New asylum rules approved by GOP and Democrats would give right to migrate to US to a population at least half the size of the American Midwest

59

Here is yet more reason why President Trump is right: we need a border wall. The border is, aside from everything else, a national security issue. Flooding the U.S. with massive populations from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador will mean bringing in an inevitable number of gang members, and that will mean more crime and more needful deaths in the U.S. The United States does not have any obligation to take in anyone who is having difficulties from anywhere in the world. These insane asylum rules must be stopped immediately.

“Asylum Rules Would Allow Migrating Foreign Populations to Fill Half of Midwest,” by John Binder, Breitbart, July 26, 2018 (thanks to Todd):

New asylum rules approved by the GOP majority and Democrat minority House Appropriations Committee would give the right to migrate to the United States to a foreign population at least half the size of the American Midwest.

Story continues below advertisement

Two asylum rules pushed by Rep. David Price (D-NC) as well as Rep. Kevin Yoder (R-KS) and approved by the GOP-majority House Appropriations Committee would allow foreign nationals seeking refuge in the U.S. to migrate based on claims that they are fleeing domestic abuse or gang violence.

The asylum standards would be a direct rebuke of Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ efforts to strengthen the country’s lax asylum system. He made clear in a memo that claiming to be fleeing domestic abuse or gang violence are not legitimate claims for asylum in the U.S.

The Republican establishment and Democrats’ reversal of Sessions’ memo would give the full populations of Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras the right to migrate and seek asylum in the U.S., as all three Central American countries have been crippled for years by gangs.

As Breitbart News noted, this translates to about 32 million Central Americans being given the right to migrate. This would mean a foreign population about half the size of the American Midwest — where 67 million Americans live — would have the right to come to the country and permanently resettle.

That foreign population given the right to migrate to the U.S. would at least be 12 times the population of Chicago, Illinois, and more than 35 times the population of Columbus, Ohio.

Kansas Secretary of State and gubernatorial candidate Kris Kobach told Breitbart News he “can’t believe” any Republican lawmakers would support such a plan to expand asylum and essentially give foreign nationals the right to migrate to the U.S.

“This completely destroys the normal definition of asylum,” Kobach said. “Asylum is for people being persecuted.”

“Asylum would become meaningless and rampant with fraud because anyone can say that they live in fear of gang violence,” Kobach continued. “This would be a colossal mistake for Republicans to support this.”…

This is the potentially Catastrophic language from the Appropriations Committee Approval of Fiscal Year 2019 Homeland Security Funding Bill

“Rep. Price – The amendment expands asylum status definitions to include “credible fear” as an established reason for asylum, which would include threats of gang and domestic violence. The amendment was adopted on a voice vote.”

https://tinyurl.com/2019-HLS-Funding-Bill

This under the Radar BS, could be an existential (political and physical life itself!!!) Check Mate (For Ever!!!) Victory for the Democrats!! A Deceive / Terminal blow to our Republic in our life time (Democrat POTUS as soon as 2024, maybe even sooner…) and for generations to come in perpetuity… Or until a second bloody Civil War will come about for a last ditch effort to rebuild a Great America, yet again…

Any Patriotic American MUST give an earful via letters / e-mails / demonstrations / vocal complaints to GOP Patriots (e.g. Freedom Caucus etc) the White House!!!! And of course to the ALL the following TOTALLY MISGUIDED or Traitor stealth RINO’s on this important sub committee

Homeland Security Subcommittee Republican Members:

Kevin Yoder, Kansas, Chairman
John Culberson, Texas
Chuck Fleischmann, Tennessee
Andy Harris, Maryland
Steven Palazzo, Mississippi, Vice Chair
Dan Newhouse, Washington
Scott Taylor, Virginia

PLEASE! Give all of these RINO clowns on the HLS Subcommittee nothing less then HELL and sound the alarm to anyone (friends / family / state GOP / DC GOP / National Conservative organisations etc) that is committed / loyal to Trump’s Historic MAGA Grand Plan which is literally saving America from the brink of “progressive” / Islamic / Socialistic DOOM!

US Senate MUST crush this abomination!!

I have said all along, both parties are equally beholden to Islam. Bush Sr and Dubya were considered almost Saudi Royalty. Getting bought off to sell out the American People is neither Republican or Democratic issues, they are problems with foreign money in politics paying off our politicians that already have w/ Pay To Play ingrained in them and selling out constituents every chance they get.

The foreign NGOS donate to the companies who have an understanding of the policies they are to support, it is nothing short of nefarious that our elected leaders have become the enemy of the constituents that voted them in.

Trump is not the enemy, he is currently our only hope as real “republicans” are already paid off, as are all democrats.

Trump does need to trust his gut, listen to some of his campaign speeches, and remind himself why he said he was running to be President in the first place, and the actions he would take.

Swamp has not been drained, but its population has been multiplied.

