The left certainly outdid themselves last week. From activists chanting “shame, shame, shame” at DHS secretary Kirstjen Nielsen in a DC restaurant and Time Magazine’s deceitful cover, to former Sex and the City actress and current New York gubernatorial candidate Cynthia Nixon calling ICE a “terrorist organization,” liberals really went into overdrive. Were they trying to call attention away from what should have been a bigger story?
Nearly lost in the cacophony was the testimony of former Obama administration cyber security coordinator Michael Daniel before the Senate Intelligence Committee, confirming that he was told by Susan Rice to “stand down” in his efforts to thwart Russian meddling in our 2016 election.
The FBI had recently begun their counterintelligence investigation into Trump’s possible collusion with the Russians. If administration officials were so worried about Russian influence, why would they issue such an order?

Although Hillary had a significant lead in the polls at that time, they still needed to lay the groundwork for what FBI official Peter Strzok referred to as their “insurance” policy. Considered in this context, the order starts to make sense.
Strzok sent the following text to FBI lawyer Lisa Page, his paramour, in August 2016.
I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office — that there’s no way he gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk. It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40.
“Andy” refers to former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe who denied participating in such a discussion when questioned by Inspector General Michael Horowitz (IG). Strzok claims McCabe was there.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) wants to know which one is lying and asked the IG, as he testified before Congress last week, to “hand over” the pertinent documents, saying:
I believe it would be of grave consequence if the Deputy Director of the FBI met with the lead investigator of the Clinton Email and Russia investigations to talk about ‘an insurance policy’ against Donald Trump’s victory in the 2016 election. That would show bias and inappropriate behavior at the highest levels of the FBI.
Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) also questioned the IG about the insurance policy.
Mr. Inspector General, that is two weeks into an investigation, and he is talking about taking out an insurance policy because he can’t fathom the target of his investigation possibly becoming the president.
Finally, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) asked the IG about it.
I think a lot of regular folks would interpret that as more than just casting a cloud on what the FBI ultimately did. I mean, it’s one thing to say ‘Trump’s an idiot’; it’s another thing to say, ‘We’ve got an insurance policy.’
Journalists Michael Isikoff and David Corn co-authored a book entitled “Russian Roulette: The Inside Story of Putin’s War on America and the Election of Donald Trump. The book made the claim that Susan Rice, obviously acting on Obama’s behalf, issued the stand down order in August 2016, shortly after the Obama FBI had opened their investigation into possible collusion between then-candidate Donald Trump and the Russians, and at the same time Strzok was texting Page about the insurance policy. Excerpts from The Daily Caller’s report follow:
Daniel was developing strategies to respond to Russian cyber attacks on U.S. companies and political campaigns. He proposed using what’s known as denial of service attacks to take down Russian propaganda news sites and to attack Russian intelligence agencies.
Another idea was to announce a bogus “cyber exercise” against a Eurasian country. The goal was to put the Kremlin on notice that it’s infrastructure could easily be targeted by the U.S.
Rice opposed the proposals, according to “Russian Roulette.”
“Don’t get ahead of us, ”she told Daniel in a meeting in August 2016, according to the book.
Daniel informed his staff of the order, much to their frustration.
“I was incredulous and in disbelief,” Daniel Prieto, who worked under Daniel, is quoted saying in “Russian Roulette.”
“Why the hell are we standing down? Michael, can you help us understand?” Prieto asked.
Daniel confirmed the exchange on Wednesday, during a round of questions from Idaho Sen. Jim Risch.
“That is an accurate rendering of the conversation at the staff meeting,” he testified.
“You were told to stand down, is that correct?” Risch, a Republican, asked Daniel.
“Those actions were put on the back burner, yes. That was not the focus of our activity during that time period,” Daniel replied.
He noted the White House cybersecurity team did continue working to respond to Russia, but with a smaller staff and a less aggressive approach.
“It’s not accurate to say that all activity ceased at that point,” he said, declining to describe the activities in an unclassified hearing.
Coincidence? Every step ever taken by the Obama administration was calculated and deliberate.
If Obama and his advisors were so concerned with Russia’s interference in our presidential election, which was well known to them long before that time, why would they put the brakes on attempts to stop it?
This was the administration whose motto was, “Never let a good crisis go to waste.”
Did Obama and his team see an opportunity to frame Trump for colluding with the Russians? Could this have been the genesis of the “insurance policy?” Yes and yes.
By August 2016, Obama’s FBI had already applied to the FISA court once (unsuccessfully) for a warrant to surveil low-level Trump campaign advisor Carter Page. They hired Stephen Halper, a Cambridge professor “with deep ties to American and British intelligence,” to interact with Page, advisor George Papadopoulos, and Trump campaign co-chair Sam Clovis. His efforts, particularly with Papadopoulos, amounted to entrapment.
In addition, FBI investigators:
Issued national security letters to gather records, and unmasked the identities of campaign officials who were surveilled. They also repeatedly leaked investigative information.
Built a narrative of Trump-Russia collusion, a group of government officials sought to bolster Mrs. Clinton’s electoral chances and, if the unthinkable happened, obtained an insurance policy to cripple the Trump administration with accusations of illegitimacy.
Perhaps most telling of all is Rice’s remark, “Don’t get ahead of us.” Why not Susan? Because they might interfere with the administration’s methodical plan to frame, and then destroy, Trump?
Unethical and, in many cases, illegal behavior became the norm among Obama’s top officials. Their hatred of Trump and their inability to accept his victory blinded them to the impropriety of their actions. The magnitude of their corruption is breathtaking, but slowly the truth is being revealed.
As one humorous reader recommended, let’s round up all the bad actors from the Obama administration on the same day and hold them without bail. Then we can have one big show trial like Nuremberg for crimes against the citizens of the United States.

