Michigan Muslim candidate for Governor El-Sayed touts his doctor credentials — but he never practiced medicine

Deception, deceit (taqiyya) and a media hungry to promote the lies in the cause of islamization.

Is Michigan really going to do this?

El-Sayed touts his doctor credentials — but he never practiced medicine

Chad Livengood, Crains Detroit Business, June 10, 2918:

Story continues below advertisement

Abdul El-Sayed has made his doctor credentials the focal point of his campaign for governor, offering a “Medicare for all” state-run health insurance program last week as the prescription to fix what ails the state”s economy and people.

But El-Sayed is not licensed to practice medicine in Michigan, according to state records, a fact he tends to omit from his resume in campaign literature, in which he uses the professional title of “physician.”

On the campaign trail, in published commentaries and at debates with other candidates vying to be Michigan’s next chief executive, El-Sayed, a progressive Democratic firebrand, routinely talks about being a doctor and has made strong suggestions that he has practiced medicine.

“I’m a doctor,” El-Sayed said during the May 31 bipartisan gubernatorial debate at the Mackinac Policy Conference. “I’m the only person up on this stage who has had to deliver a diagnosis — and then watch as somebody had to worry about how they were going to pay for it, let alone what the treatment was for that ailment. That should never happen in Michigan.”

Abdul and notorious antisemite and sharia promoter Linda Sarsour.

El-Sayed made similar comments about diagnosing ailments in a June 6 speech in front of the Spirit of Detroit statue, where he laid out his vision of a single-payer government-run health insurance system that abolishes premiums, copays and the need for the Blue Cross Blue Shields of the world to exist.

“I’m the only person running for governor who has had to look somebody in the eye, deliver a diagnosis, and then realize that their worst day that week wasn’t the day they got their diagnosis,” El-Sayed told supporters. “It was the day they realized they didn’t have the means for payment for their care.”

Columbia University records show El-Sayed graduated in 2014 with a Medical Doctorate degree from the prestigious Ivy League school. Before med school, El-Sayed earned a doctorate degree in public health from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes scholar.

El-Sayed says he worked as a sub-intern during med school at NewYork-Presbyterian’s Allen Hospital near the Bronx, where he treated patients as part of his study of medicine.

“My job was, in effect, to be the junior doctor who took care of the patient,” El-Sayed said in a June 1 speech in Southfield, where he detailed his “Michicare” single-payer plan.

As part of their education, fourth-year medical school students go on rounds with attendant doctors in hospitals.

“But you don’t do diagnosis — you’re still a student,” said Mohammed Arsiwala, M.D., a Livonia internist and president-elect of the Michigan State Medical Society. “You’re under supervision. You can’t do patient management.”

Arsiwala, a member of the Michigan Board of Medicine, the state’s physician-licensing body, thinks El-Sayed is walking a fine line in publicly presenting his medical credentials as a candidate for governor.

“Once you finish medical school, you can call yourself a doctor,” Arsiwala said. “But if you’re not practicing medicine, I don’t think you should call yourself one. If you don’t have a license, how are you going to call yourself a doctor?”

El-Sayed dismisses questions about his use of the terms doctor and physician.

“I have a degree that’s called a Medical Doctorate, which makes me a medical doctor,” El-Sayed said in an interview with Crain’s. “People are going to try and chip away, they always do. That’s the nature of politics.”

At Allen Hospital, El-Sayed said, he found medical treatment limiting in addressing the underlying causes of poor health — factors like the air they breathe, their socioeconomic upbringing and the lack of responsiveness from their government.

El-Sayed recalls in campaign stump speeches finding one HIV-stricken patient he had spent weeks caring for in the hospital on a subway car one night and making a decision to rescind a hospital residency application and instead pivot to public health scholarship and, eventually, advocacy.

That led El-Sayed back to Detroit in 2015 to become the city’s health department director at age 30 (Because El-Sayed was not actually a licensed physician, the city had to hire Joneigh Khaldun, M.D., to be Detroit’s chief medical officer, city spokesman John Roach said.).

In Detroit, El-Sayed oversaw rebuilding the department after the city emerged from bankruptcy. At times, he found himself at odds with his boss, Mayor Mike Duggan, over the impact of residential water shutoffs on public health and whether housing demolitions stirred up toxic lead in the air that Detroit children breath.

“I think there’s a lot of ways that one serves as a physician. And I think the work that I have done and I continue to do is true to the core and the ethos of medicine,” El-Sayed said in an interview. “And when I took my Hippocratic oath, that is still an oath that I use to guide my work today. I’m a physician because I have an MD, but I’m also a physician because of the work that I’ve dedicated my career to.”

Whether it matters that the doctor never practiced medicine clinically is up for Democratic voters to decide in the Aug. 7 primary.

But one could argue El-Sayed’s campaign literature showing him wearing a doctor’s white lab coat is akin to graduating from law school and presenting yourself as an attorney — even though you never took or passed the bar exam.

