The women who have accused Tariq Ramadan are extraordinarily courageous. Ramadan counted on their silence because of the subclass status of women under Islam. And he knew he had the power of the Muslim Brotherhood behind him — a ruthless machine that now has sent his first accuser, Henda Ayari, multiple death threats, requiring her to seek police protection.
Tariq Ramadan is a Muslim. He holds the same beliefs and attitudes toward women that the Muslim rape gangs in the UK and the Muslim migrant rapists in Germany and Sweden and elsewhere hold. This is the behavior toward women that Islam inculcates in men. Even a silver-tongued snake such as Ramadan can’t hide his true demeanor forever. His contempt for the West makes him all the more revered by leftist elites. He was an Oxford professor, and even after Ayari came forward, his position was not in jeopardy until an outcry required Oxford to put Ramadan on “leave.”
Ramadan was named by Time magazine as one of the seven religious innovators of the 21st century and as one of the 100 most influential people in the world, and by Foreign Policy readers (2005, 2006, 2008-2010, 2012-2015) as one of the top 100 most influential thinkers in the world and Global Thinkers.
How has the left elite handled these allegations? Largely with silence. So once again we see it: Islam trumps all — women’s rights, gay rights, Jews, Christians…. everything. Just look at how the media has treated jihad Tariq juxtaposed to their treatment of Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey and the rest.
“Third rape case filed against Muslim scholar Tariq Ramadan,” Reuters, March 8, 2018 (thanks to Patrick):
PARIS (REUTERS) – A third woman has accused prominent Islamic scholar Tariq Ramadan of rape, a month after he was indicted over similar charges and remanded into custody, judicial sources told AFP on Wednesday (March 7).
The French Muslim woman, who wants to remain anonymous and uses the pseudonym “Marie”, claims to have suffered multiple rapes in France, Brussels and London between 2013 and 2014.
She has accused Ramadan, 55, of subjecting her to violent and sexually degrading acts during a dozen meetings, often in hotels at the sidelines of conferences.
“Marie tried in vain to escape the influence of Mr Ramadan who did not stop threatening her,” according to a judicial source, discussing the period between February 2013 and June 2014.
Ramadan, a prominent TV pundit and Oxford University professor whose grandfather founded Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood movement, was detained on Feb 2 over charges he raped two Muslim women in France, which he denies.
French authorities ordered Ramadan to be placed in custody after he was charged, judging him a flight risk….
