I received this extraordinary email from a Muslim who has awakened to the threat posed by Islam, only to be shut down by sharia-compliant leftists. What delusion has overtaken these people? Do they not think this woman, who was born a Muslim and grew up in a Muslim environment, knows what she is talking about? Do they really hold to their religion-of-peace nonsense so tenaciously that they will discount and try to silence her firsthand testimony, and that of others like her? This is a suicidal course of action for them to take, but they will probably only find that out when it is far too late.

This is [Name Withheld]. I sent you an email awhile ago. I am not sure if you received the email. I wanted to let you know that I have been criticized by others because I have the courage to dare criticize Islam. Recently, I have engaged in a twitter war with a liberal. I was trying to explain to them that all the violence happening in the Middle East was due to Islam. The user immediately accused me of this: “You’re a Muslim who is against Muslims?” I don’t know how criticizing Islam meant I am against all Muslims. They’ve tried to shut me down, but I refused to be shut down.
Speaking the truth about Islam is NOT Anti-Muslim. I tried to explain that I wasn’t talking about all Muslims. I was talking about jihadists who are devout Muslims who are practicing Islam. Both Democrats and Liberals just do not understand. Labeling me as Anti-Muslim is just absurd. I have been very critical of Islam recently, and I have expressed my views on Twitter. However, for some reason, when you criticize Islam, Liberals immediately shut you down. They say I am just self-hating. They say I am a hateful person. They say I am not a good person. All for what, just for speaking the truth about the violent nature of a religion that has been stoning people for centuries, killing Jews and Christians, throwing gays off the roofs, oppressing women.I don’t see how anyone could defend this. Liberals are aligning themselves with actual Jihadists like Linda Sarsour. They are not listening to the brave voices of the Muslims and former Muslims who understand the threat of Islam. I came to you because I know you understand what I have been going thru. I have been shut down by Leftists. I just don’t get it. I feel much safer talking to you about this instead of liberals. I don’t want to talk to anyone else but you and Robert Spencer about this. I would be happy if you could publish this on your website so that your readers can read this and understand that Liberals are siding with the Sharia-compliant jihadists instead of with the true moderate Muslims who want to see change in the Middle East and all around the world.

There are many leftists in the medical faculties of the world and they started the rot in the 1950s with their intention of rehabilitating ALL imprisoned criminals. While this is a concept worthy of some praise, it totally misses the point with the violent ones who cannot be understood by psychiatrists (who wish to pigeon hole them)and this has been extrapolated to muslims who are violent without (supposedly) reason. There in lies the problem, as espoused in this purported email from a Muslim women willing to speak out. With out realizing the impact of what she is saying, she clearly is identifying the overwhelming problem of her belief system. Sure there are those who would reject violence, but it cannot be avoided because the underlying concepts of the belief system promotes domination and takedown of those who are non-Muslims. That is the bottom-line that we face from this belief system, and the liberals turn a blind eye to its very existence. Until we all face those factors, the terror will continue ad infinitum. Until the whole world overtly rejects the concepts that support Jihad and Islamic domination, we are spiting into the wind and we will face very wet faces. We need people who will continue to state that their Islamophobia is rational and is based on the character of the belief system that promises to overwhelm all non-Muslims, and the speak out must be vociferous, and it has to be joined by the Muslim community.

I think that if she is serious then we must distinguish between “enlightened muslims” and “moderate muslims” as they are absolutely NOT the same. However my problem is that I cannot resolve ANYONE still remaining a muslim (by continuing to follow islam if not literal sharia law) who feels this way. Therein lies the problem: if she feels this way how can she call herself a muslim as she is an apostate by definition. Thus any “enlightened muslim” who feels as does she. is an actual apostate and no longer a muslim and we all know the half life of such even in the west(unless surrounded by security).

According to the sharia law textbook (and yes, I did check) there is NO death penalty for an apostate. BUT!! There is also NO penalty for killing an apostate so while they do not have the legislation to kill them, they do just allow ranting imams to steam up their brain dead fools and send them over to remove said apostates free of penalties. The death sentence comes from the words of Muhammad (like all of the Koran) or supposedly so and it is CRUCIAL to locking in muslims and their descendants permanently into the Black Hole of islam.

