MSNBC Reporter Calls Gaza Protesters ‘Unarmed,’ Then Immediately Says They Had ‘Some Light Weapons’

An NBC correspondent on MSNBC reporting on the protests from Gaza over the move of the U.S. Embassy to Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem couldn’t seem to get his facts straight when it came to describing the armed versus unarmed status of the protesters.

At first, he claimed they were unarmed.

But then, he went right into the next sentence describing the weapons they were carrying.

Which is it, MSNBC?

But this is classic jihad reporting, Islam apology all the way.

From the Washington Free Beacon:

NBC News reporter Matt Bradley on Monday called Palestinian protesters in the Gaza Strip “unarmed” before immediately acknowledging they “had some light weapons,” adding they were “not peacefully demonstrating” but were peaceful in comparison to the more heavily armed Israeli military.

Bradley reported on MSNBC about the bloodshed at the border fence separating Israel from the Gaza Strip. On the day of the U.S. embassy opening in Jerusalem, violent demonstrators urged on by Hamas, the terrorist group in control of Gaza, sought to breach the fence to penetrate Israeli territory. The Israeli military, which seeks to limit civilian casualties, fired on some of the demonstrators.

Bradley took a stridently pro-Palestinian tone in his coverage, saying the Israelis should not have felt threatened by the violent demonstrations. One Palestinian told the Washington Post that he would try to kill people if he got into Israel.

“You saw tens of thousands of young people crossing fields between the urban part of Gaza and the Israeli border, essentially trying to walk across this heavily militarized border unarmed,” Bradley said.

Then, without skipping a beat, he said the demonstrators were in fact armed.

“It’s easy to say they were completely unarmed,” Bradley said. “They had some light weapons. A lot of them would be burning tires or rolling tires to try to melt the razor wire. They had slingshots. They had a new and crazy invention, incendiary kites, where they would try to loft kites and set them on fire to try to light up some of the agricultural fields beyond the border with Israel.”

“But these were hardly the kind of weapons that could frighten any Israeli solder,” he added.

Bradley went on to say the Israelis nearly hit him and his team with artillery.

“It’s kind of hard to imagine how these Israeli troops could have been threatened by a lot of these young people, who were really not peacefully demonstrating, but peacefully by comparison to the Israeli soldiers, and indeed, no Israeli soldier has been killed and nearly 100 Palestinians have died in the past seven weeks of protesting,” he said.

Over the past seven weeks, thousands of Palestinians have massed at the Gaza border in what organizers call the “March of Return.” During the Hamas-led demonstrations, some Palestinians, including terrorist operatives, have attacked Israel and Israeli soldiers with explosives, rocks, and other weapons. There have been several attempts to breach Israel’s border fence.

These arm chair generals of the MSM make me puke!
It is clear, without explanation that anyone who promotes the use of human shields using children and even infants is pure evil. It is Hezbolla and Hamas who are responsible for the deaths of civilians in these protests. The media is complicit in these deaths by blaming Israel in knee jerk fashion for the violence and not placing blame on the perpetrators.

Don’t recognize your ‘nic here, but like your perspective.

Hamas hopes to break through the border fence, kidnap some Israeli soldiers, murder some civilians, and the world wants to blame Israel for its necessarily harsh preventive measures.

The French governemnt managed the to make a completely complicit-with-evil reaction to the Gaza border deaths yesterday by blaming Israel and failing to mention Hamas’ organization of these “peaceful demonstrators” who are only “lightly armed”. And of course the French were oh-so-concerned that the Israeli response be “proportional”. I will hazard a guess that if people named Macron were at risk, the French government would be less concerned about proportionality.

However they are armed, the immediate intent behind the Return March is to murder and kidnap Israelis, and the Israeli government has every right to take whatever action is necessary to prevent Hamas from achieving its goal.

I would agree with you Liatris Spicata about the immediate intent behind the Return March but I must add that another probable main intent or at least an important tangential intent is to create BAD PRESS for Israel. The Iranians through their proxy Hamas knows that the basic bias in the world MSM is quite anti-Israel and they are using this fact to get the ‘finger pointers’ out in force.

Agreed. General Omar Bradley of WWII fame called them “after-action strategists”.

Say Phil-

It’s not so much that the virgins are perpetual as that their virginity is renewable. Love to know the details of how that works, lol!

And rivers of wine — maybe one for red, one for white and one for sparkling. How do they make sure the catamites remain forever young so they can be buggered by bearded old buffoons?

Rule #1: Never bring slingshots and incendiary kites to a gunfight.

To say that BSDNC gets a story wrong is like saying the Titanic had a bad voyage.

I wonder what the USA or any Country for that matter, would do, if you had a crowd of 40,000, trying to breach your border, using violence and mayhem, throwing Molotov bombs, shooting at you, destroying the fence, all the while, stating their intent to kill you! Would you hand out flowers and sing Kumbaya or PROTECT YOURSELVES!!?? You have ANYONE to Blame, point your fingers at the Terrorists Hamas!!
