Here’s a shocker: ISIS wives, it seems, aren’t happy withh their jihadi husbands and have been divorcing them in droves and fleeing back to their home countries.
Imagine that — the world’s most misogynistic and violent religion can’t keep the women happy?
But the numbers don’t lie.
Iraqi statistics show that women who are married to ISIS jihadis have been filing for divorce in large numbers lately.
From Breitbart:
A growing number of wives married to Islamic State (ISIS) jihadis are filing for divorce from their husbands as members of the terror group are being forced out of the areas they once controlled.
Iraqi Deputy Justice Minister Hussein Jassem told NBC News that there had been a large uptick in divorce filings over the past three months, and most of them are from women dissatisfied with their husbands.
Jassem said that while the government has not kept track of how many of those divorces were ISIS related, he noted that a majority of the requests originated from Sunni Muslim regions where the terror group had a strong showing.
Umaima, one of the women filing for divorce, married her then-husband Awad 13 years ago when he worked as a car mechanic. But Umaima soon realized Awad traded his tools to become a terrorist fighting for ISIS.
Awad first joined ISIS in 2014 to “take revenge” on Iraqi security forces who accused his brother of being a terrorist and tortured him to death, said Umaima, who only provided her first name.
“My husband got mad and he swore he would take revenge on his brother’s killers,” Umaima told NBC News.
Authorities arrested Awad and imprisoned him for his crimes, which come with the possibility of a death sentence or life in prison. At that point Umaima decided to ditch her husband even though divorce is frowned upon in her community.
“Being the wife of a terrorist is not honoring me or my family and it is not going to honor my kids,” the single mother of three said. “I was and still am disappointed because I married a man who didn’t appreciate his life and decided to join a terrorist group instead of taking care of his family.”
Umaima added that she vowed to be a father figure as well as a mother figure to her young children to make up for her husband’s absence.
Fatima, 35, also decided to leave her husband when she learned her husband joined ISIS after fighting for the Iraqi army as a soldier.
“I am afraid of being accused that I support terrorism, and this is one of the reasons that drove me to ask for divorce,” said Fatima.
Although more conservative sects of Muslim frown upon divorce, it is mostly accepted in Iraq and not considered to be sinful under Islam.
Iraqi women are allowed to file for divorce for several reasons, especially if their husbands are convicted of crimes or if there is evidence their husbands have mistreated them.
Women who make their cases for divorce do not have to hire lawyers but must provide sworn testimony from witnesses to support their claims.
The terror group’s influence is waning as more ISIS leaders are being captured and killed. The terror group announced this week that Hudayfah al-Badri, the son of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was killed fighting Russian and Syrian troops.

ISIS wives, it seems, aren’t happy withh their jihadi husbands and have been divorcing them in droves and fleeing back to their home countries.
I suspect many of these women would have been content with their situations had the cause their husbands embraced been victorious and they could have enjoyed the spoils that accompany victory in jihad. Now that ISIS has been reduced to a shadow of its former “glory”, well, gee, it just seems to have lost its appeal.
Anyway, what’s with this women filing for divorce anyway? Islam makes no provision for this, does it? Is Iraq being run by infidels ( …. maybe even Joooos)?
I spoke with a guy from Moracco a while back; he said that their breed of liberal politicians have started pandering to woman to permit them to independently file for divorce. I was suprisrised no one seemed to be taking on the pol’s.
What kind of women would want to join the Islamic State in the first place? It is partly thanks to liberalism that so many Westerners hold this distorted, glamorized view of Islam and some women are attracted to it.
R, this article addresses women in Moslem countries, not moon-struck Western women thrill seeking with the mob.
Oh, I see, I read Pamela’s statement: “Here’s a shocker: ISIS wives, it seems, aren’t happy with their jihadi husbands and have been divorcing them in droves and fleeing back to their home countries.” And so I assumed they were the Western women who converted to Islam.
I agree, it’s less than a model of clarity, but in fact it didn’t speak about Western women. I wouldn’t doubt such cases exist though- cue that American woman in Texas whose husband was killed in, I believe, Iraq.
Perhaps you can enlighten us what the ‘glamourized view’ of Islam might be. Anyone who can read can easily find out what Islam is like for the female gender.
Everyone loves a winner, no one loves a loser. Or, perhaps they just didn’t like being treated like chattel….
IOW, they’ve had a taste of freedom and respect for their persons and also have the freedom to leave.
Hardly surprised by the divorces, Why would any woman wish to be or stay a wife & doormat of an ISIS jihadi? They rape young captive non-Muslim girls & probably quote the Qur’an during it.
They divorce the ISIS fighters because they lost, because they are losers. If ISIS fighters had won, those ISIS wives would have been all over them, no matter how many sex slaves they had and how many kufar women they had raped.
shitslam sucks donkey nutz
Any woman who has anything to do with Islam is a complete moron.
I see, in your (rather silly) book, Phyliis Chesler is, or was in her younger days, a “moron”. Have a look in a mirror, bub. Then see if you can come to terms with this species called homo sapiens.
Maybe you should look in the mirror to see what an islamic apologist/sympathizer looks like.
Idiotic comment- I do not “sympathize” with Islam, although I may sympathize with Moslems.
Your inane criticisms of my positions are never specific- vague, general disparaging fluff is more your stock in trade. But insight is beyond your ken.
LOL, what’s the difference maroon? Muslums are the only people who practice the faith called islum.
I love all of humankind, of every color and stripe. I hate rats, cockroaches and moslems. Dr. Chesler found out, the hard way, what it was like to marry an afghani moslem.
Tom Lehrer:
“I know that there are people who do not love their fellow man,
and I hate people like that!”
Agreed. I love all mankind too. It’s the people I can’t stand.
There are some people, with which I disagree. There are some people that I dislike. However, I hate rats, cockroaches, and moslems.
I had an old girlfriend once who would say whenever she was frustrated or disappointed, “F*ck everything and f*ck everybody.” There are times I can wholeheartedly sympathize with that sentiment.
At least they won’t have to continue using “Eau de Goat’s Ass” douche to smell acceptable to their husbands.
Bwhahahahahahahahahahaha, the wives must provide “sworn witnesses” to their testimony to support their claims as to why they want to divorce their muslum man masters and that’s called “enlightened”? I’d like to hear what defined reasons they must have for divorcing their man masters as well.
A long period of secular Saddam dictatorship included more liberal laws on divorce for women and they still seem to be part of the law.
Secular eh? I wonder if Saddam enforced islamic blasphemy and heresy laws?
No doubt there are a lot of Isis widows. They will find new terrorist thugs to breed with. Islam is very sick.
I would not easily allow these woman to return home to what ever country especially to the West to pick up Social Services and still could remain dedicated Jihadi. They made their choice in marrying and going with one.
They should all be charged with terrorism or as Jihadi sympathizers. If they married one of these inbred POS savages, then they should either be in prison for years and years or preferably executed along with their brainwashed kids, who will be a danger to society in years to come.
See, that proves what I have always said, the leading cause of divorce is marriage.
A stupid comment which not surprisingly given the intellectual level of many comments here, got up 12 votes.
What you should have said was any woman who VOLUNTARILY has anything to do with Islam etc. You should know that the overwhelming majority of Muslims gets no choice in the matter but are branded like calves at birth with the the Muslim brand, indoctrinated as soon as they can talk and threatened with death, even from their relatives, if they have the mental strength to try to cease being a Muslim.
Why did those bitches marry them in the first place. I never heard of a woman getting a divorce from a Muslim jihadist. Look at the picture below, this is what happens to them when they try.
Lysistrata Islamic Style???
Don’t trust this for a second.
