Ohio Student Suspended for Refusing to Leave Classroom During Gun Control Walkout

113

This is totalitarianism in 21st century America. It’s what fascism looks like. Decades after the left began its long march through the institutions” (academia, media, think tanks, entertainment etc) — subverting society by infiltrating institutions such as the academic and other professions — they have finally succeeded. It is coming down fast.

German-born American political philosopher and prominent member of the Frankfurt School of critical social analysis, Herbert Marcuse, whose Marxist and Freudian theories of 20th-century Western society were influential in the leftist student movements of the 1960s, wrote this back in his 1972 book, Counterrevolution and Revolt:

To extend the base of the student movement, Rudi Dutschke has proposed the strategy of the long march through the institutions: working against the established institutions while working within them, but not simply by ‘boring from within’, rather by ‘doing the job’, learning (how to program and read computers, how to teach at all levels of education, how to use the mass media, how to organize production, how to recognize and eschew planned obsolescence, how to design, et cetera), and at the same time preserving one’s own consciousness in working with others.

Story continues below advertisement

The long march includes the concerted effort to build counter institutions. the ground to the building of a unified front shifting and sometimes dirty– – but it is there…

Close to fifty years later, did they imagine they would accomplish their goals with such stunning success?

The election of Donald J. Trump was either the opening round in what will be a knock-down-drag-out fight for our freedom, or the last gasp of a free America.

Ohio Student Suspended for Refusing to Leave Classroom During Gun Control Walkout

| MAR 16, 2018 |

A high school student in Hilliard, Ohio, didn’t want to pick sides in the contentious gun debate surrounding Wednesday’s “National Walkout,” so he stayed in class instead of joining the largely anti-gun protest or an alternative “study hall.”

Hilliard Davidson High School senior Jacob Shoemaker was then reportedly slapped with a suspension.

The student argued that divisive politics have no place in America’s schools and he refused to take sides in the debate, according to the Associated Press.

Shoemaker’s suspension citation was posted online, possibly by a friend, and the story quickly went viral.

Ms Geller is right as usual. If I may add other thoughts to the fascist educational movement going on…

Individuals are not allowed to exist. It must be group think. You must follow the other sheep. Why do you think the individual is being erased and GROUP activities are the norm now? It’s all part of the fundamental shift going on. Russia in particular used to admire out education system because it was based on individual merit and self sufficiency. That has all been replaced by group think and group activity.

“The student argued that divisive politics have no place in America’s schools and he refused to take sides in the debate, according to the Associated Press.”

You are not allowed to be neutral. You will be vilified and punished if you attempt this. You must also side with the left. There is no choice.

Most teachers in the west are alt left feminazis who waste our tax dollars indoctrinating our kids on pro-terrorist alt left views and encouraging the use of recreational marijuana. We need to rigorously remove them all from our schools so our children can receive a truly unbiased education. Once that happens everything else will fall into place.

Yes and no… these types tend to keep getting a narrower and narrower view. Even a kid will sense that he or she is being stifled. FREEDOM is part of a human being. Rebellion goes both ways.

For example, not so long ago a Jewish lesbian was marching with other lesbians with her Star of David flag. This year she wasn’t allowed to march with it. Liberals HATE Jews. It was awkward. For years it was acceptable with the same group. Suddenly it is not. Next will Jews be allowed to be part of the march? They always keep narrowing down the acceptable parameters.

I brought this news to a friend from China, now staying in USA

He had been through the RED TERROR during his days back in China, namely, the dark period of Cultural Revolution https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cultural_Revolution

His comment is short – one sentence – but severe

This is the beginning of cultural revolution in America

Upon further questioning, he told me that, he too, was forced out of the classroom and into the street — there was no ‘NO’ allowed, or you become ‘THE ENEMY’

Apparently what happened in Ohio mirrors what happened in China 50 years ago

Are we going to allow this to happen to our country?

Drain the swamp Donald!

