Breitbart News: CPAC SOCIAL MEDIA CENSORSHIP PANEL CANCELLED

141

Tune in at 8:05 AM Eastern time for this breaking story. I will be on Breitbart News Daily on SiriusXM with Alex Marlow to discuss why CPAC canceled AFDI’s ground-breaking panel at CPAC.

I received a late night call, they demanded I remove one of the speakers from the panel. I refused. It is unconscionable that CPAC would demand the removal of a speaker on a panel addressing the freedom of speech.

What’s interesting is so many on the panel thought they were the problem, a glaring example of the problems we face. But it didn’t matter who it was. We cannot accept the silencing of our colleagues. We can disagree, of course, and debate. But banning and shutting us down. No, that’s what the left does. That is not who we are.

Story continues below advertisement

CPAC has always been problematic — and I put up with an enormous amount of grief from them to get this done. But they crossed the line.

More to come.

Pro-immigration , Pro-jihadi RINO’s run CPAC. And that is reason why they did not speak up for christians persecuted in Middle east and also kept quiet when some of them who made it to US were deported by obama.

Dems including Obama have not only denied refugees status to christians from middle east who are real refugee but even have deported christians back to ISIS territory to be slaughtered by ISIS http://tinyurl.com/mtc3xch

How silly you are. President Trump is 3 points higher than Obama at the same point in his first term. Tax cuts are making normal people change their thinking.. As I am getting more money today than I did last year. Maybe $100/mo or 400/mo.. Nothing like the crumbs Nancy Pelosi has, she having been rich to the tune of more than one hundred million dollars in her almost 40 years in Congress. How did she get that?

The GOP would probably like nothing more than to lose the majority, and become the minority party again.

I think they enjoy being able to bitch about everything Democrats pass into law, so they can look good in the eyes of their constituents, and fool them into thinking they actually stand for something.

Even when Bathhouse Barry was president, the GOP could pass laws knowing that Barry would veto them, and then not have enough votes to overcome the veto, and so they’d continue their pissing & moaning.

Some people are never truly happy, unless they have something to bitch about.

Now with President Trump in office, they realize they have to put up or shut up.

And I’ve told people that even with Trump getting elected, it wouldn’t surprise me in the least to see the GOP lose one or both houses this year, despite the Democrats having no platform, and absolutely nothing to offer, other than being anti-Trump – and that’s enough for millions. It happened with Barry in 2010 after he ramrodded Obamacare up our poop chutes.

Dan-

Not sure I agree with you here. Pamela engages with a very in-your-face style. Nobody who follows her- even those favorably inclined toward her- would be the least surprised that she would go public with the details of why the panel was cancelled. But doing so eliminates her from contention for the Ms. Congeniality Award. More tactful, discrete people would have kept the details of the abrupt change under wraps. But I think I can see why CPAC wanted Jim Hoft removed from the panel- his presence would, in and of itself, have been a public relations issue that would have been a distraction from the perspective the panel was intended to offer.

Tact and discretion are not Pamela’s style, and she pays a price in terms of access for engaging with a style that some find both unnecessarily abrasive and unhelpful to a cause they share. In that regard, she is akin to her intellectual mentor.

L.S. I can see your point, but with respect, I do not agree.

You cannot tiptoe high enough over the tulips to satisfy the demands of the Left – or the Islamists.

Establishing any ‘tone’ with them simply confers upon them a moral authority they do not deserve.

And it is an admission of the moral, ethical, and legal inferiority of your own position.

Sorry – but I have been witness to the Left’s morality – and heard the witness of many survivors of the Islamist morality –

And there is no moral equivalence between anti-Left and anti-Islamist and the Left and the Islamist.

Dan Knight

Wow, unlike some here, I can manage to read a post without reading “puerile name calling” into a post.

My response to “engaging with a style that some find both unnecessarily abrasive and unhelpful” was to associate ‘style’ with the objectives.

CPAC’s style is now – and has been for some time – to stall, delay, and engage in endless blabbing about how to find the right way to control the ‘Right.’ It is a strategy designed to lose.