While I have every sympathy with this lady, I very much doubt whether IS or the others would consider her a Muslim at all, my inclination would point to her being regarded as an apostate, and I’m sure she is aware of the penalty for that. In our western Islamic enclaves, many do what they think serves them best, they pretend while answering the call when it comes.
That way they hope to avoid a bashing.
Judging from her letter, I don’t think she will have read the book A God who Hates by Dr Wafa Sultan, written and published in 2006 in America which she fled to with her children to escape Syria and Sharia rejoining her husband.
She too underwent the fire of revulsion when she appeared on Al Jezz, from both Muslim males and the usual suspects in the west. However, she prevailed over all by hitting harder for longer than any of them. She did get the usual threats of a violent death though.
Wafa made the point, valid I think, that when a young girl is brought up in an Islamic household / environment, the scars, the conditioning, remain for life even if she breaks free by moving overseas. Losing your culture and familiarity when you leave your homeland is a common reality for many, too many people like that feel half in and half out, feeling the “need” to check over your shoulder doesn’t help either. Islamic cruelty inflicted on the young IS a “human rights” crime for me and always will be.
This is what I mean by being a “cultural Muslim” in your old life, not being observant above and beyond that which protects your bodily well being and that of any children of the marriage. This is the understandable position of a female in a position of weakness regarded as the “property” of her husband / nearest male relative.
Any woman, young or older trying to escape her personal bitter reality of existence under Islam needs to understand she MUST be prepared for a total clean break in ALL respects from her old restrictive life. Start attending a good church or sports club if you feel the need for spiritual support and comfort and start how you mean to go on. Other empathetic ladies will help you through.
You don’t leave fragments behind when you pull a tooth from an abscess. Do it well and be done.

I do believe that, due to the “Book” they must call themselves Muslims, under the penalty of death.

So the “jihadists” are “devout Muslims” – then a “moderate Muslim” is an oxymoron. I know it’s quite hard to leave Islam but PLEASE don’t try to parse the Koran. It says what it says and those “devout Muslims” are following it.
This letter is sad and a bit absurd. A Muslim going on Twitter is surprised that she will be attacked by Liberals? The only choice this letter writer has is to take her life in her hands and LEAVE Islam or continue to be a “moderate Muslim” and be part of the problem.

Sure, there are those who kill and terrorize and those that don’t but you can’t claim to be part of so-called “religion” whose sole basis is the torture and killing of anyone who does not believe the way you do for an end game of world domination. Hadiths regarding lying :
Um Kalthoom (may Allaah be pleased with her) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “He is not a liar who reconciles between people and conveys something good or says something good.” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, 2495).
The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘Lying is not permitted except in three cases: a man’s speaking to his wife to make her happy; lying at times of war; and lying in order to reconcile between people.’” (Reported by al-Tirmidhi, 1862; he said: it is a hasan hadeeth. See also Saheeh Muslim, 4717).
Ibn Shihaab – one of the narrators of the hadeeth – said: I did not hear of any concession being granted concerning anything that people call lies except in three cases: War, reconciling among people, and what a man says to his wife or a woman says to her husband.
Imam Ahmad (26731) narrated that Umm Kalthoom bint ‘Uqbah said: I never heard the Messenger of Allah grant a concession allowing any kind of lying except in three cases: a man who says something intending thereby to bring about reconciliation; a man who says something at the time of war; and a man talking to his wife or a woman talking to her husband. (Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in as-Saheehah, 545)

I am totally mystified by so-called Moderate Muslims who remain as followers of the Islamic faith. Why associate with an ideology that they do not agree with and participate in. The Islamic faith is based on the Qu’ran, ahadiths, etc that basically teaches violence, hate, deceit and bloodshed. This is diametrically opposed to other religious ideologies that preach love, compassion, forgiveness to all, etc If you do not agree with the teachings and do not follow them get the hell out. There are organizations that will assist in one’s transformation and offer some or total protection from deadly reprisals.

That they are permitted to treat women harshly, to marry girls considered to be pedophilia age by the West and that Moslems can practice ‘Taquiya (white lies) on infidels (that is you and me).

I hear you! I totally agree that Islam needs reform, particularly because of the jihadists who kill innocent people. And as you said, many moderate Muslims are living in fear thanks to the extremists. No one should have to live in fear of suicide bombings, honor-killings, or censorship.
I think you’re brave for expressing your feelings on the subject, and I have hope more Muslims will speak out as well. Reform comes from within, and it’s a good thing you and people like you speak out.
I believe that, even if terrorists and/or tyrants like jihadists and Kim Jong Un rule by fear for a long time, eventually the people being oppressed will have had enough and change things.
The heart often knows, even when told otherwise, that something isn’t right.
I hope that soon Muslims will be able to take back their religion from people like ISIS, and be able to freely speak their minds.
