‘ISIS selfie’ at Met stirs NYPD probe
The New York Daily News, January 3, 2019:
The NYPD is investigating images of what appears to be ISIS supporters taking selfies outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art and in view of One World Trade Center.
The Met photo shows a masked and hooded man with the ISIS logo on his scarf, standing on a snow-covered sidewalk outside the Upper East Side museum.
It began making the rounds on social media Saturday night, with the caption, “We are in your own Backyard,” said Eric Feinberg, the co-founder of GIPEC, a cyber-intelligence firm that keeps track of terrorism-related hashtags.
“The NYPD is aware of the photograph. As with all terror related threats, the NYPD is looking into the incident. At this time there are no credible threats related to New York City,” an NYPD spokesman said Tuesday night.
The photo, purportedly of a man with an ISIS insignia standing in front of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, began circulating online Saturday.

Feinberg said the photos , and others like them, are meant to sow fear, and to embolden possible lone wolf terrorists into taking action.
“Maybe it’s Photoshopped, maybe it’s not. It should be taken seriously,” he said.
Last month, a pro-ISIS online propaganda poster showed a captive NYPD Commissioner James O’Neill kneeling before a masked terrorist.

I’m afraid it’s going to take a nuclear strike in the States, Mahou. This story should wake up all Americans who have been burying their heads in the sand to the fact that the Islamic invasion and destruction of non-Muslim countries from within isn’t just taking place “way over there” in other parts of the world but is, and has been, going on right here in our own country.