And it is so obvious – one has sufficient probable cause to ask if the objective of the ACU is to advance the causes of the Left – without being accused of ‘name calling.’

This is also why I stopped bothering with the GOP and sought out other forums for advocacy.

No one in the GOP inner circles around here was interested in ‘tactful’ discussion or ‘discreet’ solutions to any problem other than how to control conservative voices. As if shutting up the folks demanding that the Left stop their War on Us could ever be a ‘solution’ to the problem of the Left.

I finally realized that when I agreed to be ‘tactful’ and ‘discreet’ – it meant that my team – and that’s all the hundreds of victims I represent – lost.

I’m not interested in dignified ways to justify the Left’s crimes. I’m interested in stopping the Left before the next crime occurs. Anyone who thinks otherwise is not helpful.

Dan Knight
Dan Knight

Not necessarily. Yes, name calling is unwarranted in a civil discussion, and it is often a sign of a weak argument. I love it when trolls respond to my posts with either name-calling, ad hominems, or both. It’s always fun.

However, this forum is a ComBox – not the Roman Senate. Here we espouse our views in an uncensored and unfiltered format. Many of us are simply expressing our frustration and impotence in the fact of blatant, rampant, outrageous abuse of our government, out body politic and our community. We are not preparing a ‘White Paper.’ I would not even have the time for this post – but I’m waiting for bureaucrats for a State Meeting on behalf of my brother (He has Downs.)

We simply cannot expect everyone to meet the standards of formal discourse at all times. And let me hasten to add that some of the regulars here – including moi – have pounded others with names. And in fact, you may notice I have not defended you from the insinuations and profanity hurled at you. This may be taken as condemnation of you, or an endorsement of the other posters, but in fact I take it as neither of those.

I accept posts with profanity, and understand the outrage without condoning it or condemning it. This is because I am NOT a fit judge of others’ posts. I often post my own ‘troll’ remarks condemning ‘Leftists’ – etc. – to express my own emotional outrage.

Also I do not see it as a personal matter. Posts are posts – and are often ambiguous and misunderstood. Getting upset because others are upset is a waste of good energy, and a disturbance of personal serenity – ‘inner peace’ to wit.

Again, I see this an ideal so high as to be worthless. I would defend an ideal higher than that which we can achieve as an aspiration – an objective to give direction without the expectation of its achievement – but policing our ‘tone’ is a hopeless.

And let me hasten to add: If it were achieved … The “Enemy” – to employ the Left’s term for us – will supply the vulgar, inarticulate, uninformed, angry, White Supremacists from Central Casting to fill any space we vacate.

Let me note – I have noticed an incredible increase in racist remarks on right-wing sites I go to – including anti-Gay, and anti-Semitic, and ‘white supremacist’ – over the last ten years. Over the last two years, the number has shot up, and I’ve had to resort to the block feature. While I assume most are ‘legit’ RWNJs, it is by no means obvious that they all are.

I’ve been a RWNJ for almost thirty years – since I was forcibly ejected from a campaign planning meeting for a Democratic State Rep in Alaska – and I can count the number of actual these nut jobs I have met at GOP or Tea Party rallies on one hand. So when I see a troll spewing such vitriol, I am always suspicious.

These types of RWNJs are far more objectionable and dangerous than anyone who is merely upset and resorts to an uncouth remark. So I see no good reason or justice to police the remarks on the ComBox.

Liatris, I don’t know you, but after reading your post, I’d say you were an ass! Why should she hide in a corner and pretend everything was hunky dory, when she was just stabbed in the back by mental midget Schilling?!? The more people like Pam draw back that curtain and show everyone what the CPAC Wizard of Oz REALLY looks like, the better! Also, why should she agree to throw Hoft under the bus, when all he did was express what MANY Americans are now seeing daily on the TV: Namely, the Dem-rat operatives of the Left have totally taken over this latest iteration of the Gun Control business – and the young high school students, still wet behind the ears, are easy pawns for manipulative operators working to push – and achieve? – the globalist agenda of disarming the American people! Yes, indeed, the stakes are THAT high! That’s why we can’t put up with the shenanigans of the politically weak gang at CPAC!

