This is a breaking story and details are sketchy. But it was clearly deliberate, contrary to the statement of the Mayor of Moscow — watch the video and see. And vehicular jihad is called for by ISIS and other jihad groups. The driver in this case is from Kyrgyzstan, a mainly Muslim ex-Soviet republic. And ISIS just called for attacks on the World Cup in Russia.

MOSCOW (Reuters) – A taxi drove into a crowd of pedestrians near Moscow’s Red Square on Saturday, injuring eight people including two Mexicans in the city for the soccer World Cup which Russia is hosting, officials and eyewitnesses said.
The incident took place as residents and visiting soccer fans thronged the center of Moscow on a balmy summer evening.
Moscow’s traffic management authority said the taxi driver had a driver’s license issued in Kyrgyzstan, a mainly Muslim ex-Soviet republic. It cited the driver, who was in police custody, as saying he had not driven into the crowd on purpose.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in a post on Twitter: “There was an unpleasant incident with a taxi. The driver lost control of the vehicle.”…

I first saw this in the sun uk newspaper. No mention of his being muslim and it was clearly emphasized he lost control of the vehicle , and struggled to control it. However , viewing the video his intentions are clear , hopefully the major of moscow will issue a public correction of his previous statement. Lets wait and see

There are about 20 Millions Muslims in Russia. A huge percentage of them lives in Moscow. BTW I can’t recall when did Putin tell there are no Muslims in Moscow?

To compare Russia and USA it’s like to compare day and night. America is an amazing unique country, which could be even better without the criminally insane DamonCraps. It’s a country of the opportunity, liberty and freedom of speech (so far)
Russia is still underdeveloped, rich of the natural resources country of the suppressed liberty, freedom of speech, terribly antisemitic and corruptive from the top to the bottom. Most people nowadays are considerate enough to assist law enforcement officials in such matters. I don’t think we should treat those that don’t as pus-ies but seriously as criminally negligent. My only concern is if there are terrorist sleeper agents hidden in the crowds or even sympathizers willing to lend physical assistance to jihadists.

vehicle.”…Well, of course, it was “unpleasant.” I’m sure when all the info gets out and a THOROUGH investigation is conducted, the officials will learn that the driving standards in Kyrgyzstan, are far different than they are in Moscow. A misunderstanding. Case closed.
