Business Insider’s Eliza Relman tries to smear John Bolton by association with Pamela Geller – READ THE ACTUAL EMAILS

15

Look at how misleading the Business Insider headline is. “Journalist” Eliza Relman is trying to imply that Bolton is consulting with me on national security issues. Then in the first paragraph, she says that Bolton and I have been in touch “in recent years.” She is, in other words, making a story out of a non-story. When Relman emailed me, she fished and fished for details about when and how I had been in touch with Bolton. I knew what she was trying to do, and so told her nothing. So wrote her story anyway, out of nothing.

This is not journalism. This is propaganda in the cause of destroying people, careers, lives. I don’t know what made Eliza Relman into a such a bitter, desperate young woman. Very sad.

Here is our email exchange, after I told her I would answer her questions via email:

Great, thanks. Here are my questions:

– What do you think of the president’s approach to national security policy thus far?
– What do you think of his selection of John Bolton as his nat. sec. adviser?
– How do you think Bolton will approach the job? What do you expect he’ll prioritize?
– Do you have any opinion on Mira Ricardel, President Trump’s newly selected deputy nat. sec. adviser?
– Have you been in touch with Bolton over the last few years? Do you agree with his approach to issues of terrorism?

What do you think of the president’s approach to national security policy thus far?

President Trump has wisely included a focus on Sharia in his new national security strategy. Clearly he is in favor of a more realistic approach to the jihad threat than that of the Obama administration, which banned all mention of Islam and jihad from counterterror training.

– What do you think of his selection of John Bolton as his nat. sec. adviser?

I’m very happy that President Trump has chosen John Bolton, a fierce patriot who will do what it takes to defend the nation, and who has a clear and accurate understanding of the nature and magnitude of the threats facing us.

– How do you think Bolton will approach the job? What do you expect he’ll prioritize?

He will approach it with the tenacity, acuity and patriotism for which he is famous. He will prioritize the security of Americans.

– Do you have any opinion on Mira Ricardel, President Trump’s newly selected deputy nat. sec. adviser?

John Bolton knows what he is doing. Ricardel has extensive experience in working with national security issues.

– Have you been in touch with Bolton over the last few years? Do you agree with his approach to issues of terrorism?

Yes. Yes.

Great! Thanks so much. A couple of follow-up q’s below, if you don’t mind:

– Do you think Bolton will encourage the president to take military action against North Korea? Will he support exiting the Iran deal?
– Has Bolton’s pro-intervention approach to foreign policy (supporting war in the mid-east, etc) changed at all over the last few years? Or does he still strongly support that approach?
– What kinds of interactions have you had with Bolton over the last few years?
– What issues do you feel you’re most aligned with Bolton on?
– Do you think Bolton believes Sharia law is a problem in the US?
– What, specifically, do you think or hope Bolton will accomplish in the Trump administration?

From: Pamela Geller
To: Eliza Relman

Do you think Bolton will encourage the president to take military action against North Korea?

If necessary.

Will he support exiting the Iran deal?

I hope so. Trump is right that it is the worst deal any US President has ever concluded.

– Has Bolton’s pro-intervention approach to foreign policy (supporting war in the mid-east, etc) changed at all over the last few years?

Pro-intervention? “Pre-emption” would be more accurate.

Or does he still strongly support that approach?

Bolton is not a robot. He is an extraordinarily intelligent man who does not apply the same approach in all circumstances.

– What kinds of interactions have you had with Bolton over the last few years?

Cordial.

– What issues do you feel you’re most aligned with Bolton on?

Foreign policy issues.

– Do you think Bolton believes Sharia law is a problem in the US?

Surely every person of good will opposes the spread of a legal system that denies the freedom of speech, the equality of rights of women, and more.

– What, specifically, do you think or hope Bolton will accomplish in the Trump administration?

I hope he will increase the security of the nation.

Thanks so much! One more question (sorry!) — could you elaborate on your interactions with Bolton over the last few years. Have you discussed policy or nat . sec. issues with him? Do you generally meet in person or talk by phone?

From: Eliza Relman
To: Pamela Geller

Hi Pamela — just following up on my last question. Sorry, again, to bug you, just would like to get a better sense of your interactions with Bolton.

Thanks!

Eliza

My interaction with Bolton has all been positive.

Thanks! Have you had calls or meetings with him or attended events together?

Eliza

I’m aware that you’re trying to defame Mr. Bolton by linking him with me. In the first place, all my work is dedicated to the freedom of speech, the freedom of conscience, individual rights, and the equality of rights of all people before the law. Contrary to media distortions and lies, I do not stand for any hatred or bigotry. Mr. Bolton has nothing to apologize for in writing a Foreword for my book or in maintaining a friendly association with me. But aside from that, your guilt by association tactics are reprehensible in themselves. Mr. Bolton is an experienced public servant with a long record that speaks for itself. You should be examining that record on its merits, not hunting down 12-year-old Blog Talk Radio interviews and seven-year-old book introductions.

Yet as you can see, Relman does just that. And note that she doesn’t quote me telling her I’m on to her.

