‘I Am Sick of Hijab, Sharia Law, Sharia Police’

34

Women have recently taken to the streets in the Islamic Republic of Iran, calling for an end to sharia law and the elimination of the obligatory hijab.

Some even removed their hijabs publicly — acts of bravery in a land that would think nothing of beating such women for breaking religious laws.

But where were the female feminists? Where were the women of the West uniting in solidarity with these bold sisters?

Curiously, nowhere to be found.

The Gatestone Institute has more:

Feminists claim to be champions of women rights around the world. They argue that “universality” is a key component of their cause.

Perhaps it is worthwhile, though, to examine their nice slogans against reality.

Women took to the street recently in the front lines of protests in the Islamic Republic of Iran. The demands of the women were clear: Remove Sharia law, eliminate the obligatory hijab, improve the rights of women, and not to treat women as slaves and second-class citizens. Simple.

Many women demonstrated their resistance by bravely removing their hijab, thereby violating the Islamist law of the land. One photograph that has become a symbol of the protests on social media, is of an Iranian woman raising her fist in the air while she goes walks through tear gas. A video and pictures that also have become a symbol of the protests, show an unidentified woman removing her hijab, placing it on a stick and waving it. She was reportedly arrested shortly after her act of defiance.

In a video, a woman protesting in the streets is seen saying, “You raised your fists and ruined our lives. Now we raise our fists. Be men, join us. I, as a woman, will stand in front and protect you. Come represent your country.” Another woman, in a crime punishable by death, courageously chanted against the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Her chants encouraged and prompted men behind her to chant also. These women can be labeled true heroes.

During the protests, in Iran, however, Western feminist groups did not even issue a simple statement of support for these extraordinary women, let alone take any concrete actions to help them.

The Iranian regime brutally cracked down on the protesters. It killed more than 20 people and injured many more. The regime also arrested more than 3,700 people, including young girls and women.

Again, there was not one statement from Western so-called feminists condemning the Iranian regime.

Leila, a young Iranian woman interviewed by the author via Skype, pointed out that, “The regime wants you to think that either there are no protests, or that the protest are solely about the economy. But I am not protesting the economy. Women are protesting the repressive Islamist laws. I am sick of Hijab, Sharia law and Sharia police. Women are sick of the Sharia police monitoring them constantly for what they wear, what they say, what they drink, where they go, and what kind of relationships they have”.

What now is the fate of these women? The history of the Islamist Republic of Iran shows us that arrested women are faced with atrocities such as rape, torture or execution. Some die in detention surreptitiously. In the Sharia court, ambiguous charges will be brought against them as you are reading this, charges such as “Moharebeh” or “Waging war against God”, a capital offense in Iran; “insulting Islam”; “being corrupt on earth”; “endangering the national security”; “insulting the Supreme Leader”, or “insulting Allah (God)” for defying the rules. With no due or fair process, the detainees are also denied access to lawyers. The Islamist judiciary of Iran has already announced that some of the detainees face the death penalty.

Where are the feminists and mainstream leftist media? These women need support right now. They are facing severe retribution. If you want to see true feminists, these women are the real promoters of women’s rights: they are risking their lives. They are not just uttering nice slogans in a nice, safe environment.

No one is asking Western feminists to be as brave as these women. Cannot they just simply issue a statement of support from behind their comfortable desks? Can they really keep on turning such a blind eye on what they claim is their important cause?

I’m afraid the feminists here in the U.S. are doing what feminists do: promoting a liberal agenda and hating Trump. They are not for freedom even though they say they are. In their twisted way of thinking they are for promoting the islamist cause which will only lead to their subjugation of bondage (which they claim to hate) and to torture and death. My heart goes out to the true heroes, the brave women who are stepping up trying to push back against the oppressive death cult of islam.

These “feminists,” despite their finding common cause with Islam, are at their core anti-male – and anti-American. Nowhere with those ‘p-hats’ did I see any American flags, and at least one had on display the “rainbow flag” of tyranny, totalitarianism, statism, loss of individual freedom, and utter hatred of Christianity and the Judeo-Christian moral structure. It shows how deep their symbiotic alliance with the likes of Linda Sarsour is, for there to be crickets chirping time from them on this issue.

