This is the value of women in Pakistan, and in Islam. Where were the Women’s Marchers speaking out about this? Nowhere, of course. This is because the treatment of women as commodities emanates from Islam’s devaluation of women. The sexual violence emanates from this dehumanization and degradation of women.

A shocking case of ‘revenge rape’ involving 12 members of two families has been unearthed by police in Punjab province, Pakistan.
Story continues below advertisementA man had been accused of raping a woman in Pir Mahal in the Toba Tek Singh district on March 20.
Local news reports that the suspect’s family had approached the victim’s family for ‘pardon and reconciliation’.
The victim’s family agreed to pardon the rapist, on the condition that ‘her brother would commit the same act with the suspect’s sister’, dawn.com reports.
A dozen people attending a meeting between the two families agreed to the terms, and the brother subsequently had sex with the suspect’s sister on March 21.
A police officer found out about the case when the two families prepared legal documents agreeing not to press charges against each other.
Pir Mahal Police Sub-Inspector Shaukat Ali Javed saw the and [sic] reported the families to his superiors.
All 12 people in attendance , including four women, of which one was the victim of the second rape, were arrested on Saturday….

Islam is obviously a religion for males (I didn’t use men on purpose). What male in rut wouldn’t love to be allowed to rape the suspect’s sister by “court” order. That the NOW gang isn’t upset by this shows they share a common spiritual root with the rapists…

Maybe I read it wrong, but I don’t think it was a court order, rather two families meeting under sharia provisions to work out a mutually agreed payback and thus avoiding police charges. Police have now become involved. It will be interesting to see how this pans out.Sharia is curse on humanity.

Firstly, it is very difficult to find an actual rape case in sharia where four male witnesses testified in favour of the woman. From what I have read, the women is accused of witch craft and murdered on that count as well as adultery.

What everyone fails to remember I think is how inbred this bunch is. Thousands of years mating with first cousins produces genetic disaster. This is not uncommon. I’ve read other similar incidents in Pakistan where it’s not a “Pardon/Reconciliation Agreement” between families, but instead it’s an adjudication ordered by the village judicial authority, superordinate to police.