Gretchen Whitmer, the Democratic Party establishment’s favorite for the gubernatorial nomination, has had a license to practice law in Michigan since November 1998, according the State Bar of Michigan. But we almost never hear her say, “as an attorney” in talking about issues she champions. Ditto for Attorney General Bill Schuette, the Republican front runner for governor.

Maybe that’s because society views doctors in higher esteem than lawyers — or journalists, for that matter.

On the stump, though, El-Sayed comes across as the most credible top candidate for governor when it comes to health care policy issues because he frequently reminds voters that he’s, well, a doctor.

And that fuels the fight he’s asking voters to let him wage against “CEOs from multibillion-dollar corporations” — words he increasingly uses to refer to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and its CEO, Daniel Loepp — without distinguishing himself from the kind of doctor who sees patients every day and the kind who got a medical degree and studies public health.

“They’ll tell you it’s impossible, you can’t do it,” El-Sayed said in Southfield about his single-payer health care plan. “Well, if you take a paycheck from Blue Cross, you can’t do it. But I’ll tell you, as a doctor, it’s definitely possible.”

Per USA Law, those who advocate violating the US Constitution and supplant it with some other legal system are subversives and can be removed from the country.

Therefore, by definition ALL muslims can and should be removed from the country as they Subversives and their Sharia law is Sedition.

If we had a functioning DOJ and functioning legal system designed to protect Americans there would be no muslims remaining in the USA.

With single payer, research goes away and care declines. The UK has it. NHS is a failure. It becomes a shoddy one size fits all. It never works out well.

In 2007, I had my spine sliced and diced. The Cleveland Clinic Spine Clinic is open two days a week, at the main campus, and two days a week at Euclid Cleveland Clinic. When pulling into the parking lot … over one third of the license plates were Canada plates. Oh …. I imagine they love the drive and paying out of pocket, when they receive SO much better care in New Sweden (formerly Canada).

Thanks for your concern, felix1999. I’m right as rain as any old fart deserves to be. I have a friend, in New Sweden (formerly Canada), whose wife’s been battling cancer. She’s recovering quite well, although each year, some treatment and/or medication gets “delisted”. It’s quite a struggle. Moreover, this is the real crux of New Sweden’s healthcare. A few years back, he went to the emergency room with chest pains. They told him he needed to set an appointment with his PC … the ER did NOTHING. So, he schedules and appointment, ten days out. He sees her and she schedules some test at some other facility. He has the tests performed and a pathologist review. He’s told he needs three stents. Four months later, the stents are implanted. As you’re aware, in the US … he’d have been tested and rushed to an operating room … they’d not have let him leave … stents that same day. In New Sweden …. How he didn’t die is quite the question …. ER to operation … almost six freaking months. Ain’t that a kick?

Through social circumstance I know a lot of physicians, Plenty of doctors aren’t involved directly in patient care and so have no need of a license the lack of which certainly doesn’t mean they’re not up to date, are any way inferior, or don’t know what’s going on in healthcare. Comparing medical education to law is spurious–laughable, actually. More worrisome is that, by the look of things, he seems to have fundamentalist traits at odds with integration..

Actually doctors are very involved. It is the nurses that carry out most of the work. I meet directly with my doctor and we cover options etc.. If the doctor is not directly involved then I question that…..The final decision is between the patient and the doctor.

A different subject. Lots of docs don’t need a license (a bit of a expensive racket like a lot of the fees doctors in direct contact with the public must yearly pay.) For example, many head up research projects or take positions in a bureaucracy. It’s a valuable degree leading to lots of options.

No, I don’t want to change the subject.
For a PHYSICIAN to practice medical care in the U.S. a license is REQUIRED, otherwise you will be sued. Criminal and civil penalties will apply WITHOUT EXCEPTION for a physician!.

To head up research you don’t need a medical license. You do need to go through other hoops. Bureaucrats don’t need a medical license.

What a load of crap!

WHY would anyone be interested in another form of imaginary healthcare? It didn’t work with Obamacare.

“I’m the only person up on this stage who has had to deliver a diagnosis — and then watch as somebody had to worry about how they were going to pay for it, let alone what the treatment was for that ailment. That should never happen in Michigan.”

Really!

“But you don’t do diagnosis — you’re still a student,” said Mohammed Arsiwala, M.D., a Livonia internist and president-elect of the Michigan State Medical Society. “You’re under supervision. You can’t do patient management.”

If he can’t diagnose, then how can he state he’s seen people struggle to pay medical bills? There is no such thing as a “junior doctor”. There is something called an intern.

Then this:

“El-Sayed recalls in campaign stump speeches finding one HIV-stricken patient he had spent weeks caring for in the hospital on a subway car one night and making a decision to rescind a hospital residency application and instead pivot to public health scholarship and, eventually, advocacy.”

So he NEVER finished his RESIDENCY? He is not a doctor!
At best he is a public advocate for SINGLE PAYER HEALTHCARE that we just witnessed doesn’t work! Are the people out there is DUMB to be fooled again? This one has a slippery tongue.