WE are allowing it. Many states have enacted severe infringements to the 2nd Amendment – nobody fired a shot to stand up for it. More are doing it every day – a gun ban may be on the Oregon ballot in November. Think about it: a church that is probably tax-exempt putting a measure on the voter ballot to take away the rights of law-abiding tax payers:

http://www.wweek.com/news/state/2018/03/14/a-portland-church-group-plans-to-ask-voters-to-ban-assault-weapons-in-oregon/

Most of Oregon is pro-gun, but the state is ruled by the libtard hordes from Portland to Eugene. They may have the numbers to get it enacted. It may be a ban on sales of particular types of guns – Clinton did that in the 90s. If it’s a ban on possession then Oregonians will have to decide what they’ll do if they start confiscation. All 2nd Amendment supporters need to think about the best plan. They won’t go door to door – that would result in too many people killed; and soon as folks realized what was happening they’d take the fight to the confiscators as loosely organized groups – we’d win no doubt about it. It will be by some other method. Maybe like this:

Mao Tse Dung “weaponized” the students in China, and that it what’s going on here. Up is down and down is up. A student refuses to take part in mass demonstrations, some reported to have been violent and destructive of property. He stays in class and is suspended! This is only the beginning.

And the best place to start indoctrinating? the public schools of course, and beginning at an early age. Programming centers is all they have become.

So much for democracy’s individual rights; it’s a blight affecting not only students but all Americans. Especially, those who value individual rights and the Constitution. Indoctrination, the Leftist Progressive weasels are moving the nation closer to an autocracy. Obama and America’s Merkel, Hillary Clinton and other Progressive subversives are far from faded-away; both are into this up to their you-knows. Treasonous but walking about continuing to undermine the Constitutional Rights of Americans.

Let them come to take the guns from Joe and Joanne America; then, they will discover how much and how many Americans value their rights. The collectivists will run with their cowardly, weasel-a** tails tucked between their legs.

Once kids start waking up and see there is a NARROW VIEW they must have, they typically resent that. These students are emotionally immature and lack knowledge. They are easily influenced and manipulated. At some point they will disagree with something being advanced and feel the wrath of who they are marching for.

This is, perhaps a little off topic, but some of our kids still have a chance, especially if they have parents with more than half a brain. When it comes to totalitarian S- like pisslam, kids are totally lost with no “self”. Leftists and pisslamists are both currently working to destroy our Constitution, our Republic, and our way of life.

“At some point they will disagree with something being advanced…” Do you think children born to pisslam “disagree” with it? How many of those kids are “waking up”, seeing a narrow view and resenting it enough to fight back? We/parents can’t let our schools (et al) get away with S- like this.

With this kind of S- in the news where is what’s her name, Betsy DeVoss(?). Trump appointed a director of education and she NEEDS to be totally OUTSPOKEN on what’s going on. Since Parkland FL (2-14), what public presence has she had? What statements has she made? If she doesn’t speak up for gun rights, gun education, and CCW for teachers and school personnel, Trump needs to light a fire under her A- or fire her A-!

I don’t disagree; I had experiences with university students duped by the Marxist propagandists. I never got through them past their befuddled but infatuation for Communism. Introducing them to former gulag prisoners didn’t cut the mustard. Debating is a fruitless, an exercise in futility; most cannot think outside of the indoctrination box; they are the box.

As said, however, once their brains and bodies were no longer under siege of the university’s mind-labs, realizing that sharing one’s hard-earned paycheck with the collective was not a choice but a duty, the proverbial light switched on.

The study hall option obliterates the entire claim of fascism. If Jacob Shoemaker sues, it will be a slam-dunk case…for Hillard-Davidson High School! If students made threats against those in the study hall after the protest, that’s on those students and if the school didn’t punish those students then, only at that point would a valid case exist.

WTF does the “study hall option” have to do with this student’s suspension? Why did you not mention that his due process rights were violated. Blatantly. And WHERE in the Education Code does it require students to participate in POLITICAL activities when they wish not to. Muslims students throughout the U.S. daily refuse to participate in certain school activities, yet do you see any one of them being suspended. No. So, you are wrong. This student, Shoemaker, does have a “valid” case. If he gets a lawyer, they will clean the school district’s clock for violating his civil rights here. Don’t know where you’re getting your info from but, perhaps you should go back and review.

