Shin Bet, Israel’s top security and intelligence agency, along with police in the Jewish state, foiled a plot from ISIS to attack the Temple Mount.
Three Muslims who live in Israel were arrested.
The attack was due to take place in the early fall, and was planned to be similar to the one in July 2017 that left two Israeli border police officers dead.

Three Israeli Arabs from the town of Umm al-Fahm were arrested in recent weeks in connection with a plotted shooting attack that was to take place in September at the Al Aqsa Mosque, similar to the July 14, 2017 attack in which two Israeli Border Guard Police officers — Kamil Sha’anan and Ha’il Stawi — were murdered.
This time, the attack was thwarted thanks to precise intelligence information that led to the timely arrest of the cell members — Muhammad Masoud Jabarin, age 20; Imad Lutfi Jabarin, age 20; and a 16-year-old minor — even before they managed to procure weapons.
All three were indicted Monday in the district court.
Two of the them were also charged with planning to carry out an ISIS-style shooting attack on a Tel Aviv synagogue, where one of the Jabarins had worked.
In addition, the cell members also considered attacking other sacred buildings, synagogues and churches, as well as security forces, in addition to carrying out vehicular and other attacks over the Christmas holiday.
Two of the cell members are supporters of the murderous Islamic State terrorist organization and were aiming to carry out their attacks on the group’s behalf.
“The Israel Security Agency views Israelis who support Islamic State to be a grave threat, especially those who are in contact with the organization and operate on its behalf inside the State of Israel,” said the Shin Bet in a statement.
“The ISA will continue to monitor suspects and take the necessary enforcement measures to thwart both the spread of Islamic State ideology in Israel and the carrying out of any actions whatsoever that harm the security of the state.”

Why doesn’t Israel simply admit its mistake and end the Waqf? The Temple Mount belongs to Israel for many reasons – surviving wars of annihilation over it for example. One very absurd & even vague verse in the Koran doesn’t make it Muslim.

of Arabia. Not only is there no historical record of Mecca existing

As long as the Arabs continue to push their scenario that the state of Israel is an interloper, and must be pushed into the sea, peace will never come to that region. These type of incidents will continue, and Iran will at some point decide to attempt an all out push to destroy Israel. Clearly, those who lead Israel know that my last comments are closer to the truth then whether there is any real possibility of a safe two state solution. After all these years you would have expected the Arabs to have seen for themselves that they would be so much better off living harmoniously with Israel, then continue their saga of terrorism and threatening Israel’s people with death. It is likely that Israel still rues the day it abandoned Gaza, and now has an enemy to its west, with another enemy to its east. Although I hate the thought of bloodshed, and I am afraid that the Arabs will not avoid that happenstance, the parties involved must be made to see the light that Israel is there to stay, and that cooperating with Israel is in the regions best interests for all its people. How can that be made to happen, I ask?
