An appeal has been filed in the case which involves defendant David Daoud Wright. Last month, David Daoud Wright was sentenced to 28 years in prison for conspiracy to provide support to ISIS, conspiracy and obstruction of justice, for recruiting his uncle, Usaamah Rahim, 26, and Nicholas Rovinski, 26, to carry out an ISIS-inspired plot to behead me and kill police officers. This is described in detailing my life under death threat, FATWA: HUNTED IN AMERICA. David Daoud Wright was found guilty on all of the counts.
The appeal shows, contrary to his lawyers’ claims during his sentencing, that Daoud Wright is not remorseful; nor has he renounced the Islamic teachings that incited his murderous actions.
I have not read the appeal, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he invokes Islamic law.

Of course he would appeal, muslims have defined themselves as victims in every possible circumstance. It is time for America courts to pay islam in its own coin, by letting muslims know harshness when they violate American law.

Michael Tumposky of Hedges and Tumposky was legal counsel for David Daoud Wright. I don’t believe that their services were pro bono. One of the accomplices/co-defendant, Nicholas Alexander Rovinski was represented by Office of Defender Services. Wright, is indigent … so, do the simple arithmetic. It would seem that it’s another case of “our tax dollars at work”
