Record 155,576,000 Employed in June; 10th Record for Trump
By Susan Jones | CNS July 6, 2018 | 8:40 AM EDOn Friday, the Labor Department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics said the economy added 213,000 jobs in June, a strong number; the number of employed Americans, 155,576,000, set its tenth record of the Trump presidency; but the number of unemployed Americans (which includes people who are actively looking for jobs) increased by almost half-a-million. The unemployment rate increased two tenths of a point to 4.0 percent.
In June, the nation’s civilian noninstitutionalized population, consisting of all people age 16 or older who were not in the military or an institution, reached 257,642,000. Of those, 162,140,000 participated in the labor force by either holding a job or actively seeking one.
The 162,140,000 who participated in the labor force equaled 62.9 percent of the 257,642,000 civilian noninstitutionalized population, a slight increase from last month’s 62.7 percent.
Overall, the labor force participation rate has been trending down since its record high of 67.3 percent in the first quarter of 2000.
According to the Congressional Budget Office, “A lower labor force participation rate is associated with lower gross domestic product and lower tax revenues. It is also associated with larger federal outlays, because people who are not in the labor force are more likely to enroll in certain federal benefit programs.”
While the participation rate remains stagnant, the number of Americans not in the labor force – those neither working nor looking for a job – remained stubbornly high last month, at 95,502,000, partly because members of the Baby Boom generation are retiring in increasing numbers.
This number has increased seven times since Trump took office.
Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rates for adult men (3.7 percent), adult women (3.7 percent), and Asians (3.2 percent) and Blacks (6.5 percent, up from a record low of 5.9 percent) increased in June. The jobless rate for teenagers (12.6 percent), and Whites (3.5 percent) showed little or no change over the month.
In June, a record 27,077,000 Hispanics were employed, and the unemployment rate for this group, 4.6 percent, has never been lower.
Average hourly earnings for all employees on private nonfarm payrolls rose by 5 cents to $26.98 last month. Over the year, average hourly earnings have increased by 72 cents, or 2.7 percent.
The change in total nonfarm payroll employment for April was revised up from +159,000 to +175,000, and the change for May was revised up from +223,000 to +244,000. With these revisions, employment gains in April and May combined were 37,000 more than previously reported.

“almost biblical”. God is sovereign and works in ways we are not meant to understand so that we will revere him, as the Teacher tells us in Ecclesiastes. The Donald is a crudester on his 4th wife, probably not a guy you would want your son to emulate, but is a man for his times. We and the free world needed a street-fighting, thick-skinned American man in the white house in 2017, and we got one. May God bless, lead, and protect him

Did you know YOU too a sinner short of the glory of God? Did you know that? “ALL” includes YOU. And yet, here you are…judging others for their sins when I know for a fact that like Trump and I, you have sinned too. Ironically Trump is very clean or Mueller would have found something….Women threatening celebrities is nothing more than a nuisance lawsuit and typically paid off to avoid embarrassment whether the allegations are true or false.
Maybe you and I don’t have three wives but we have other sins. It’s those other sins that make us unworthy. ANY sin separates you from God. ANY SIN! So that means YOU are no better than Trump on God’s scale. God’s scale is perfection and the one that counts the most – not our mere mortal standards for sins… I’d say Trump has done more than you or I to redeem himself and still you use a mortal scale to diminish him. I wouldn’t have the audacity to do that. I am so grateful despite my and his imperfections he won and is doing the right thing. I’m not sure I could handle the 24/7 abuse he endures and still does the right thing. God stepped in and allowed him to win.
Also, are you as CRITICAL of YOURSELF as you are of Trump? I doubt it. You’re too busy believing your shiiiit doesn’t stink. I’d bet you are the kind the automatically goes to church every Sunday feeling totally superior to other “sinners” with your nose up in the air. Honestly neither I nor does President Trump need your “blessings”. I am so tired of people like you, holier than thou, not giving others second or third chances in life and always quick to point out indirectly they are SUPERIOR to another sinner. Do take this personally. Congratulations, it is people like you that turn other people OFF from Christianity. If Trump is on your personal shiiit list, I must be even lower.
I am totally tired of people trying to QUALIFY why they like what Trump is doing but they are so much better than he is and need to make that clear. You will find the Trump is the one targeted the most for that and yet, even Mueller with his rabid team of lawyers can’t find anything on him. I just don’t feel the need to APOLOGIZE for my Trump support. He’s doing the best job he can under the circumstances. Few in D.C. are supporting him and helping him get the agenda he promised done. I’m grateful for whatever he can do to restore our country.

The peasants are supposed to be DEPENDENT and ENSLAVED to the government. They are to HATE capitalism. Capitalism is not fair. There are winners and losers in capitalism and ALL outcomes are NOT equal. This will also enrage the social justice warriors where ALL are supposed to have the SAME income and then life is “fair”.

Yes, Demnocraps do everything possible to make sure you are NEVER independent from them. They NEED you to survive, hence they raise and Raise and RAISE your taxes on everything.
I use to tell everybody if you want BUSINESS TO BOOM all you have to do is cut taxes down to less than 10% on everything and you’ll see the biggest BOOM you ever saw.