The presence of the study hall option negates any rights violations.

Muslims students throughout the U.S. daily refuse to participate in certain school activities, yet do you see any one of them being suspended. No.

Not the same thing as that deals with religious observance, and more importantly, the students are still physically within the school. Another example might be school on important Jewish holidays where the days off are not given…Jewish students can’t be penalized for missing those days.

Where in the Education Code does it specifically state where a student can be suspended for refusing to participate in a political activities. Where? By even allowing students to participate in a political rally during school hours, is a violation. Punishing a student for not participating, is a violation of his civil rights at the very least. Unless you are referring to students in N. Korea.

It was not “politics neutral.” Because a student stayed in a classroom, during a school sanctioned school political protest, and during school hours, the student was in no violation. The school was obligated to keep a staff in that classroom to supervise him.
Additionally, since the school sanctioned a political rally during school hours, they deprived Shoemaker of his education during that time. Which is also a violation of the Education Code.

Would they even suspend a student in Russia for the same thing. Proof, that our nation’s “learning” institutions, are no longer that. They have been quietly turned into full indoctrination centers. The generation now going through these schools (minus kids like this High school student mentioned here), will not be able to think or problem solve for themselves in the future. They have now been trained to fully rely on the state and to set aside all individual thought, for the good of the collective. Why there are no protests in the streets is a testament to how lost this cause really is.

Actually, the students were allowed to participate in the ‘walk out’ OR go to assigned study halls and have nothing to do with it. This student refused either option and the only reason he got cited was because students are not allowed to be unsupervised and alone in an entire area of the building during school hours. Please, Pamela… you have always been so rock solid in your reporting, don’t lose your high standards. Perhaps you should familiarize yourself with the Education Code. It clearly states schools are not to allow, or sanction political activities. Especially during school hours. The school in fact, deprived student Shoemaker of his right (and it is a right) to an education to allow the other students to protest. Because school authorities were too weak to enforce school rules, or were on board politically with the protest, they chose to cover up their gross negligence with a punishment on Mr. Shoemaker. Any lawyer worth his or her salt will see right through the school’s shenanigans and have a field day.

“Refused to follow instructions” kind of a catch all isn’t it? What instructions did he refuse to follow?

He was required to either go to the rally, or to a study hall for that time. He chose neither, and stayed in his classroom.

Yep, Teachers that volunteer as “School Protectors or similar title” ought to be able to “concealed carry” weapon. If a weapon is used by such a volunteer, no legal consequences of any kind can ever be brought against the teacher, irrespective of the outcome of the incident.
President Trump is right, people opposing it are wrong.

California schoolyard was shot up back in the ’80s and every school district in the nation should have begun to control access and require all employees to be armed . Save a lot more lives and grief yet schools are still easy pickings .

Validate your 2nd Amendment Rights… Carry !

“In the United States, a couple of decades ago when leftists were a minority in our universities, leftist professors were vigorous proponents of academic freedom, but today, in those universities where leftists have become dominant, they have shown themselves ready to take away from everybody else’s academic freedom. (This is ‘political correctness’.) The same will happen with leftists and technology. They will use it to oppress everyone else if they ever get it under their own control.” — From “The Unabomber Manifesto”

Americans now have two choices around these issues, build a group of like minded Conservatives and go and find all concerned who are acting like fascists and give them a “good stiff all round talking to” or stay silent and suck it up because you’re faced with exactly the same problem with hard left penetration of your institutions others are.

It’s put up or shut up.

Another story that will probably never see the light of day on TV with the possible exception
of Fox News Channel. The next time CNN interviews Pamela Geller maybe they can ask
her about this story as an example of what the “far right” is interested in but I wouldn’t bet
on it. There was another story on the web somewhere which talked about how the Baltimore
school system bussed a great number of their students to one of these rallies. All of this
goes to show that these student protests maybe weren’t so organic after all. Another
possible fix for school shootings beside gun grabbing would be to install bullet proof glass on
the outside of all public schools and then have a command center inside so that people have
to be buzzed in before entering. When I was 18 or even 22 really I knew very little about
politics but at least back I had enough humility to know that I didn’t know that much and first
needed to learn something.