This guy is full of crap. He is NOT a doctor.
To be a U.S. DOCTOR you must do THIS and be licensed by the U.S.
At best he is a wanna be doctor that went into advocacy without a license.

1. Earn a Bachelor’s Degree (often pre med) 4years

2. Take the MCAT (Medial College Admission Test)

3. Enroll in medial school 4 year

A Doctor of Medicine (MD) program is four years in length, and combines academic coursework with clinical training. The first two years of the program will teach you about several topics, including medical laws and ethics, microbiology, anatomy and physiology. The final two years require you to practice in clinical rotations. These rotations, completed under the supervision of doctors, will expose students to areas involving surgery, pediatrics, internal medicine, psychiatry, gynecology and obstetrics.

Medical students will be expected to choose internships that focus on a specific specialty. This will help them get into a residency program. The internship is often completed during the summer between the third and fourth years.

4. Step 4: Complete a Medical Residency

After graduating from medical school, aspiring doctors must enter residency programs. In a residency, doctors will receive paid, on-the-job training. These can last anywhere from 3-7 years, depending on the specialty. They take place in a hospital and offer an opportunity for medical school graduates to begin treating patients under the supervision of an experienced doctor.

5. Step 5: Obtain Licensure

Doctors must obtain medical licensure to practice in hospitals and other types of medical facilities. In order to earn licensure, doctors must pass the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE). This three-part exam covers topics involving scientific and medical concepts, patient care and management in ambulatory settings.

You may also consider obtaining specialty certification. You have the option to earn certification in the specialty of your interest from an accredited organization. Earning certification will demonstrate a candidate’s knowledge and skills in a specific medical specialty, such as immunology, dermatology, neurological surgery or ophthalmology. The prerequisites for certification typically include a certain number of years of experience working in the specialty, including the residency period, and passing an exam.

They key is that he is both a politician and a doctor. Neither have jobs, just a practice.

Lieing is not an unusual practice for a politician! Nor avoiding truth. However being a Muslim and a Dem that makes it more likely

He is a Moslem. Moslems can LIE to infidels. This is part of their CURSE of being a WILD MAN whose hand shall be against every other men’s hand and every other men’s hand against his.

You cannot get along with a LIAR. Impossible! You can never trust what they say if you are an infidel. Which you are, if you are NOT a Moslem.

But the problem is not being an infidel. The problem is being a Moslem!!

Wherever there is “single payer” in any legal document, the “payer” is EVERYBODY. In other words, it is hypocritical even in its title.

Should anyone trust a candidate whose god is THE father of lies?

FOLKS , HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I’VE GOT TO SAY THIS, “NEVER EVER TRUST A MOSLEM” . LOOK AT THE HISTORY OF ISLAM , EVERY WHERE THEY GO THEY BRING DESTRUCTION , DECEIT AND LIES . IT’S HOW THEY SPREAD. IT’S LIKE THE OLD SAYING “BEWARE OF GREEKS BARING GIFTS” . THEY CAN NEVER BE TRUSTED TO TELLING THE TRUTH TO THE INFIDEL. HM, KIND OF LIKE DEMOCRATS . OF COURSE HE’S BOTH A DEMOCRAT AND MOSLEM .

He did earn a medical degree, but he never applied to practice medicine. That said, how the education was paid isn’t public information.

Under no circumstance can this Islamist be trusted. Appearing along side of the Islamist activist Linda Sarsour assures us of his Islamism, and their combined goal of Islamism eventually ruling the North American continent. They have time on their side.

This is something to file away for if El Sayed wins the Democratic nomination…ask him where he practiced and where he had admitting privileges.

NO infiltration of muslims into American politics. Muslims follow islam’s cruel, oppressive, violent political/legal system. Sharia Law is the antithesis of the USA’s constitution. Democratsocialists walk hand in hand with islam…no freedom. Muslims cannot assimilate into western countries because the islamic political/legal system does not allow it. I pray that Michigan’s citizens are smart enough not to elect a muslim as their governor.

The Democrats know that “free” stuff appeals to their base, those who don’t have a clue that nothing of value is free. Somebody, Corporate America and the American worker, will be stuck with a bill for services rendered to what used to be derogatively called freeloaders but are now referred to as victims of white privilege.

Muslim Jihadists are keenly aware of this major defect in human nature and are expert at using it to their advantage as per the Muslim Brotherhood creed, “sabotaging their house with their hands….” That this Muslim infiltration into the American political landscape goes largely unnoticed and every alert is routinely and loudly portrayed as evidence of the much dreaded, non existent psychosis of Islamophobia, should alarm everyone. But it won’t until there’s a major shift in reportage from hyperbolic propaganda to a full throated, fact based portrayal of the 1400 year history of the most violent, hateful “religion” in human history.

Here’s a link to one such article that should be of interest to every American.
