U.S. District Judge Bernard Friedman. Friedman, 74, this week dismissed the most serious federal charges against two doctors who perform a ritual known as female genital mutilation (FGM).
Federal prosecutors have indicted two doctors and six Detroit area members of the Muslim community for subjecting young girls to female genital mutilation (FGM) procedures. They are charged with 9 counts of conspiring, committing, and concealing acts of FGM, which is illegal in the U.S. (per 18 U.S. Code § 116). Preliminary physical findings made public from genital examinations of two of the child victims revealed,

Assistant U.S. Attorney Sara Woodward has disclosed that defendant Dr. Jumana Nagarwala may have performed some 100 FGM procedures on young girls, so it is shocking that U.S. District Judge Bernard Friedman would drop any of charges in this horrible case.
Friedman ruled that Dr. Jumana Nagarwala and Dr. Fakhruddin Attar didn’t commit conspiracy to transport a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity. “The facts alleged in the indictment do not support this charge because, as a matter of law, FGM, while a prohibited criminal act, is not `criminal sexual activity.”‘ The clitoris is the female sexual organ – the source of human female sexual pleasure. This is sexual crime.
The number of women and girls at risk for female genital mutilation (FGM) in the United States has more than doubled in the past 10 years. More than half a million women and girls in the U.S. are at risk of undergoing FGM in the U.S. or abroad, or have already undergone the procedure, including 166,173 under the age of 18, according to the Population Reference Bureau (PRB).

Unlike male circumcision, female genital mutilation has no health benefits for girls and women.
Female genital mutilation (FGM) involves partial or total removal of the clitoris, causing injury to the female genital organs for non-medical reasons.
Female genital mutilation procedure has no health benefits for girls and women. It removes all possibility of sexual pleasure. It is the worst kind of misogyny.
Procedures can cause severe bleeding and problems urinating, and later cysts, infections, as well as complications in childbirth and increased risk of newborn deaths.
More than 200 million girls and women alive today have been cut in 30 countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia, where FGM is concentrated
FGM is mostly carried out on young girls between infancy and age 15.
FGM is a violation of the human rights of girls and women.
Judge dismisses 1 charge in Michigan female genital mutilation case

A federal judge in Detroit has dismissed one of several charges against two doctors in connection with a female genital mutilation case.
U.S. District Judge Bernard Friedman ruled Sunday that Dr. Jumana Nagarwala and Dr. Fakhruddin Attar didn’t commit conspiracy to transport a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity. Two of the girls Nagarwala is accused of cutting at Attar’s clinic were from Minnesota.

Friedman wrote that prosecutors hadn’t contended that any “libidinal gratification” was “sought or obtained” from subjecting the girls to the procedure.
“The facts alleged in the indictment do not support this charge because, as a matter of law, FGM, while a prohibited criminal act, is not `criminal sexual activity,”‘ Friedman wrote.
Attorneys for the doctors had sought to have the charge dismissed.
Female genital mutilation, also known as female circumcision or cutting, or FGM, has been condemned by the United Nations and outlawed in the United States. But the practice is common for girls in parts of Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
Doctor denies crime was committed
Nagarwala was arrested in April. She is accused of cutting at least six girls at Attar’s clinic in Livonia, just west of Detroit. The two Minnesota girls were brought to Michigan by their mothers, who are also charged in the case. The girls were 7 years old at the time. Their mothers are also charged in the case.
Nagarwala denies any crime was committed. She said she performed a religious custom on girls from her Muslim sect, the India-based Dawoodi Bohra.
A grand in Michigan indicted Nagarwala, Attar and Attar’s wife, Farida, on charges including female genital mutilation and conspiracy. The federal indictment alleged the trio tried to obstruct the investigation by telling other people to make false statement to authorities. The doctors are also accused of lying to investigators.
A total of eight people are charged in the case.

The start of the great betrayal of muslim women by the leftist legal and medical authorities. Personally I have no sympathy for muslim women who support islam but the fact that their men want this and the Leftist swine cooperate to help infuriates me.

The judge may be correct in dismissing the Count 4 charge. Not being a lawyer I find the jargon confusing but it could be taken to read the defendants were knowingly transporting the girl with the intent that she engage in sexual activity, whereas we know that the intent behind FGM is to prevent moslem women from engaging in premarital and extra-marital sex. I will refrain from speculation until I read how the judge rules on all other counts, particularly 1-3 which pertain to committing the FGM act.

I have been giving further thought to your “pro knife”argument, Sunshine Kid. Growing up, on a farm in Iowa, when it was still the number one cattle producer in the nation … I turned hundreds of bulls into steers and thousands of boars into barrows. Couldn’t have done it without a knife. So, yes .. for cuttin’ cattle, hogs, and moslems .. knives are a necessity.

I have no sympathy for Leftist women – who have supported this for my entire sixty years on Earth.
But, but, but … No buts.
We’ve been warning Lefty Female Drones not to drink the Kool-Aid since before Jim Jones turned a flavor product for
children into a synonym for intellectual poison. I remember telling the young ladies that women would regret turning on the West all the way back in Junior High. But Western women by and large went on hating the only anti-misogynist culture on the planet. Anything to advance the anti-West agenda.

The judiciary, not solely in Michigan, is a byproduct of Leftist-Progressivism’s intrusion on this nation’s Judaeo-Christian principles. The censuring of this judge would be apropos; more fitting tossed from the bench. FGM is a heinous, repugnant barbarity set upon Muslim women; however, apparently, this malicious and inhumane act is not an atrocity but merely cultural diversity. It is apparent the self-righteous, self-serving American Feminists will not protest this ruling; after all, Feminism in America is not about the genital mutilation of Muslim sisters but Feminism’s emasculation of males and self-serving causes.
As for the Muslim women who condone this butchery; they, Sarsour and others will deflect FGM and other barbarities committed by Islam as their American sisterhood nod donkey-like with compliance.

No one would support FGM but where does Pam get the idea that “unlike Male circumcision FGM has no health benefits.
Male circumcision after-effects result in on average about 100 deaths per year in the US and in the case of Jews, is only performed for religious ritualised reasons. In addition some children contract diseases from the Orthodox practice of the Rabbi biting the foreskin off
If ‘Health reasons’ are used as an excuse, it should be deferred until adulthood where the child can make the decision for himself.
BTW in Pam’s video, why is the film always reversed. Unless the books on her shelve have been printed in mirror writing.
