Germany: Children in mosque play Turkish soldiers and corpses draped in Turkish flags

10

This shows yet again why the mosques must be monitored, not just in Germany, but all over the West. This may apply particularly to Turkish mosques, which are directly tied to Erdogan’s government in Ankara, with its dreams of restoring the Ottoman caliphate and expanding its domains into the lands the Ottomans once ruled. This child abuse should not and must be allowed to spread in the West. We have seen it for years with the “Palestinians.” Are Western officials really so feckless and suicidal that they’re going to allow this culture of hatred and violence to secure a foothold in free societies? Obviously the answer is yes, and that foothold is already secured. It is good to see Kurz saying this will not be tolerated. Now he must follow through.

“Erdogan’s child soldiers had to play corpses,” translated from “Erdogans Kindersoldaten mussten Leichen spielen,” Kronen Zeitung, April 18, 2018:

The affair surrounding the war games with children in an ATIB mosque in Vienna’s Dammstraße is expanding. On Wednesday, photos appeared on Facebook, which prove that not only this year, but also in 2016 battles have been reenacted with children, as the “Falter” reported. The new pictures show children playing dead soldiers who are covered with Turkish flags.

The photos come from one of the largest mosques in Vienna, the mosque of the Turkish Religious Association ATIB, which also runs kindergartens in Vienna. The children were forced to recreate the 1915 Battle of Gallipoli, a carnage that the Turks suffered during the First World War.

The Union of Turkish-Islamic Cultural Associations in Europe (ATIB) is a direct offshoot of the Turkish Ministry of Religion and follows the line of the Turkish government. The Islamic Religious Community (IGGÖ) officially distanced itself from the spectacle. The imaging is not good. There should have been personnel consequences, but the president of the faith community, Ibrahim Olgun, himself a representative of the ATIB, has so far remained in his post.

The head of the government is heavily criticizing ATIB. The Office of Cultural Affairs, which is located in the Federal Chancellery, is already reviewing the incidents for violations of the law regarding Islam; a case has been initiated. The closure of the mosque or the dissolution of the association ATIB are being considered.

“That has no place in Austria. There will be zero tolerance here,” said Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz (ÖVP) on Wednesday at the press conference after the Council of Ministers. Vice Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache (FPÖ) spoke of “completely intolerable” incidents….