L.S. True, Joy resorted to ‘puerile name-calling’ …

But if you’re taking the ‘high road’ – and you’re going to school the rest of us for our juvenile use of the language, you ought to begin by growing a thicker skin. She’s just responding to your post. We don’t know you, and it’s not personal even if we think or feel that it is.

Now – full disclosure – I do not always take my own advice either. But this is my advice. Again, sorry for how this post sounds so tactless and critical, but I’m limited to what my writing ability can do.

But I have been in the situation of standing in front of over hundred folks who were very pissed off – and taking the responsibility for my actions – without any opportunity to respond with wit or sarcasm of any kind. And I understand how one wants to respond to name-calling.

But I would suggest you be more tactful and discreet with Joy. Not because she deserves it, but because you’re supposed to be setting the example.

That – or withdraw your unrealistic (IMHO) suggestions with respect to Pamela’s leadership style.

If you cannot resolve this conflict (and I’m not judging you btw, I’m just making the observation), in the manner you suggested (tact etc), it is hardly reasonable for any of us to take up your suggestion and use it as our own.

(That said, I think your suggestion works in certain circumstances – such as between parties with conflicting interests who also share mutual interests – which is how I have used it. But that’s a different discussion.)

Dan, I do not iniatiate uncivil language (ok, I’ve called certain comments idiotic). As for calling Joy a “ bitch” in response to her comments, well it’s not a “nice” word, but it does have content and meaning, and I think accurately describes a person who presents the way she does. I simply do not wish to engage with such people, who seem to flock to this site.

Calling me an “ass” for having a perspective different from hers, but hardly a malicious one, shows what a limited person she is. I think her style- which is rather less harsh than some others here- does not serve the counter jihad movement well and is certainly off putting. BTS, I am here and have supported Pamela for a number of years, even though I sometimes disagree with her and find her tone unhelpful.

Amen! What these high school kids should be outraged about is their school system and the FBI left them totally unprotected …and still do to this day. What they should be demonstrating for now is real security at that their schools on the same model as the schools in Israel….no gunman gets in there.
These kids are just pawns for the Libtards and Globalists….because they have no idea what is actually going on….
If a killer goes into a school with a machete and hacks kids to death, do we outlaw blades of any kind? If someone goes into a school with a baseball bat and bashes heads in….do you outlaw bats? If someone used a lead pipe to attack people…do we outlaw pipes?
Of course not. It’s not the weapon …..dummies…it’s the one holding it. Weapons gave us a free country against England…or we wouldn’t be here….and like it or not…that is the way of all civilization since it began. You build something that other lazy and stupid people want…they will come and take it if you can’t stop them.

The following is a blueprint by Saul Alinsky (RULES FOR RADICALS) and Hillary’s beloved hero..of how to conquer a country the socialist way:

How to create a social state by Saul Alinsky (and as practiced by Democrats and progressives):
There are eight levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a social state. The first is the most important. However – #6 is in play here.
1) Healthcare– Control healthcare and you control the people.
2) Poverty – Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.
3) Debt – Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.
4) Gun Control– Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.
5) Welfare – Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income).
6) Education – Take control of what people read and listen to – take control of what children learn in school.
7) Religion – Remove the belief in the God from the Government and schools.
8) Class Warfare – Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.
Does any of this sound like what has happened/is happening to the United States?
Alinsky merely simplified Vladimir Lenin’s original scheme for world conquest by communism, under Russian rule.
Lenin described his converts as “Useful Idiots.” The Useful Idiots have destroyed every nation in which they have seized power and control.
It is presently happening at an alarming rate in the U.S. If people read this, and still say everything is just fine, they are “useful idiots”.

Dan Knight

Obviously not. As long as substitutes exist, no make, model, style, or type of weapon can be considered a necessity. That does not mean we can exclude the possibility of needing a long-rifle as a defensive weapon or a hunting weapon.

