In all the media frenzy generated by audio and images of crying children who were separated from their adults caretakers at the border, the fact is — most of these minors were actually sent to America alone.

That’s according to the Department of Homeland Security’s secretary, Kirstjen Nielsen.

She said, in a White House news conference this week, the media has been playing a game with its over-the-top emotional shows of crying children.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen corrected the establishment media’s false narrative that all children inundating the United States-Mexico border are arriving with their parents.
During a White House news conference on Monday evening, Nielsen debunked the media’s false claims that conflate all child border crossers as being taken from their border crossing parents.
Nielsen said that the “vast, vast majority” of the 12,000 child border crossers in federal custody were actually sent to the southern border alone with human smugglers.
REPORTER: …How is this not specifically child abuse for these innocent children who are indeed being separated from their parents? [Emphasis added]
NIELSEN: So I want to be clear on a couple of other things. The vast majority, vast vast majority of children who are in the care of HHS right now — 10,000 of the 12,000 — were sent here alone by their parents. That’s when they were separated. So somehow we’ve conflated everything. But there’s two separate issues. 10,000 of those currently in custody were sent by their parents with strangers undertake a completely dangerous and deadly travel alone. We now care for them. We have high standards. We give them meals, we give them education, we give them medical care. There’s videos, there’s TVs, I visited the detention centers myself. That would be my answer to that question.
The establishment media was silent when the Bush administration and Obama administration separated border crossing families for processing and detention, a policy that was chronicled by Breitbart Texas and revealed in 2014 photos how Obama’s DHS was cramming child border crossers into detention facilities.
Earlier this month, multiple establishment media outlets — including the New York Times and Washington Post — were forced to issue corrections after they falsely claimed that the Trump administration’s border policy was to separate families.
The policy to prosecute all illegal border crossers, including illegal alien adults who cross the border with children, results in border-crossing parents having their children taken into federal custody. This is a loophole known as the Flores Settlement Agreement.
Child border crossers, as Breitbart News reported, actually have a higher standard of living than the 13 million American children who are living in poverty.

Hopefully we can return these surplus population kids to their countries of origin. We will break as a nation if we can not stem this tide.

Same drama like in Europe! It´s an organized system. These families send their children on purpose because they KNOW laws are made like that, that their children will be allowed to bring their families in after them. Not anymore in the US (thanks to Trump) but still going on strong in Europe. In Europe the situation is even worse because you have thousands of not millions of adults in their 20´s and even 30´s who claim to be underage (below 18) and therefore are allowed to bring in their families. It´s absolutely insane.

When you say, “vast,vast” majority” that means at least 90% of them are sent parent-less and I’m being generous. It’s obviously and systematically planned to overwhelm the system.

1. Since the children are being used by their parents as political pawns, why are we not seeing anyone charged with child endangerment?
2. Where does Laura Bush get off with posting derogatory op-eds when her husband signed the immigration law being enforced?

This has been an ongoing problem for years. See report from Jan. 2014 on this at FedBizOpps.gov. They were and still are soliciting for escorts for illegal alien unaccompanied children. This appears to be a ‘paid service’ for people to take in and house illegal children. I read that they sell their children to people like traffickers all the time. Sick of this fake news outrage. And the rhinos like Paul Ryan(kick him out now) want to cut Medicare and Social Security to “balance” the budget. LOL more like pay for these illegals and their fake kids. Take from the citizens who paid all their lives to give to a bunch illegals, NO. Send them back, no interviews, just send them back.

This is why we need to deny amnesty and deport the DACA turds and all persons coming in legally and deny asylum to anyone that crosses from the southern border. Nothing but parasitic losers. Google” home many children are in DHS”. Why are we taliking about the legal children first like those who have family serving in the military that are separated while serving tours of duty? Do all these globalist think we would allow them or the UN to make America just like the entire EU? Do you think only Hispanics are crossing our open boarders? That’s because they know corrupt U.S. leaders have been replacing Americans through the unconstitutional ‘chain migration’. Their children can soon bring over family members as part of this illegal policy, if they can get their foot in the door.
