Who decides? Who decides what’s good and what’s forbidden?
The truth violates Facebook community standards. This is still more social media censorship, and more attempts to silence all conservative voices. We are seeing an unprecedented erosion in our First Amendment rights, increasingly prohibiting the flow of ideas and free expression in the public square (social media). Run by left-wing self-possessed snowflakes, social media giants are indulging their worst autocratic impulses. And because they can, it is getting worse. “Absolute power corrupts absolutely.”
Having been one of the early targets of social media censorship on Facebook, YouTube et al, I have advocated for anti-trust action against these bullying behemoths. Early last year, I wrote: “The US government has used anti-trust laws to break up monopolies. They ought to break up Facebook. Section 2 of the Sherman Act highlights particular results deemed anticompetitive by nature and prohibits actions that ‘shall monopolize, or attempt to monopolize, or combine or conspire with any other person or persons, to monopolize any part of the trade or commerce among the several States, or with foreign nations.’ Couldn’t the same be applied to information? The United States government took down Standard Oil, Alcoa, Northern Securities, the American Tobacco Company and many others without nearly the power that Facebook has.”

What is happening is being engineered at the government level. A chief officer from a major American communications company went to the terror state of Pakistan to assure the Pakistani government that Facebook would adhere to the sharia. The commitment was given by Vice President of Facebook Joel Kaplan, who called on Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan. “Facebook has reiterated its commitment to keep the platform safe and promote values that are in congruence with its community standards.”
Why the block? Because under Islamic law, you cannot criticize Islam. Facebook adhering to the most extreme and brutal ideology on the face of the earth should trouble all of us, because Mark Zuckerberg has immense power. He controls the flow of information. This must be stopped. Our First Amendment freedom of speech is at stake.

Hate speech, bullying, and harrassment are major problems online. In response, Facebook is testing a new feature for some users: asking if every post is hate speech.
Some users are seeing questions from Facebook on all posts: Is this hate speech?
Interestingly, it does not seem to be just on posts that textual analysis might indicate could be problematic … it’s currently on all posts, including ads about car insurance and cute cats.
Author and influencer Joel Comm is included in this test as well, and he’s not impressed. For Comm, this will just strengthen existing reality bubbles.
“Great. Facebook is already a cesspool of people clinging to their ideas and not really talking to each other. Now when it comes to political speech or anything I don’t like, I can rally the mobs to scream ‘hate speech!’ he posted this morning. “If the intent is to curb nastiness on Facebook, I think it will backfire. People will manipulate it beyond brokenness.”…

Truth IS truth, no matter how much you hate truth. IE:

The whole thing is only an issue because the Democrats lost.
The only collusion happening was between facebook, Google, Twitter with the Democrats.
They want 16-17 year olds to vote so social media can further influence elections.

Kat Madu’s source here is MediaMatters a Soros operation. MediaMatters, and ThinkProgress use their own numbers to reach conclusions while ignoring, I mean completely ignoring the concerns of people such as Diamond and Silk. If option is for everyone, go for it. Facebook will be shocked to discover how few people agree with them. If it’s just for a cherry picked group that Facebook likes, it will be a disaster.

We need conservative media to band together and create some polls and places where we can unite and work together to put pressure on the companies directly and through the government. This oppression cannot and should not be tolerated. Problem is the various conservative groups are competing against each other, trying to get the next nickle out of their followers and we are left splintered and diverse instead of united and strong. Unite the Right!

Absolute drivel. Fake news is real, examples include: “Hands up don’t shoot”, Obama’s Iran deal, and the Bill Cosby rape allegations. Trump had nothing, nothing, nothing, absolutely nothing to do with any of this.

I get your concern because I’ve always had trouble on lunch break convincing Libs. of anything,even obvious points.So we don’t need to be further muffled.But I just blocked somebody’s comments (on a diff. site)for always being such a complainer. I’m free to do it but Zuck’s not? This is a big nut to crack.

The problem is he claims FB is a platform, and platforms are not responsible for content and are thus protected from prosecution. But if they pick and choose content, they become publishers and lose those protections because now they ARE responsible for content.