So far Trump has accomplished this:

http://www.magapill.com/

Too much stuff to be listed. I am impatient too but I recognize reality.

Of course there is lots to be accomplished but you do realize there has been decades of CORRUPTION and giving our country’s wealth away by both parties? That doesn’t change over night and even tougher when you have the swamp fighting it.

You are correct. One of those principals to be accomplished remains the issue of what constitutes appropriate immigration policy. The dogma of “open borders” and “giving me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore,” of the 19th century are concepts that may not be applicable to living in the 21st century. We are today living in a world where many people on this planet are saddled with beliefs that disable them from assimilating into our society, as was not the case with the immigrants who came here in the 19th century and early in the 1900’s and after WWII. We may no longer be able to afford the costs of allowing in immigrants who cannot carry their own weight, or lack the industry to even try to do so. While I recognize that the immigration law will likely still allow those who are in danger in their own lands to emigrate here, I respectfully believe that we no longer can allow an open ended policy that is without taking into consideration not only why these people come here, and why they have not considered alternative places to emigrate too, and to simultaneously consider whether they can assimilate and are not influenced by any belief system that might promote or prompt violent conduct. We must all tell these things to our reps in congress and see that they present a comprehensive legal system that involves immigration, that makes sense in these difficult times.

“Asylum”, “refugee-resettling” and “immigration” are three different topics, all with their own guidelines. Let’s not mix up the topics…

Dennis

Reply to  John Flynn

From my perspective they all mean the same thing, and that is entry into the U.S.A. My point was that we need laws that will cover the why they want to come here, whether there are other places that might be better as their new homes, whether factors such as what they can contribute to society ought to be considered, and whether their culture will allow them to safely participate in what being an American is all about, and whether, like prior immigrants, they can responsibly assimilate into our free world societies. All those things, and possibly others need to be contained in any laws that are passed. I recognize that this might be a monumental task, but from what I see happening in Europe, I truly believe that our immigration system needs to be fixed and that those type of factors must be considered.

Dennis, my immigrant wife (who just became a citizen this year) and I maintain that while immigration, itself, is important to our country, “refugee resettlement” should be ELIMINATED (we’re following UN guidelines on refugees, NOT to our advantage). “Asylum” is a process where the USA should be more selective and careful as to whom “asylum”
is granted. When one wants “asylum” he should request it in a US embassy or consulate and, in only isolated cases, in the USA itself. Visas, depending on the type of visa, should be eliminated. The visa process is, today, handled by immigration. Phase out visas, in general, and ENFORCE expiration dates for visas…..BUILD THAT WALL, Mr President!

Refugee resettling should be off the table entirely. Asylum should be severely limited and thoroughly vetted, and immigration should be “individually considered, legal, and merit based ONLY”. We have enough garbage here already, and enough poverty, low skill, and those who just plain want to live off the gov’t. Non-assimilators and those wanting Sharia law, should be promptly deported. Enough is enough. If the politicians want a Civil War, they may just get one.

It is not only that many of today’s invaders are somehow disabled from assimilating, many just don’t want to and feel that we owe it to them to accommodate them. As far as the Muslim invaders they are here not to assimilate and embrace our values, but rather to infiltrate and change us from within. The hijrah (immigration jihad) is about conquest.

I guarantee you Trump sorely regrets choosing Jeff Sessions as our AG. He is doing the best he can. What would you like to change? I’d like to get rid of Jeff Sessions! What he would have to do is fire him or get him to resign and have his choice CONFIRMED by the swamp! That position could remain empty for his first term. The mantra there is to RESIST and the GOPe is helping that effort.

Trump is keeping the promises that he can. He can’t DEMAND wall funding. He had difficulty with his travel ban that other Presidents used. Trump has a tough job. I ma pleased with the tax cuts, the economy, the tightening of asylum rules and what ever deportations he can get through. I’m glad the Obama mandate is gone for Obamacare.
You have to understand Trump has little to no support D.C.. People understand that. Trump is not a dictator.

So what would you like to hold his feet to the fire?

He can use executive orders like Obama did. Yes, wall funding is difficult. On the other hand, or example, Trump has on numerous occasions talked about ending the immigrant diversity lottery program, which is a very bad and dangerous program, but it is still in effect. That, for example, is something that he could easily end by way of executive order.

Working for a travel company, I spend a lot of times at airports and I see the same shenanigans I saw under Obama and Bush. The more Islamo-3rd World the “travelers” (as in invaders), the more bags and boxes they have. I just don’t believe the Muslim family of 10 with at least 18 large boxes and bags is really here for a 7-day trip to Disney World. I talk to the guys who work immigration, and it is a sham.

