Forced marriages under Islam are rampant in Europe. This is the latest desperate act by an impotent government trying to show that it really is doing something to protect young girls and help them escape sharia oppression. If they trigger the airport security alarm, then they will be taken away to a private place, where presumably they can tell Swedish authorities that they are in danger of being forced to marry someone against their will. And then what? Are they going to be separated from their families and friends and social group forever, or sent back to face the very real possibility of honor killing? Swedish authorities have no doubt failed to think this through, because they persist in refusing to face the reality of Islam.

Girls in Sweden are being advised that if they fear being taken overseas to be subjected to a forced marriage or Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) that they should hide a spoon in their underwear.
Story continues below advertisement“The spoon will trigger metal detectors when you go through security checks,” said Katarina Idegård who is the development manager for the unit charged with tackling honour-based violence in Sweden’s second biggest city Gothenburg.
“You will be taken aside and you can then talk to staff in private,” Ms. Idegård told the Thomson Reuters Foundation.
“It is a last chance to sound the alarm,” she added. Airport staff in Gothenburg have been trained on how to handle such situations, and campaigners hope other cities and airports will adopt the same procedure.
Reuters reports that Sweden keeps no statistics on the number of girls who are sent abroad to be forced into marriages, but Ms. Idegård said a hotline has received 139 calls last year about forced and child marriages…..

Could be a good thing, ultimately. The Swedes appear to think that if they speak sternly to the parents (do they even do ‘sternly’? Or do they just ‘suggest’ and expect to be obeyed?) then the parents will see the error of their ways and all will be wonderful. Of course, those of us living in the real world know that won’t happen. Once a few girls have either been honour killed or disappeared the message might start to get through.
Of course, the more likely scenario is that the girls will be threatened or worse so that they end up going by road to an airport outside of Sweden and, if later questioned, the parents will simply say the girl changed her mind about marrying.
The Swedes really don’t have any idea what they’re dealing with, nor how easy it is to get around their rules.

The Swedish Government should stick a spoon in its collective PC-mouth, and heed the concerns of its native people, oppressed and distressed under its Left-deranged, nation-damaging policies. And take forceful action to protect Sweden’s children, and immigrant daughters. To call these unholy unions marriage, is an affront and insult to the sacred institution. More, Islamic Sharia-sanctioned rape and child-molestation! Loathsome practice, in flagrant violation of Western Law. If Muslim girls defy medieval-minded families, then for “honor”, they are murdered — by FAMILY! — Where is “honor” in that? — In households so blackened, the greatest dishonor, and deepest shame, innocent blood-guilt, family stained. Where reside familial love and compassion; or where housed pity and forgiveness, in cold primeval “homes”? Evident, qualities foreign to aliens who hold these CRUEL barbaric customs, blind in brutal Dark Age practice. As FGM — “Eight out of 10 Egyptian women have undergone female genital mutilation.” “But the bloody tradition is embedded in people’s minds.”
Governments that tolerate such Middle Age customs, Enlightenment-Age CRIMINAL, surely share in family’s criminal guilt. Should be crystal clear, these savage cultural/religious ways are outlaw violations — that will exact stern penalties and harsh punishments. (Fantasy, while Picasso-Left holds suicidal sway over the West!)

Gee, leave it up to the Swedes to come up with such a brilliant idea. Truly. Why, they can expand this program in other areas. For example, someone who is being held up, can unbutton their shirt, or if someone is about to become a victim of a “sexual emergency,” they can alert the authorities by screaming the Swedish national anthem, or its equivalent. And, for those especially harrowing situations, like when a liberal encounters a conservative why, the best remedy to alert authorities, is to immediately start making wild gyrations and jump immediately out of any moving vehicle. Don’t wait for it to stop. That will let the authorities know the situation is critical and to bring the lithium.

Right. A little girl who is has been threatened by her Muslim parents with “honor” killing unless she marries her first cousin in Pakistan, or who is being shipped there so Auntie Fatima can slice off her clitoris, is going to trust a bunch of kafir strangers to help her if she sticks a spoon up her skirt. Even assuming they aren’t Muslims themselves, more likely they will turn her back over to her loudly protesting parents to avoid accusations of “Islamophobia”. I suppose it’s better than nothing, but if Sweden was still a decent country no Muslim would dare to even think about doing such things to their daughters while living there.
