now, but sadly, it will be short lived. This ” judgement ” we see happening is not just for a nation. It is not to restore the people’s focus and hearts back to God. The evidence is overwhelming that His final judgement has begun, and although it won’t be pretty, it promises something much better for those who are His in Christ. Be well and of good faith and remember , He has overcome the world.

That is a really big call. Maybe they have threatened her family too. Easy to say from behind a keyboard, but try and imagine your response with a knife at the throat of a loved one. No matter how saddened we might. feel for her retraction, we should not judge her. Some will be stronger than others,but she has made a valuable contribution. Certainly far greater than anything I have done against this evil.

I`ve stated many a time that if one of my family,friends,their family is harmed by a moslem,I`ll consider every moslem I see, responsible, regardless of age or sex..I`ve said it in public and on line. Moslem, don`t mess w/me.Take your islam,allah,muhammad,and your unholy koran, and shove it up your unwashed backside of your front.

A popular actress,played an Israeli in a TV program. She was even invited to Israel for a visit. Then, she quit the program, leaving her fans and cast members very upset. When interviewed, she said it was because of script problems, and “political things”. Perhaps there were those who did not like her favorable portrayal of an Israeli, and told her to stop. Or else?

EVERYONE knows Palestinians have brought this upon themselves. We tried helping them but they don’t want help. NO, they just want Israelis gone so they can turn on each other and make it like the old ways again.
However, the MSM won’t tell you this either. Without a common phony enemy like Israel they would be KILLING EACH other.
They should get on their hands and knees and thank an Israeli they are keeping the peace among themselves by just being there and apologizing for their phony efforts to kill you.
