Jew-hating, pro-sharia “feminist” Linda Sarsour is playing bait-and-switch with death and oppression, trying to change the subject away from the Iran freedom movement to the supposed persecution of the Rohingya, an utterly false and Islamic imperialist narrative.
The Rohingyas started the conflict by attacking the Buddhists of Myanmar. They murdered 71 police officers in a jihad attack. See this Geller Report article by Dr. Andrew Bostom. They have been involved in massacres of Hindus. Hindu families have fled Myanmar after Rohingyas massacred 86 Hindus. The jihadis dumped their victims in mass graves. The Indian government says that the Rohingyas are a security threat.
And anyway, what’s that got to do with the women of Iran? It’s just an excuse for Linda Sarsour to cover up her utter indifference to the plight of women suffering under sharia in Iran. She wants sharia here, how could she care about sharia oppression there?

The most deafening silence is that of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid al-Hussein, the Jordanian prince always ready to condemn Israel and the United States, but who has never spent a single word on the victims of Iran’s repression.
Then rhere [sic] is the silence of the Human Rights Council’s committees. Not a single urgent declaration by these “experts” on arbitrary detention, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly and torture?
But the silence which is more surprising is that of the feminists.
The Iranian girl waving her white hijab to say no to the Islamic Republic of the ayatollahs has become the iconic picture of the protests. Many young women in Iran are imitating her gesture to say “no” to any form of oppression.
Western feminists are silent.
The National Organization of Women (NOW) is silent. The American Association of University Women is silent, too busy talking about the “wage gap”.
Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom tweeteed that she is “following” the demonstrations in Iran. Not so much from a minister proud to lead “the first feminist government in the world”.
A year ago, Swedish Trade Minister Ann Linde and ten other female members of the Löfven’s government marched in front of Iranian President Hassan Rohani wearing hijabs and long coats, in accordance with the “modesty” laws that in Iran made the Islamic veil mandatory. Ann Linde’s tweets were against online hate speech and climate change.
The tweets of Federica Mogherini, responsible for the foreign policy of Brussels, speak instead of “monitoring” the situation in Iran (she too has drawn long veils on her visits to Tehran, including many selfies with the ayatollahs).
Faced with the attacks of the liberal leader Jan Björklund in the Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet, Ann Linde defended her hijab by saying that she was not ready to violate Iranian law.
So the Iranian girls are abandoned in their struggle against the dictatorship.
American feminist groups are preparing for the “March of women” as they did last year, but while their Iranian sisters take the streets to protest a fundamentalist government, in search of real equal rights, American feminist organizations are disgustingly silent. Real feminists should be mobilized for the cause of these Iranian women, because the struggle for equality does not stop with the correct “gender” pronouns, but should try to defeat an Islamic, Islamist and fundamentalist regime that for decades, has kept women as second-class citizens.
The National Organization of Women (NOW) is silent. The American Association of University Women is silent, too busy talking about the “wage gap”. And the Women’s Marchers? They are organizing a conference …. in Las Vegas. Title? “Together We Rise”.
Linda Sarsour, one of the leaders of the Women’s March, has spent years trying to affirm the hijab as a symbol of “empowerment”. In the past few days, she is busy tweeting against Donald Trump, “American colonialism in Puerto Rico” and in favor of the boycott of Israel.
These feminists should take a tour of Israel, where women can be IAF pilots if they so wish. Then they should go to Saudi Arabia, where perhaps they might even be allowed to drive cars. Perhaps….

I learned a long time ago that there a 2 groups of women. Those who are individuals and those who need the collective for protection. It is similar the the middle school cliques. There were those who would do anything to be a member and those who wanted no part of those cliques.

I think the UN is not useful, carries no validity, no one listens to them, it is not fair, expensive, should be located in another country, so everyone can share in the experience of hosting them. I think it is harmful to the interests of the US. They take America down while bolstering their agenda and whomever they wish to support.

Not true. But those who call themselves feminists today are nothing to do with actually fighting for equality as past generations of feminists did. No, they get all warm and fuzzy – oh, and smug and superior – when they fight for the rights of oppressors over the oppressed. Or something unrelated, like going in to bat for deaf, one-legged, lesbian tree frogs, whose environment is in danger. And this Sarsour woman represents the worst of them.

Afraid I have to agree. As long as the so called feminists remain quiet about all the things that are actually being done to/against women and only concentrate one a few, they are STUPID. I thank God daily that I AM NOT a feminist.

You’d think so, but if it ever happened it’s more likely that somebody with her mind set would still end up blaming whitey and or the US for making conditions in the rapists’ homeland so bad that they have no option but to go gang rape somebody. They have literally no idea what they’re dealing with or just how fortunate they are to live in a country where at least for now, gang rape remains a crime.

When are people going to realize Israel is NOT the problem. Moslems are! But because they (Israel) have the land the Messiah was born and WILL RETURN, something else is at work here.

When a group is silent against such atrocities, it means the truth is not in them. Either they don’t know, or they don’t understand, or they are calloused to it.
As for the feminists of W. Europe, those mentioned in this news piece, Brussels, or Sweden, why did they choose to acquiesce to beliefs which hopefully are not their own? When Muslims come to Western lands, they demand their rights immediately, but when Westerners travel to those lands, they cave in to what is expected of women there.
A woman can be modest without a headscarf, without a long coat, while wearing a cross, while having make up on.
Respect is a two way street, a mutual affair. People can show respect for one another without having to change their appearance.
L. Sarsour should project what the future she fights for would look like. She should acquaint herself well with what the women of Afghanistan contend with, and why the women there have the highest suicide rate. Or Yemen, SA, or Iran.
To be forced into marriage with an unknown, perhaps a much older man, to only show your eyes, or even one eye, or no eyes showing, but a cloth screen. To not drive, to stay in the back of the house, to require a male relative to accompany your few moments outdoors, to have your child be forced into marriage, FGM. She must know that a woman’s voice can be considered seductive, and that women should speak little, or even how they walk is criticized, or if their thick socks are see through, or the material of their coverings is thin, no perfume, no makeup, no speaking to men, no accidentally touching men, as in bumping into someone, shaking hands, no education past the age of 11, or is it earlier?
The problem is that matters always turn for the worst, and what she believes is a modern view, and more liberal acceptance of women’s activities, will actually VANISH into thin air, quicker than a puff of smoke on a windy day. Like it did in places we need not mention here but, that we are well aware of.
One should assess carefully what one yearns for, lest God becomes annoyed and let’s us have it.

I recall reading about a young teen, approx. 16 years old, from Iran, her mother had died, the father was never home, not involved, and she had to care for elderly grandparents. She was seduced and or raped by an older man, she was hung from a crane and died. A child, really. One without a mother. For shame!
There was another report of a woman, I don’t remember details, she and her family lived in Canada, she went back to Iran, I forget if she was an activist, she was imprisoned and systematically beaten to death. Her son spoke out about it and the family were heartbroken, they were in Canada. I remember reading the book, “Not Without My Daughter,” found it at a garage sale, did not put it down till I read the whole thing.
These so called feminists, they should think, because right now, they appear heartless and foolish.

They advocated leaving the children for someone else to raise .. then they advocated NO CHILDREN .. career ahead of family .. abortion .. and yes, they are silent on freedom for Iranian women.
