Iran President Hassan Rouhani, in what must go down in history as one of the most disingenuous moments of all time, said his country has always maintained great relations with the Jews of the world.
In fact, Iran has been so friendly to the Jews that Iranians even sheltered them in Babylon — and because of that, Jewish people owe Iranians a big debt of gratitude, he said.
Rouhani also said his only goal in the Mideast is to bring about peace and stability, not war and strife.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani claimed that Iran has always had close — and very good — relations with the Jews of the world.
At a press event with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, Rouhani said that it was “Zionists, as an occupying and unjust group,” who are persecuting people, imposing a siege on the people of Gaza, bombing innocent civilians, and — in a most ironic statement — intervening in Syria.
“The Iranians have sheltered the Jews in Babylon, so they are always indebted to Iran and the Iranians,” Rouhani told the news conference.
Bizarrely, Rouhani is quoted by Iranian media as saying, “Our ultimate goal is to bring security and peace in the Middle East.”
For his part, Kurz said in front of Rouhani that he considers it “absolutely unacceptable” to question the right of Israel to exist, or call for the state’s destruction — as well as to deny or minimize the Holocaust, as Iran has done numerous times.
All of this came as a Vienna-based Iranian diplomat was arrested for his part in planning a terror attack in France against an anti-Iran rally.

Can’t U see Rouhani smiling with eyebrows up? That is usually a sign he is stating something he deep down thinks is a joke! The joke is there are so many nonMuslim folks who will genuinely believe his joke!
Now Persia had a great, relationship with Jews in its history when it wasn’t Muslim! What does that say? The Persians were an advanced people who founded their own religious belief systems of Manicheism & Zoarastrianism! The last Shah of Iran promoted good relations with Israel. Definitely shows that the Persians changed as their governments became more devout in their Islamic practice or Sharia compliant doesn’t it?
Kudos go to Mohammed_Goldberg who points out a really perceptive truth in the post below mine! Fact is pro-Israelis get raped and killed by the defenders of Sharia (a US Envoy experienced that in Libya under Obama) in as consistent a manner as the policies of the Islamic nations operate to show tolerance to nonMuslims even in nonMuslim countries which is again consistent with their following Sharia Law!