When is the DOJ going after Obama, Susan Rice, Valerie Jarrett, Comey, et al, or will they not suffer any consequences because the are “so special”??? “So special” in terms of pure unadulterated EVIL! I see signs of treason by the Obama administration.

Eight Years of Obama’s Weakness Toward Russia
During eight years of former President Barack Obama’s weakness towards Russia, the country invaded Ukraine, annexed Crimea, propped up Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, and interfered in the 2016 election.
At the beginning of his administration, Obama and his administration were eager to “reset” the United State’s relationship with Russia. The reset began with the infamous photo of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton presenting Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov with a red “reset” button in 2009. One of Obama’s first foreign policy decisions was to scrap missile defense in Poland and the Czech Republic, which prompted celebration in Moscow.
In addition to scrapping missile defense, Obama announced in 2010 a historic Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) treaty with Russia. The agreement was supposed to reduce the number of nuclear weapons held by the United States and Russia by a third. Over the course of the Obama administration, the Washington Free Beacon reported numerous violations of the START treaty by Russia as early as 2012.
Obama was caught on a hot mic in 2012 telling then-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to give him “space” and that he would have more “flexibility” on missile defense after being reelected.
President Obama: “On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved but it’s important for him to give me space.”
President Medvedev: “Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you…”
President Obama: “This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.”
President Medvedev: “I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir, and I stand with you.”
During the 2012 election, Obama mocked his opponent, Republican candidate Mitt Romney, for his comments about Russia being the “number one geopolitical foe” of the United States.
“Gov. Romney, I’m glad that you recognize that al-Qaida is a threat, because a few months ago when you were asked what’s the biggest geopolitical threat facing America, you said Russia, not al-Qaida. You said Russia … the 1980s, they’re now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because, you know, the Cold War’s been over for 20 years,” Obama said in the third presidential debate.
Democrats and some in the media joined in on Obama’s mocking of Romney’s Russia comments.
From 2014 to 2016, Russia appeared to prove Romney’s comments right. In 2014, Russia-backed separatists invaded Ukraine and Russian President Vladamir Putin annexed the Crimean peninsula. Russia has defended Assad in Syria and even deployed members of its military to the region. Russian forces attacked U.S.-backed rebels and the Kremlin has provided cover for the Syrian government use of chemical weapons.
The Obama administration and Democrats bragged from 2014 to 2016 about removing chemical weapons from Syria with the help of the Russian government, until it was determined the Syrian regime again used chemical weapons on its own citizens.
Obama continued to dismiss the threat Russia posed and called the country a “regional power.” Meanwhile, top military officials testified before Congress, stating Russia was the number one threat to the United States.
In 2016, Putin interfered in the U.S. election despite a stern call from Obama telling him to “cut it out.”