As for Breivik, this charge is meant to imply that I call for violence and that Breivik heeded my call. This is absolutely false. Breivik never quotes me calling for or justifying violence – because I never do. Breivik explains in his manifesto that he was “radicalized” by his experiences with Muslim immigrants in the early 1990s, before I had published anything about Islam (See Breivik, 2083: A European Declaration of Independence, p. 1348). Breivik also hesitantly but unmistakably recommended making common cause with jihadists, which neither I nor any other opponent of jihad would ever do: “An alliance with the Jihadists might prove beneficial to both parties but will simply be too dangerous (and might prove to be ideologically counter-productive). We both share one common goal.” (Breivik, p. 948). He even called for making common cause with Hamas in plotting jihad terror: “Approach a representative from a Jihadi Salafi group. Get in contact with a Jihadi strawman. Present your terms and have him forward them to his superiors….Present your offer. They are asked to provide a biological compound manufactured by Muslim scientists in the Middle East. Hamas and several Jihadi groups have labs and they have the potential to provide such substances. Their problem is finding suitable martyrs who can pass ‘screenings’ in Western Europe. This is where we come in. We will smuggle it in to the EU and distribute it at a target of our choosing. We must give them assurances that we are not to harm any Muslims etc.” (Breivik, p. 949)

Relman likely doesn’t know or care about any of that. She just wants to hit Bolton, and thinks I’m a convenient weapon to use against him. Her reprehensible conduct is typical of the mainstream media today.

“Anti-Muslim activist Pamela Geller has been in touch with Trump’s new national security adviser, John Bolton,” by Eliza Relman, Business Insider, May 3, 2018:

Pamela Geller, a well-known anti-Islam activist, says she has had “positive” interactions in recent years with John Bolton, President Donald Trump’s new national security adviser, who has publicly associated with Geller in the past.

In an email to Business Insider, Geller called Bolton “a fierce patriot who will do what it takes to defend the nation, and who has a clear and accurate understanding of the nature and magnitude of the threats facing us.”

Geller added that she is “very happy” Bolton, who she called “an extraordinarily intelligent man,” was selected for the top administration post.

“John Bolton knows what he is doing,” she said.

Geller and Bolton’s relationship goes back at least to 2005, when the activist celebrated Bolton’s 2005 appointment as US ambassador to the United Nations under President George W. Bush. (In an hour-long interview in 2007, Bolton said he agreed with Geller’s charge that the UN is an anti-Semitic institution).

Bolton appeared in Geller’s video blog and radio show four times between 2006 and 2009, according a CNN report, and wrote a foreward to her 2010 book, “The Post-American Presidency: The Obama Administration’s War on America,” in which Geller and her co-author, fellow anti-Islam activist Robert Spencer, argue that “Europe is committing slow cultural and demographic suicide” and that the US and Europe are threatened by “creeping Sharia.”

But it’s unclear how much the two have been in touch in recent years. Geller would only say that all of her recent interactions with Bolton have been “cordial” and “positive.”

“Mr. Bolton has nothing to apologize for in writing a Foreword for my book or in maintaining a friendly association with me,” she said. “[He] is an experienced public servant with a long record that speaks for itself.”

Geller denies the charge that she is Islamophobic or bigoted, telling Business Insider that the claim is a result of “media distortions and lies.”

But in her writings and public statements Geller claims there is no such thing as “moderate Islam” and argues “there really is no difference between Muslims and radical Muslims.”

The far-right Norwegian terrorist Anders Breivik, who killed 77 people in 2011, cited Geller and Spencer dozens of times in a manifesto Breivik wrote describing his animosity toward Muslims and desire to provoke a European civil war.

And Geller, who famously campaigned against the construction of an Islamic community center near the 9/11 memorial in Manhattan, has long promoted conspiracy theories that American Muslims are trying to implement Sharia law in various parts of the US — a concern she says Trump takes seriously.

“President Trump has wisely included a focus on Sharia in his new national security strategy,” Geller said. “Clearly he is in favor of a more realistic approach to the jihad threat than that of the Obama administration, which banned all mention of Islam and jihad from counterterror training.”…

I just heard an amazing interview on the “RUBIN REPORT”, [with Candace Owens]; and several times Candace stated that she’s been the target of internet “HIT MEN”; just as has Pamela & Richard!

CLEARLY the ENTIRE “Malicious Salacious Murmmurers” {aka: the MSM} are focused on ONLY ONE JOB, finding ways to STOP TRUMP & ANYONE who supports him!

JOURNALISM BE DAMNED! AGENDA BE PUSHED & PROPAGATED ALWAYS!…THAT is they’re ONLY FOCUS!!!

Pamela is foolish to fall into Left/Liberal trap by even entertaining questions and laying out what she stands for and that they use against her.

just like they do in UK. Police go after those who protest muslim gang rapists and other crimes http://bit.ly/2r6F3cp

All true but a little wordy. IMO, the gist was of her thesis is in the penultimate paragraph: “… Geller … has long promoted conspiracy theories that American Muslims are trying to implement Sharia law in various parts of the US…” When did Eliza Relman stop beating her wife? Pamela has amassed an overwhelming body of evidence over the years, If you’re going to speak to Relman, demand her evidence that American Muslims are NOT trying to implement Sharia law etc. Relman just assumes that as a given and should be called on it. She has the educational credentials but she’s a polemicist, not a journalist. Does she even have an argument beyond mere slogans?

Once again the lame stream media displays why it has no credibility and why there is great rejoicing throughout the land when the talentless hacks loosely describing themselves as “journalists” are promoted to being the voice on dog food commercials.