What is more significant is this: As long as we focus on ‘Gun Control’ – meaning criminalization of legal gun ownership – the Left and the Right are both absolved from the following:

1. The failure to take nonpartisan preventive measures,
2. The failure to make sure Law Enforcement do its job,
3. The decision – now decades old – to dismantle our mental health institutions and throw those folks out onto the street. The objective was to create a homelessness crisis to blame on America – and it worked. But we ought to be able to backpedal to pick up threats. (And I won’t start on penal institution reform.) And,
4. The Ever Present Slippery Slope. Give the Left the Gun Control they want now, and the ensuing violence in our streets will not be blamed on their failure to let LEOs do their job, or other aspects necessary for a functioning program. Instead they will go for more. More cost. More intrusion. And more damage they can blame on the rest of us.

Without dealing with these points, it would be impossible to determine if a naked ban on any weapon has any effect at all.

I echo Dan Knight’s enthusiastic comment! THESE are the truths that should be in the forefront of discussion, but, of course, that might require a little extra reading & research on the part of too many who can’t be bothered! But the role of the late – and extremely UN-lamented! – Sol Alinsky, cannot be underestimated – even today! His tactics for revolutionary outcomes (“community organizing” – what an effin’ fraud!!) cannot be studied or examined enough if we are to understand the motivations and political leanings of today’s ugly politicians who are more enthusiastic Alinsky followers than ever!! That damn radical, unfortunately, is still haunting us from the grave – and from the far reaches of Hell! He’s as close to a modern-day Satan as we’ve ever had! And THIS is the man who had a great deal of evil influence on both Obozo and Hitlery!! And, IMHO, we still haven’t completely dodged the Alinsky bullet, either!! Other disciples are lurking in the wings, and they’re as deadly as ever!

If Pamela was a shrinking violet, she would not be the leader she is.

Most folks who have never tried to lead do not understand that.

And yes, I have taken the podium in front of hundreds of people – and it was not easy even when my audience was friendly. Stand in front of a hundred people who hate your guts – and try to keep your composure.

It is easy to criticize. What’s hard is to defend someone who tells the truth when the truth is very, very unpopular.

Shrinking violets – or in this case a prairie gay feather, an herbaceous perennial flower native to eastern North America (h/t wikipedia) – would never be vocal opponents of Islam.

“Tack and discretion” in this day and time is a recipe for failure…We’ve had decades now of alleged “conservatives” being tactful and trying to be discretionary…..that got us Papa Bush, Clinton, GW Bush….and ultimately the Muslim Marxist Obama….by the end of Obama we were backed into a corner……
The weeping and wailing of the Dimms and RINOs you hear now is because they spent decades building the Deep State Swamp…..they thought they were home free to push Globalism over the edge and done……
…then BLAM! Along came Trump….everything they worked for since at least the 1930s got flushed down the toilet…..and how did he do it…and why did we put him office…..because he came out swinging…without “tact and discretion”….

Pamela, of course, has been doing it since 9/11 starting with stopping the filthy Muslims in NY trying to put a Mosque on the site of the attack…..which is what Muslims do after a great victory over the infidels all through history…..and as a long time reader of Pamela’s I can tell you, she did not worry about “tact and discretion” when she went after stopping that Mosque.
If she had been tactful and discretionary these long years….she would not be banned in the UK….which is now totally Sharia compliant and crazed….

Long live Pamela and all Freedom fighters.

“Tact and discretion” … is a delaying tactic.

It’s used to distract and destroy the Left’s enemies. Keep the Enemy’s eyes focused on the talking at the negotiation table while undermining the walls.

The Left is always calling their Enemies, ‘BABY KILLERSSS!!!’ or ‘HITLER!!!’

Meanwhile we’re not supposed to tactlessly and indiscreetly point out that they are killing babies as a tactic in their War on Us.

CPAC – “Compliant Political Action Conference”. No value in attending or even speaking at another institutionalized “thought police” organization. They are just another left wing, authoritative, anti-free speech group that over indulges in political buzzwords and self defined “conservatism”.

Of course, he’s a deceased character, ’cause he blew himself up in one of his home-made-bomb terror attacks; but, as in all cartoon life (remember Road Runner & Bugs Bunny, among others!), characters that are initially killed still always come back to life right away to cause even more havoc!!

