U.N. Gets $100 Million in New Aid for ‘Palestinians’ on Heels of U.S. Cuts

49

The United Nations has received pledges for $100 million in aid for “Palestinians” from the likes of Canada, Turkey, Switzerland and Norway.

The pledges still don’t bridge the full $350 million gap created by President Donald Trump’s announced cuts to UNRWA.

The United Nations, facing UNRWA cuts from the United States, has received $100 million in “Palestinian” aid from several other countries.

On top of that: These are just pledges. The actual cash hasn’t yet exchanged hands.

Ynet News has more:

The United Nations received pledges Thursday of nearly $100 million in new funding for the UN relief agency for Palestinians after the US slashed its aid, but it is still facing a nearly $350 million shortfall this year.

UN officials said the countries providing the new financing included Qatar, Canada, Switzerland, Turkey, New Zealand, Norway, Korea, Mexico, Slovakia, India and France.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said “an important first step was reached” at an emergency donor conference in Rome with the new pledges. But he said “a long way is in front of us” to fully fund the agency, which went into the conference facing a $446 million gap in financing this year—the worst funding crisis in its 68-year history.

“If UNRWA would not exist, if these services were not provided, the security of region would be severely undermined,” Guterres told reporters at the conference’s conclusion. “Now it is very clear, it is absolutely essential, that the extraordinary unanimity in political support to UNRWA and its activities translates itself into cash.”

The agency, the oldest and largest UN relief program in the Middle East, provides health care, education and social services to an estimated 5 million Palestinians in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.

Israel complains that the organization grants Palestinian refugees special status by counting descendants of Palestinians who were either forced to leave or fled during the 1948 War of Independence.

By using this unique categorization which no other refugee in the world is afforded, Israel says that UNRWA is responsible for exacerbating, rather than solving, the problem.

The body’s edcuational facilities have also been used in the past for Hamas terror purposes.

Last October, it was reported that UNRWA discovered a Hamas attack tunnel underneath one of its schools in Gaza.

But the matter was not a focus for Guterres and reforms that US President Donald Trump had called for were also neglected. Guterres told the conference that cutting sanitation, health care and medical services in already poverty-wracked and conflict-ridden areas “would have severe impact—a cascade of problems that could push the suffering in disastrous and unpredictable directions.”

The Trump administration announced in January it was slashing $65 million this year. But the agency said the actual cut was around $300 million because the US had led the agency to believe it would provide $365 million in 2018.

The US had been UNWRA’s largest donor, supplying nearly 30 percent of its budget. In announcing the cuts in January, the US State Department said it wanted reforms at the agency, which Israel has strongly criticized.

They don’t deserve any.

Trump was initially fooled by Taqiya from Abbas – the jihadi fraud. but once he realised he was conned, boy was Trump furious as hell http://bit.ly/2rOmfyJ

That is when Trump realised how stupid it was to fund and support this jihadi scum.

Good, the more burden of the united nations the falls on countries with weak economies, the more resentment will be developed, eventually it will be directed at and destroy the “useless abominations”.

Unfortunately, I believe that resentment will be towards the big, bad Americans who want to hurt innocent, sick refugees. These countries hate our success and power, and see us thru the $h*+ that covers their eyes. Still, it’s completely worth it just so we stop funding dead beat jihadis.

You did read Canada is among the countries supporting the UNWRA with more funding right? Funding coming right out of your tax dollars.

I’d suggest reducing US contributions even more. Say by about as much as whatever other countries say they will pay (like a reverse matching fund). Time to let these other countries pony up and eventually take over the costs of this nonsense…

There are some concerns that charities like the human rights org or this one may be fronts for channeling money to terrorism. On the other hand sending foreign aid to stabilize a region so the refugees stay there is not bad either.

All funds should be restored and increased to the so called palestinians, and they should be sent by rocket to colonize some other planet they can claim as their own, while we are at it, we should expand the program to deport all Muslims to a safe other planet where they can do as they wish.

On this planet there is not a snowballs chance in Hell that Islam will ever become peaceful.

Dried apricots also come from California…..no need for Turkish apricots..

One fact that never gets reported is that Seniors and other people with disposable income are no longer going there…..tourism is dead there….I struck them off my bucket list years ago…..but you don’t hear about this anywhere.

And as a Senior….there are now places in America I will no longer go and spend any money….and it’s getting worse because the Muslim Marxist Obama brought many of these radical, violent people to America and they breed faster than Americans….

I saw some demographics that Muslims have 8 children to every one of ours…..Hispanics used to have the same numbers, but when they came here their children lived past two years old (not like in Mexico and Central America) so they now only have 3 or 4 to our two. Within one decade the Muslim “refugees” will have produced enough kids to totally take over our voting system.

I want to know what happened to President Trump’s idea of creating a safe space for the “refugees” in the Middle East….and send them all back there?

The immigration problem of Moslems and migrants is terrifying. I now believe in about 50 years this country will no longer exist, but will become a Demoncrap paradise of chaos, martial law and a squabbling balkanized country.

In other words….another “shi#hole country? Not on my watch….it’s why we elected Trump….to stop that from happening…..now all we have to do is start reversing with the Muslim Marxist Obama did and we’ll back to normal with 8 years of Trump followed by 8 years of Pence…..
But this can’t be fixed if we all don’t quit cringing every time some calls us “racist” or “Islamophobic” …..they are just meaningless, groundless words with no proof or evidence to back it up.

The so called ‘palestinians’ have received enough money from the EU, USA, and some Muslims states, not to mention private charities over the last half century to have made their territory into a Middle East Switzerland or even a Dubai. The handouts have gone to make their leadership rich and preparing for war on Israel. There are many millionaires in Gaza and the Fatah territory living in big masions but the people live in poverty and deprivation under a totalitarian rule

The U.S. gives $320 Million to Mexico most of which goes to law enforcement: “The largest chunk of U.S. aid goes toward law enforcement — including helping Mexican authorities capture drug lords — supporting improvements to the Mexican judicial system and security, including along Mexico’s southern border, helping stem the flow of immigrants from Central and South America.” If Mexico can afford to support UNWRA, then they do not need the U.S.’s money.

Kick everyone out of the UN now! Knock the building down and turn it into a park to honor victims of many of the UN members……it’s so full of electronic spy devices that it positively glows in the dark……the UN is nothing more than another Globalist organization sucking money out of us to fund the enemies of America…..
It would be like if you took all the locks off your doors and bank accounts and anyone who wanted to come in would…..and take over your home, food, and money…..the UN is a clearing house for enemies of America……take it down and build the dam border walls……South AND NORTH…..