Rudi Dutschke mentioned in the quote studied sociology, ethnology, philosophy. This is a common denominator amongst the fascists, socialists/communists that rule our universities.
Sociology, ethnology, philosophy is not science as the people studying it don’t care about the scientific method and falsifiability. They are driven by feelings and faith much like religious people.

Of course the ACLU will take up his cause just as they would if he were a Student Denied leaving the School in Protest, Right?

True but had the gall to defend and win for the NAZIs the right to publically speak in Skokie IL during the 70s where Holocaust Survivors lived. When it comes to defending Jewish or Christian Right they’re DEAF.

This student should find another school as quite clearly the one he is currently attending is a sh1thole and his grades will most probably reflect their prejudice against him. He should however continue to protest and bring it to the attention of msm.

The left indoctrinates and brain washes it’s subjects. Take the special election in PA this week. The Democrat ran on a platform that Republicans are stealing from the poor to give to the rich and it worked. Partly because CNN, MSNBC, all newspapers, CBS, ABC, NBC, etc preached the same message that the tax cut was only for the wealthy and the average person will pay for it. How sad, but propaganda works and works very well.

Brainwashed puppets. Reminds me of the Hitler youth. Ask them what laws need to be initiated or what the existing laws are, I doubt they can give an intelligent answer but only repeat what they have been programmed to say.

I wonder where the ACLU is? that’s right they are part of the problem(movement). These young kids had better wake up before they give all their rights away. Next will come cars and cell phones and being told where to live and eat.

“Study Hall” … According to some Jacob Shoemaker was given an option to go to a Study Hall. But no one has offered any proof of this counter-claim other than assertions by the School. In other words, it’s Bravo Sierra.

Obviously if the choice was given – unlikely as he would have taken it right? – he felt he had a good reason not to take it: Such as HIS OWN SAFETY.

Violent Gun-Violence Advocates stage a protest – at the direction of and cooperation of – the School Administration – and a student should just roll over and accept that HIS SAFETY is being protected?

“Unsupervised” …. What kind of Bravo Sierra is this? When we were kids the only classrooms that were ‘Supervised’ 100% of the time were ‘Detention’ – ‘Troublemakers’ – and little kids’ rooms K-3.

H.E.Double Hockey sticks – I still remember my grade school teachers leaving the classroom.

And these Atheist Government School Bureaucrats have the gall to claim they are ‘educators?’

They PROMOTE VIOLENCE and then humiliate and harass those who disagree.

NO ONE has asked – WHY DID THEY DO IT? – Study Hall? Supervision? NO! – They know FULL well there was no need for supervision of the ACTUAL Student Protestor – Jacob Shoemaker.

And it was not just to make an example of him.

The reason they CONCOCTED these EXCUSES – is to hide the fact that –

JACOB SHOEMAKER WAS THE ONE PROTESTING GUN VIOLENCE. And their consciences knew that. Duh.

We get so caught up in arguments we fail to see the obvious. But Pamela caught it.

One more point: Pamela posted a comment and a link as she always does.

She is NOT a Global Commie-Corp with a fire hose of cash funding her operation.

None of us should expect more from her than her comment and her link.

And – NO – Study Hall / Supervision does not change the thrust of this story – It makes it WORSE.

Because obviously the Gun-Violence Advocates KNOW they have to cover their assets.

I also refuse to walk out in such a protest if I don’t support the cause. This was just such obvious cattle prodding to get everyone complicit. I see these tactics at work all the time, bullying the herd into docile complicity. It takes those with true backbone to resist and stand against the tide. The rest become putty in their hands, puppets on strings, and robots programmed with the left’s agenda. I do not know what that ‘study hall’ option was though, just curious.

We all don’t have to think the same in this country. Some want to be neutral and others have a different idea. The school and its administrators must pay a price for this, and a heavy one!
