Detectives investigating the killings, described as acts of “senseless violence,” are appealing for information from the public.
Four people have been stabbed to death in a spate of New Year’s killings across London.

Separate murder investigations have been launched by police, who believe the stabbings to be unrelated.
Story continues below advertisementThree of the victims were killed on New Year’s Eve and a fourth in the early hours of New Year’s Day, Scotland Yard said.
A fifth victim is in a critical condition in hospital.
The stabbings happened in north, east and south London and are not being treated as linked.
Detectives investigating the killings, described as acts of “senseless violence”, are appealing for information from the public.
The first killing happened at around 11.30am. A teen, aged 18, died in hospital after being knifed in Larmans Road, Enfield.
At 7.30pm in Memorial Avenue, West Ham, a 20-year-old man was fatally stabbed.
At around 10.40pm, a third man – aged just 17 – died after being stabbed in Norwood Road, Tulse Hill.
And in the early hours of January 1, at around 2.30am, a 20-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Bartholomew Court, Old Street. A second male, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital suffering critical stab injuries.
Five males have been arrested in connection with the murder in Enfield. At this very early stage, there have been no arrests in the other three cases.
Commander Neil Jerome, of the Met’s Territorial Policing Command, said: “There were thousands of officers on duty across London yesterday and throughout the night, all determined to play their part in keeping the public safe.
“I am grateful to Londoners and visitors to the capital who co-operated with police – both at major celebrations in Westminster and at thousands of organised and private events across London – to enable the vast majority of people to enjoy New Year’s Eve.
“However, there were small groups who chose to engage in disorder and violence, and whose actions have had utterly tragic consequences.
“It is heart-breaking that, at a time when so many of us are contemplating what lies ahead in 2018, four families are dealing with the grief of losing a loved one to senseless violence and the callous use of knives as lethal weapons.”
He said police are working “tirelessly” to catch those responsible for “such despicable acts of violence” and said the Met is determined to tackle London’s knife crime – especially among young people.
Commander Jerome appealed for information on the attacks or about anyone who routinely carries a knife.
“If you’ve hesitated to do so before, then these four tragic deaths at the start of a new year may persuade you to act now to make London safer for your family and friends in 2018,” he said.

I’m not making excuses for anyone but this stabbing craze happens all the time. I’d like to blame the muzrat but find it’s better to keep it real and as long as these so called gangsters are just killing each other I don’t really care. It’s when decent hard working people are innocent victims that gets my anger.
No doubt tomorrow’s papers will name the victims. I’ll let you know,
Just as a matter of interest of course.
I’d better get some shut eye, work starts again tomorrow as Christmas is over for another year.

Hello Achmed.
There’s only been one name released so far and it’s a 17 yr old called Kyall Parnell. Apparently a gang of 6 chased him of a bus cornered and killed him.
We don’t know yet who the assailants were but they are being charged with his murder.
The names of the other NYE victims are as yet not known as their families haven’t given permission to name them yet.
But the inner cities of Britain have historically always been violent and if like in the USA guns were easily obtainable there’d be a massive body count. It’s a sad loss of a young lads life but inner city violence isn’t always down to muzzles.
I’m not going soft’ I still hate the scum though!

We, too, have serious problems with inner city violence. Unfortunately, too many of the “fifty to one hundred fifty youths, of African appearance” go out to the suburbs. an dwreak havoc. And, not just theft, but murders, home invasions, rapes of eighty year old women … it’s just unbelievable. I’m just glad to be on the back nine of life.

It’s subzero, over here. In centigrade, to translate as you in that mode, it’s currently around -22C (-8 in real measurement). It’s this time of year that I just keep a fire going and sit .. sit … and sit. What I miss most, with temps such as this, is going into my backyard and having a tamishigiri party, solo. This time of year, I simply remove my swords from the rack, wipe ’em down, powder ’em, wipe ’em and oil ’em and put them back in their rack. Over the past forty years, I’ve accumulated quite the collection … and it makes me feel old … not being able to cut. Yesterday, I called my wife to wish her a happy birthday .. she’s still in Japan, partying with her sisters in their old village. Their long planned holiday to Viet Nam is still a week or two away. She just turned sixty-five .. and I’ll be hitting that milestone, in October … so, I guess I’m feeling particularly old and crotchety. I haven’t taken down a bokken and run kata for close to three months … Yup, I’m feelin’ old.

It’s illegal to:
sell a knife to anyone under 18, unless it has a folding blade 3 inches long (7.62 cm) or less
carry a knife in public without good reason, unless it has a folding blade with a cutting edge 3 inches long or less
carry, buy or sell any type of banned knife
use any knife in a threatening way (even a legal knife)

It’s an inner city culture and even though it’s illegal to carry a knife in the UK there’s still no stopping them.