But as far as the anti-male hatemongering being ginned up by recent reports of past instances of sexual misconduct, there are other things these hypocritical harpies will not touch with a 10-foot pole, of which I will name but a few: a) The “anything goes” / “if it feels good, do it in the road” ethos, dating back to the 1960’s, which was the guiding philosophy behind the “sexual revolution” which effectively reduced women to the equivalent of meat (and interrelated thereto, the entire porn culture cultivated by the likes of Hugh Hefner, Bob Guccione and Larry Flynt), and b) The rap / hip-hop culture (another subset that has partnered and aligned with the forces of jihad), whose “lyrics” often promote the most vile, degrading behaviors and actions towards women, and in language (and teminology, i.e. ‘b—-es and ho’s’) that, it is said in some corners, would make even President Trump blush.

The only way sharia will be stopped is by those living under it rising up and overthrowing their oppressors. No one can do this for them. It will be ugly.

And again, crickets chirping from the feminazis here. This is one of a thousand reasons why their #MeToo and “Time’s Up” movements are utterly reactionary and a clearly anti-male witch-hunt.

What is amazing is that any women, especially in America, would even consider supporting sharia, it is like blacks supporting islam, which today promptes and practices slavery, or the gay community, who are specified to be murdered in the qur’an, supporting islam. People are simply stupid in some instances.

To be a feminist is to be a Marxist, which means, to be a totalitarian.

Feminism today is just playing the victim half of the time, and spewing hatred for all males the other half. And glamorizing Islam whenever possible as well.

Even if they become Persia again, they would likely be an adversary, albeit a more sane and honorable one. Persia has always been an adversary of the West, from the days of Greece, Rome and Byzantium onwards, even long before Islam. Indeed, they were probably Rome’s most enduring and implacable foe.

The Persians and Romans actually were briefly allied against the Arab Muslims during their first major wars of jihad in the Middle East, joined by their Arab Christian allies, but were unable to properly coordinate their counterattacks and were both defeated as a result:

“After Khalid left Iraq for Syria, Suwad, the fertile area between the Euphrates and the Tigris, remained unstable. Sometimes it was occupied by the Persians and sometimes by the Muslims. This “tit-for-tat” struggle continued until emperor Yazdegerd III consolidated his power and sought alliance with Heraclius in 635 in an effort to prepare for a massive counterattack. Heraclius married his daughter to Yazdegerd III, in accordance with Roman tradition to seal an alliance. Heraclius then prepared for a major offensive in the Levant. Meanwhile, Yazdegerd ordered a concentration of massive armies to reclaim Iraq for good. This was supposed to be a well-coordinated attack by both emperors to annihilate the power of their common enemy, Caliph Umar.”

Too bad, too. With their heavy cataphracts they were probably the best shot at stopping the contagion called Islam early on. Too weak separately, that alliance might have made the difference.

Women in Iran haven’t been truly free for the last 39 years.

But what isn’t being even touched, let alone reported on, is the extent of collusion between the Obama cabal and the Iranian mullahs: a) during the 2008 and 2012 campaigns and after the respective elections (their millions in campaign contributions and soliciting illegal foreign contributions), and b) all through his Presidency, based on: his doing nothing when the Green Revolution took place and then when the regime crushed it; his funneling billions in taxpayer money to the government; the treasonous nuclear deal; and finally, his killing DEA investigations into Hezbollah money-laundering. And one key is his Iranian-born “adviser,” Valerie Jarrett.

Why was the video of the woman waving her scarf on a pole blocked out by pop ups?
Seems that even on this site the enemies of free speech are busy at work preventing us from seeing the video of this brave young woman, who BTW has been missing since then.

If most American feminists are like the ones in my family, they care more about elephants in Africa than murdered babies, Muslim women and other egregious sins of our time. And they don’t care so much about the elephants as they do blaming Trump for considering waving an anti-tusk law. Before global warming was disproven, they were upset about the polar bears. Why do many leftists care so much more for potentially threatened animals that babies who are being murdered after birth? I say, if one can kill a baby after birth and call it abortion, than we should abort those who support this practice.