I don’t know how Pamela puts up with the threats, rejection, disappointments, hostility, reprisals, etc. It’s obvious to me that God has selected her for this difficult role. It’s amazing too how many women are in the forefront of leadership against the Islamic threat and in favor of free speech to talk about this and other matters. Include Brigitte Gabriel, Nonie Darwish, one outspoken lady in Gt. Britain whose name for the moment escapes me, Ms. Cyrus who works with Jamie Glazov, the Christian lady in Pakistan who has been sentenced to death, Nikki Haley, etc. But Geller is the most penetrating intellect and gutsy one of them all. Almighty God, I thank you for this woman.

I have mixed emotions on this.

We need a VOICE for the fascism going on with Twitter, Facebook, Google etc.. Nothing is being done to combat it. It just gets worse. OTOH, requiring a person to be removed on a “free speech” panel is absurd and magnifies the “free speech” problem. CPAC has become a RHINO get together pretending to be “conservative” for the optics. How many times have they told us what they knew we wanted to hear, and then did the opposite?

FACEBOOK JUST BANNED ME for 24 hours for posting this picture, one that is history. They are also now more aware of my news page and are tracking it under more intense scrutiny. They have removed several of my posts there, including one I recently put up about the Florida shootings, under the excuse that they are “spam.” They are not. They are simply revealing the truth. But, since it goes against the leftist agenda……..
It is so unfair, unreasonable and ridiculous, but there is nothing we can do about it in the Facebook dictatorship.
This is really scary, not to mention outrageous. It makes me wonder where I am living. Nazi Germany? Communist Russia or China?
Not that it will do any good, but I really let them have it on their “response” page and on Twitter. I am livid.
Many of us who have lost our romance with Facebook and Twitter, which also shadow bans people, are going over to Gab. https://gab.ai/
The more of us who do so, the more these fascists will feel the pinch.

Gun Violence Advocates – no matter what they call themselves – cannot stand the truth.

Unfortunately they control the debate so thoroughly – due to corruption – I cannot even post my first assertion without pointing out that it is the Gun Control Advocates who promote the violence going on in Chicago, LA, D.C. etc.

Of course – if Fascist Book was not censoring you and shadow banning you (b/c they do that too) – they would not be the Useful Idiots they were created to be.

I don’t understand all the issues around this but me thinks it would be prudent for Pam not to lose her platform for the sake of one speaker. Her voice is too important (and that of the others) to pull out completely. It’s great Pam has been totally uncompromising (and she has had to be) but in this instance more is lost than gained. Thoughts?

“You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometime, you’ll find, you get what you need.” – the Rolling Stones.

This world is imperfect. Many readers here may be familiar with a free speech event held in Toronto, Canada on June 28, 2017, featuring Jordan Peterson, Gad Sadd, Oren Amitay and another panelist who was supposed to be Faith Goldy.

This event had been denied venue and cancelled at the university twice, and only by the greatest of luck finally found a venue. However, Faith Goldy had become too hot to handle due to her having been a guest on a panel featuring Richard Spencer after Charlottesville. It was decided to drop her from the panel. Many were outraged, as Faith Goldy was exteremely popular and adored by all.

However, you need to look at things in their context. The fact that the event took place at all was a miracle. The panelists that did speak were tenured professors on a tether. They can only stray so far from the reservation. They don’t have the same freedom of movement independent actors have. They are making a wonderful contribution to their institutions and it would be a shame if they got ousted because of this event. We couldn’t have everything we wanted but the day that event took place we got what we needed.

Like I just posted on Gateway Pundit, you’re in good company and must be doing something right to tick off the swamp creatures that infest CPAC. They hated Reagan too and probably tried to block him from speaking and probably came pretty close to it. And that was before the swamp became anywhere as radicalized as it is today. Now they no longer have any better angels.

As I said at GP, “All true conservatarians should unite with her and boycott CPAC, then start work in earnest for a real independent conservatarian conference next year with a fresh name, a truly American vision, and a passion for winning the youth back from the jaws of the swamp and its proxy left. That ultimate goal was Andrew Breitbart’s mission and it should be ours.”

