“Israeli diplomats noted that the UN never did this when Israelis were murdered.”
Of course it didn’t. The UN has for years been essentially nothing more than the official mouthpiece for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Once again it is doing what it always does when Israel defends itself: condemning Israel and pretending that the violent jihadis attacking it are innocent civilians. Some might say that the UN held this moment of silence before Hamas announced that the “innocent civilians” who were killed were actually Hamas members, but it isn’t going to issue an apology today now that the news is out.
Jihad armies descending on the Israeli border in order to annihilate the Jewish state elicit no criticism from the UN. The UN remains obsessed with Israel, condemning it for nonexistent human rights abuses, while turning a blind eye to genuine human rights abusers such as Saudi Arabia and Iran. As the “Palestinians” step up this new round of their jihad against Israel, watch for the UN to continue to rain down condemnations upon Israel.

“Hamas Says 50 Dead ‘Innocent Protesters’ Are Members of Its Terror Group,” by Hana Levi Julian, Jewish Press, May 16, 2018:
Fifty of the 62 Gazans killed on Monday during violence at the border with Israel were members of the ruling Hamas terror group, spokesperson Dr. Salah Al-Bardawil said Wednesday in a live television interview with “Bladna al Alamiya.”
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group claimed at least another three of the dead were members of its ranks as well.
At least 2,200 Gazans were injured in the melee that took place as some 50,000 stormed the security fence in an attempt to breach the border and murder Israelis in nearby towns.
The violence that began around midday included terror operatives hurling flaming tires at the security fence, using bolt cutters to destroy the barrier while others used slingshots to hurl rocks at IDF soldiers who were defending the border….

I cannot agree with the final words ‘totally useless’. As early as 1981 when I was booted out of the UN, I came to realise that this oraganisation was a vehicle for the advent of anti Christ. To suggest it is useless gives the impression that the UN does nothing – that it has no purpose.- no use. Like saying a nuclear bomb is totally useless. Totally corrupt/evil/dangerous. Any of these, but not useless.

But you are in Australia, you have no idea how the UN is stocked with terrorism supporters. So unless you understand and been blown up, I suggest you keep your word games to yourself. Yes and the UN is all those things including evil, corrupt, dangerous, over funded and yes USELESS.
Perhaps we should defund the UN and have it moved to Sydney?

I am well aware the UN is basically a Mosque and is often useless to the US and freedom loving people. There does need to be (in my opinion) an international body where nations can have their say and NYC is the capital of the world. Totally deconstructed and rebuilt perhaps though with a 57 member block of Islamic nations, it will always present challenges as it stands. The UN does give the US an opportunity to speak her mind and that is important. You are correct that I was engaging in word games though not in criticism of what had been expressed. I consider the UN has a use. It is just not being used properly ATM.

Can anyone point to just one worthwhile achievement by the UN in their more than 70 years of existence in which time they have squandered Billions of dollars belonging to the taxpayers of their member countries.

While America gives $10 Million to Israel every day and has done so for decades and millions in loans they have never repaid and supports the disposesed Palistenians who were run out of their land by Zionist in their Plan Delat ethnic cleansing. Considering the amount of money Israel has to spend every day defending their country from the Islamic hordes and Palistanian terrorists, rockets and murder on the streets the Palistinians should be happy that they still receive about 600million annually from the Americans and obviously heaps more from other countries despite them using most of that money for bombs, rockets, guns, murder etc. Recognizing Israel is only one of the very few things the UN has ever got right..