The truth is BOTH parties are complicit. The Freedom Caucus does try to restrain them and stop them.
It is Trump against the swamp and the world for that matter when it comes to trade.
What I have to say is totally DISGUSTING but for the midterms you have to vote GOP even if it is for a RINO!
The DEMS will undoubtedly IMPEACH Trump if they have the majority. A RINO or a GOPe won’t do that.
Impeachment doesn’t have to be for wrong doing. It can be POLITICAL and that is how DEMS will use it.
These aren’t “scare tactics”. It is the truth. If DEMS have the majority they will ROLL BACK everything Trump has done. You will get tax increases, ICE may be abolished. OPEN BORDERS and MASS IMMIGRATION and never ending MUSLIM refugees will be the norm. Our country will transform into a “sanctuary” country. I am not kidding you. LOOK at what the DEMS are pushing and tell me it doesn’t match up to what I said.

You’re right to be concerned, but the Republicans will not, in the end, support this proposal.

I admire Trump, but let’s face it – Trump can’t even manage his own Justice Department.

This is not to suggest he is not a man of some talent – he is – but one man, even in the presidency, is not enough to hold back the flood.

And like the Bushes, in a different way, Trump is probably in over his head..

So, if Trump is the only force holding back the deluge, it’s time to consider an ark.

GOP Rep. Yoder Offers Green-Card Giveaway to 200,000 Foreign College-Grads
By Neil Munro
27 Jul 20182,730

Kansas GOP Rep. Kevin Yoder engineered a committee vote in the House which puts 200,000 Indian visa-workers on a fast-track to green cards and citizenship, despite the growing economic impact of visa workers on American college graduates.

Yoder’s Indian-giveaway amendment was approved July 25 even without an on-the-record vote by the GOP-run House appropriations committee, and it is being applauded by tech firms which prefer to hire cheap Indian college-graduate workers instead of young American graduates.

Current federal immigration law sets “country caps” to spread the distribution of the 140,000 green cards which are allocated to employers. Yoder’s amendment kills those 7 percent country-caps as “national discrimination” and allows the huge backlog of more than 300,000 Indian visa-workers — plus a similar number of family members — to jump to the head of the green-card line. Once the Indians jump to the head of the line, people from other countries are pushed into a wait of at least five years.

We need the border wall, but we can’t have the border wall be the main issue on immigration since a large percentage of invaders actually enter the U.S. by way of airports, and these are the people who are the most dangerous. They enter legally through tourist visas, student visas, questionably obtained employment visas… and never leave. We need comprehensive immigration enforcement that goes far beyond just the wall.

The more of these sell-out punk congress people that support these fiascos the more the people and the POTUS must fight back. Many older citizens have told me up front that they are glad they are on their way out instead of their way in and are very sad for their grand children.
On another note, if these parasite invaders that just crashed out borders with “their anchor kids” are allowed to say here then the next wave sure to come in within a year from now. We all know who pays for these parasites until the patience and money runs out.

How many of you have read Revelations, Daniel, and Ezekiel? The Great Harlot, that sits on many waters, is us. She’s standing in NY Harbor, not far from the UN. How we burn, is up for debate, right now. Supervolcano? Civil unrest? Nuke? It doesn’t matter, we are still toast. We have spread our pornography, sacrifice of the innocent to Molech (abortion), and secular humanism, across the globe, under the banner of political correctness. Our “leaders”, or is that losers, have all sold us out, for their own selfish reasons. They will soon learn it wasn’t worth it.
So, with that in mind, where do you want to spend eternity? Smoking or non-smoking?
Most people don’t want to hear about the end. Guess what, your opinion doesn’t matter to God. Only your allegiance. You either enter with the forgiveness, that Jesus paid for, or you don’t. No middle ground. No pergatory, to work off sins. (Sorry Catholics, that’s a lie). There are no PC hearings, about your sexual orientation, bad upbringing, “I’m a muslim, therefore I’m certifiably insane”, or any other excuse. Those that wish to picket God, may wish to pack an asbestos sign. Oh, right, there will be no light to see your sign, in utter darkness.
And I’m sugar coating it!
And, while I’ve pissed off the Catholics, let’s not leave the Evangelicals out. You self righteous, ” I’m getting raptured out of this mess, before it gets bad” ” Name it and claim it” fake gospel hypocrites, are going to find out that they will have to endure, what the original Christians went through. Your pastors are snake oil salesmen. No wonder God will deal with us. He destroyed Israel, several times. He allowed this country to exist, and prosper, when we believed in him. Now that most don’t, he doesn’t believe in us. We kicked him out of our schools, government buildings, and in many cases, our churches. Churches are now social clubs, with few mentions of who God is. How many times do you see a Bible anymore?
If a church actually does teach sound Biblical doctrine, they are bigots, homophobes, haters, etc. That’s probably the one you want to attend. Unless it’s those idiots from that Baptist Church that hates soldiers.
Ok, ok, I’ve vented enough. Just think about it, and use that flaccid piece of meat, between your ears. Common sense ain’t common anymore.
Neither are honest politicians.