I’m not always for packing up and leaving. In cases of internet public squares, I think it’s important to stay and fight. But what is CPAC? It’s nothing. It certainly isn’t the public square or anything that important. It’s a conference of people in Washington DC who are googly-eyed at the trappings of the swamp and want a gig at the Heritage Foundation. I should know – I’ve been to them and seen it firsthand. Woohoo – yawn. That’s not a political conference to change the direction of the country by saving our youth; it’s a pony show. We can do much better than that.

The issue is whether CPAC will allow a panel discussion to take place discussing free speech on social media, which is the town square (Marsh v Alabama). Since CPAC seems increasingly to be the arm of the swamp, it might be time to replace it.

Pamela has been banned or marginalized in the past by CPAC, one of whose founders/organizers. Gover Norquist (formerly of tax-reform “fame”), who, it turns out, married a Muslim and converted to that glorious ROP, much to the detriment of free speech at CPAC. So, this is the result – even though Norquist may no longer be involved (if he’s even still alive!).

Yes, it true. We allow them to speak and even allow one RUBBISH to become “President”. We find it amusing and embarrassing for the Negro who certainly was not qualified in any way to be its leader even to our own hurt. We put up with that.

But the left will not have it when we put in one of our own. Day and night plotting to remove him. That should tell you a lot what the left is about. It is about EVIL. Yet God operates the same way.

Granting Satan to prove his carnal way on men. Allowing great EVIL to foster on his creation. But Satan won’t allow Yahuah HIS way. No, it is written he even tried to USURP and CEASE the THRONE from his VERY creator to KNOCK him down.

Statement from Chinese Workers Network (Toronto & York Region Labour Council), the Progressive Chinese of Québec (PCQ) and the Asian Canadian Labour Alliance (ACLA)

PLEASE distribute widely. French and Chinese versions will soon be posted.

Statement against Hate and Fascism

February 20, 2018

Chinese Canadian, Asian Canadian, and Chinese Québec groups are concerned about recent demonstrations by some Chinese Canadians protesting against what they perceive to be anti-Chinese sentiment resulting from the falsely reported attack on an eleven-year-old girl wearing a hijab in Toronto in early January. Such individuals have zeroed in on the girl’s identification of an “Asian man” as the assailant and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s support of her and Muslim Canadians, in general, as evidence of both Trudeau’s and Muslims’ racism against the Chinese community, despite the fact that the “Asian man” was not specifically identified as Chinese, that no motives for the false report have been stated, or that the Prime Minister made no mention of the Chinese community.

We believe that this is a dangerous and unjustifiable road that these particular Chinese Canadians are choosing to go down, as they construe facts from this event in such a way so as to create a controversy where none actually exists. There is a potential for great harm in choosing to adopt such a false perspective, as it can only lead to further stigmatisation of Muslims in Canada (some of whom have Asian origins) and the expansion of Islamophobic ideas.

We would like to remind all members of our own Chinese communities here in Canada and in Quebec that any attack against one minoritized and marginalized group is an attack against us all. We are alarmed by the xenophobic speeches given during the demonstration in Ottawa on February 18, 2018, equating refugees with terrorists, twisting calls for anti-islamophobic action as promoting “inequality,” and attempting to create divisions and hierarchies among racialised minorities. It is shameful that these demonstrations have come on the heels of the first anniversary of the massacre of six Muslim men at the mosque in the Quebec City suburb of Sainte-Foy. Let us not add to the burden of pain of the Muslim community by needlessly inventing a problem to protest based on groundless fears and non-existent evidence.

It is not so long ago that we were in their shoes, facing immigration bans, racist stereotypes, and false accusations of unsavoury behaviour. One lesson learned from the Head Tax and Chinese Exclusion Act is that by targeting legislation against one group of people, the government creates a hateful atmosphere in the larger society. Racialized communities should unite and use the virtues of empathy and solidarity in the fight against the evils of hate and fascism.

As Chinese Canadians and Quebeckers, we denounce all attempts by fascist and far right groups to co-opt members of our communities into their campaign of hate, xenophobia, and, especially, Islamophobia. We stand with our Muslim community members, we stand with asylum seekers, we stand with the First Nations, and we categorically refuse

to participate in any form of hate and racism against ANY racialised group.
