Polls Shows 52 Percent Want Merkel Off the Ballot in ‘New Election’

24

Angela Merkel is in the midst of running for her fourth term as chancellor of Germany — but given the polls, it doesn’t look good for her.

Fully 52 percent of recently polled Germans don’t want her name on the ballot.

Angela Merkel is certainly not seeing the love of the German people in her latest run for the chancellor seat.

It’s not exactly a huge surprise. Merkel’s favor has been falling with the German people for years — coincidentally, in time with her all-courts-press for open doors to migrants and refugees from mostly Muslim nations.

Apparently, the people are tired of their country’s massive and dramatic cultural shift.

RT has more:

As German Chancellor Angela Merkel tries to secure a fourth term at the helm of a new grand coalition, a poll has shown a majority would rather vote again. The results also suggest Merkel should not be on the ballot.

Three months after Germans went to the polls, they are still without a government. Their frustration is apparently growing, with the new study finding that 34 percent of respondents want new elections. The Insa survey, commissioned by Germany’s Focus magazine showed that only 30 percent expressed support for a continuation of talks to try and form a grand coalition. A minority government would be viewed favorably by just 15 percent of Germans.

Some 52 percent said Chancellor Merkel should not spearhead her Christian Democratic Party (CDU) in a ‘fresh election.’

The findings from another recent poll, ordered by the ARD broadcaster, showed more than half of respondents, 52 percent, are skeptical about restoring the coalition which has governed the EU powerhouse for years.

On Sunday, talks between Merkel’s CDU/CSU alliance and the Social Democratic Party (SPD) chaired by Martin Schulz got underway in an attempt to revive the so-called ‘grand coalition.’

Merkel won a fourth term in the federal election in September last year, but her party performed poorly, and thus unable to form a majority government. The SPD also returned its worst result in decades, while the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) formation became the third party in the chamber.

Merkel said she thought the attempts could be “successful” this time, as she arrived for the talks – set to last for five days. She has already failed to form an alliance with two smaller parties, and even the SPD appears to not have much of an appetite to join forces. An anti-coalition group “NoGroKo” (no grand coalition) has emerged within Schulz’s party, suggesting the SPD should go into opposition and part ways with Merkel’s bloc.

“Following the 2017 elections result we cannot simply say: We are doing Groko [Grand coalition] as before,” SPD deputy chairman, Thorsten Schafer-Gumbel told Der Tagesspiegel.
“arty leader Schulz said they would try to “push through” as much of their policies during the talks, adding that the outcome of the negotiations was unclear, Reuters reported. The parties might not find common ground on immigration issues, for example, as well as on healthcare and other social programs and relations within Europe, experts warn.

The current talks are exploratory, and are not expected to result in any final decisions. The two parties would engage in full-blown coalition talks, but only if the SPD leadership is backed by enough members who would endorse such a move. And that could last for another couple of months. Germany faces new elections or a minority Merkel government should the negotiations collapse.

The long delay has damaged Berlin’s reputation on the international stage, president of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany, Andreas Vosskuhle suggested. “The so far great trust of our international partners in Germany’s political capacity for action has suffered since the federal elections. Germany is not used to the fact that the formation of a government turns to be extremely difficult,” he told the Rheinischen Post.

Do see your point, but no one can possibly be more evil than satan. As you probably already know — from the beginning of time, he raised up the Hitlers, the Stalins, the Mohammads, the Jezebels, etc. It is not merely human beings or rulers we are dealing with, but the unseen forces which cause others to do evil (Ephesians 6:12).

Apparently, some German citizens perceive their survival, and that of the nation is paramount. One has to have concern for those deeming Merkel relevant and not the duplicitous, Islamist collaborator that is the actuality.

please allow me to tell you that this female still uses her first husband’s family name. Her maiden name is Kasner and her current husband’s family name is SAUER (Sour.) That makes this person a “sauerkraut…”
“Merkel” sounds better than Kasner or Sauer, Herr Merkel may have already changed HIS name, lin a slightly different way: the Jewish man Adolf Stinktier (skunk) decided to have his name changed. The civil registrar said he understood his reasons and asked him he wished to change his name into. The Jewish man said “from now on I’d like to have it changed into PETER STINKTIER, i.e. “Peter Skunk…”

WHAT!???
ONLY 52%??????
How could the other 48% be so stupid and devoutly suicidal?
Angela Merkel has done more to destroy Germany and Europe than Adolf Hitler did and there are STILL Germans who want her on the ballot???comment image comment image

Probably many German peasants and inhabitants of small provincial towns still obey what the catholic priests and lutheran pastors when they tell them to vote for a “christian” party, while those in the bigger cities know why they keep voting for the party of this “Tussi,” (stupid female) because of the deep connections of this utterly corrupt political gang with the banks, insurance companies, industry, etc. Those christian conservatives who live “behind the moon” won’t dare to question the “authority” of the clerics and will vote “christian” again and again, , the urban ones worry about their financial interests only.
The “alternative” (????) candidate of the social democrats at the last election Martin Schulz is equally dishonest, repugnant and corrupt to the core. he’s been a member of the Brussels-EU establishment too.

The only intelligent and decent course of action should have been NOT TO GO TO THE POLLING STATIONS or make the ballot paper useless!

I pray that the citizens of Germany can vote in a leader who will look out for their best interests. It is so sad to see their culture being destroyed by migrants who their current leader is welcoming with open arms. Fight for your freedom. Don’t allow another dictator like Hitler to draw you into the depths of hell as she has been doing.