You’ve forgotten Obama’s 2009 speeches to Turkey’s parliament and then to the Muslim world from Cairo. In Cairo Obama insisted that members of America’s primary enemy, the Muslim Brotherhood, including it’s then leader, Mohammad Morsi, be present when he made his speech. His speeches were laced with a pack of lies about Islam’s role (in fact non-existent role) in America’s creation and development. It was pure fabrication, but no American academic or journalist of any standing ever challenged the pure rubbish Obama delivered. This was testament to the cowardice and dishonesty that no grips much of America today. In a letter I asked Harvard’s David Gergen to explain this disgusting failure by academics, but he never responded.
Then we had Obama’s utter policy failures in Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt, Syria, Iran – his worthless ‘red line in the sand – and his phony pretenses of fighting ISIS while ISIS savagely murdered thousands of Christians, Yazidis and other non-Muslim minorities. While accepting Muslim migrants he refused and returned Christians to their death in Syria. Thus Obama is nothing more than a piece of filth and vermin – and those who surrounded him no better.
Through his direction the coalition air force ‘fighting’ ISIS in Iraq and Syria was rendered largely impotent. Returning home pilots have told of returning to base with ordnance, bombs and rockets, still on board after being denied – by American officers ‘directing’ the campaign – to drop their bombs or fire rockets on ISIS targets. The Russians wiped out entire ISIS convoys and the United States did precious little.
When Nigeria asked Obama for assistance and equipment, not least attack helicopters to fight the murderous Boko Haram Muslim savages, he refused on the grounds of Nigerian Army ‘human rights abuses’. Could the Nigerian army’s abuses even remotely equate to those of Boko Haram? Not in the slightest, but once again Obama favoured and defended Muslim savages. His rules of engagement against Muslim enemies in Afghanistan and Iraq (and no doubt elsewhere) were testament to his treachery. Hence why so many American soldiers died in Afghanistan after Obama replaced George W. Bush.
And I haven’t even got into his mess in Iran. Barack Obama was a total incompetent and is a miserable traitor – and yet he walks free and continues his treachery!

Egypt , Libya , the Ukraine and Syria were conflicts deliberately started by the passed presidunce with help from donors such as Soros . The present day invasion of western Europe is their reward .

You are right and it’s astounding watching America slowly disintegrating through the treachery of Obama’s mob of crooks and liars in league with a now rotten, corrupted FBI and totally impotent and corrupted DOJ. This is banana republic stuff – enthusiastically supported by a mostly totally rotten media. A nations throws out the values that include honesty and integrity, and this what it gets. Susan Rice like her former boss, Obama, is an arrogant and miserable deceiver who desperately needs to be brought down to size, so when is the axe finally going to fall? Is the system now so corrupt that their treachery will go unpunished?

I don’t view it as disintegration. It is rather a shock therapy. We trusted our government, our media, our FBI. We thought that democrat party is still a party of JFK and Rinos are just a bunch of nice patriotic gentlemen. Trump exposed them all. They are all corrupt lefTrash. It is time to roll-up the sleeves and get to work. We can fix it, if we do it systematically. Free yourself by denying them any power over you.
