Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez said candidates like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the socialist who just won her New York primary, are the future of the Democrats’ party.
In other words: Socialism is the Democratic Party’s future.
That figures. The Democrats have been socialists for some time, only they’ve called themselves progressives instead.

At least they’re finally coming out of the shadows and admitting what they are — a group of victim card-throwing, entitlement-minded, lazy and angry dredges and drains of society, living only to take from others and profit from the hard work of their neighbors. Or: socialists.

The chairman of the Democratic National Party, Tom Perez, on Tuesday said socialist political candidates like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are the “future” of the party.
Ocasio-Cortez, a self-described “democratic socialist” who defeated a top House Democrat in a recent primary election, symbolizes where the party is headed, Perez told “The Bill Press Show.”
“I have three kids. two of them are daughters. One just graduated college, one who is in college – and they were both texting me about their excitement over Alexandria because she really – she represents the future of our party,” Perez said.
Perez said he had “great respect” for Rep. Joe Crowley, D-N.Y., who unexpectedly lost his primary race to the 28-year-old newcomer last week. “He’s a good Democrat … he’s fought the good fight.”
The Obama-era Cabinet official said Ocasio-Cortez and Ben Jealous, a socialist running for governor in Maryland, are examples of “spectacular” candidates the party believes represents its future.

Agree 100%. That’s why all these “peaceful demonstrations” instigated by Soros’s servants are very danger. Somebody should start to care about it. It’s well above the First Amendment. They physically attack conservatives working for the Government. Why nobody was arrested so far? Imagine what would happened if the same bizarre was inflamed around obozo?

IF my political instinct is correct, the recent victory of the young Cortez over a white male {and stale} “Democrat”
signals the coming of a big change in the politics of America, the new scene is going to resemble much more closely the situation we have in the UK and upto now, throughout western Europe.
I’m talking here of the “pussy hat” generation who with their teachers and Uni staff, hate Conservatives and Trump so much they’re looking to build a political revolution that will rubbish all the once unquestioned norms of principled political American opposition. This will include the constitution itself with it’s emphasis on individual freedoms and obligations. I can see everything Conservatives value being reexamined and viewed through new prisms as to whether there can be any tolerance for most of those “outmoded white supremacist” notions and political norms.
The young {and not so young} progressives are thirsting for change and with this recent victory under their belt will field more revolutionary socialists of the “Sanders” type but much younger, politically idealistic clean skins.
Many of them will look to Maduro in Venezuela for inspiration, the “purity” of his politics outweigh {for them} the catastrophic results he’s achieved. America is staring at revolutionary reform including more political violence.

It’s been over forty-five years since I read it (I believe it was around 47 years ago).
Those, on the left, looking for “Utopia”, obviously have NEVER read it.
It was written, and initially published, in Latin. I read a translation. It’s a good read, I should dig it out and read it again.

I have always believed that debate, as
long as it is non-violent, is healthy and I enjoyed reading the expressions of
opinion expressed to my initial commentary. I generally agree with the reply
comments made, but I do know a number of people of the Islamic persuasion who
are today friendly. Unfortunately, I recognize that Islam does promote and
preach violence against ALL non-believers of their religion, and their conduct
of those who accept those directions as acceptable has caused me to become
admittedly “Islamophobic.” Yet, I do not accept the definition that
my Islamophobia is irrational. Contrary to how other religions conduct themselves
today, Islam remains directed to violence, and their people and religious
leaders and politicians refuse to acknowledge that their belief system is
poisonous. As a result, I responsibly believe that they must not be allowed to
promote their violent beliefs anywhere, any more than we would allow speech
that would preach or promote violence against any people, as we have seen with
the Nazi’s, Fascist’s, Communist’s and others who would support maliciousness
and violence, which we now see being expressed by those liberals and some
democrats who are going far beyond free speech when they propose
“physical” harassment and violent protests against those of us that
do not agree with their ultra-liberalism, hand out philosophy, open borders,
and willful suggestion that ICE be terminated. This last position of
termination of a lawful police force, would be like suggesting that city and
county police forces be terminated, opening the door to all kinds of problems,
and we know what would happen then. I am sick of these loonies inane
suggestions, and I hope that our rational leaders and electorate will see the
light.. We just cannot let that happen. I feel very strongly that we ALL need
to adopt that view and act affirmatively to avoid these crazies, who, if they had
their way, would turn this nation into a third world country, allowing us to be
overwhelmed by their off the chart beliefs.

Much of these comments are perfect examples of just how dumb a portion of Americans really are. They don’t realize there’s a difference between Democratic Socialists and socialism. And the author of this article knows that these people are dumb enough to think these Democrats are talking about socialism when they’re actually talking about a thing called Democratic Socialism.

Thank you for the interesting post. But I assume you’ve misunderstood me. If you read the book “The City of Sun” by Tomasso Campanella (“La Cita del Sol”), you would understand what I’m talking about. In fact this book was written before Thomas More’s in 1506. Commys took this book for their basic explanation of the Communism. And the term the “Communist Utopia” come out of this delirious “masterpiece”. Campanella didn’t consider his novel as the Utopia. The critics named it as such. This book describes the theocratic society, where goods, women and children are held in common. This is the base of the Communist’s Tesises, used by Karl Marx.
